Haven't been here in a while. I see they're relocating to a new bigger and more spacious spot down the street. I'm glad for that. The staff here is helpful when reserving and returning rentals. They delivered the wrong dishes for my wedding. I was told my stuff was delivered to another wedding so several hours before the wedding they drove out a different set. I ordered square white sets and because they didn't have enough, They had to deliver round ones. I had no choice because it was several hours before the wedding. Table clothes had some mold on them and they changed them out. However the dishes they re delivered half of the were dirty. Who ever they use to wash stuff didn't wash them. All my bridesmaids had to work together to wash everything to get weeks old food off everything. they literally wrapped the dishes together with food stuck all over the plates. I gave them about two months to do the right thing and at least offer me some kind of a discount for not only delivering what I payed for, but for us having to do all the work cleaning everything. The ladies in the office were nice, but this company doesn't care about making anything right with customers. Truly is a sad situation because they have no idea how much stress they put me and my husband through on my wedding day and how many tears were shed trying to get 120 guest table settings fixed from there error, and unsanitary dishes taken care of. read more

what has happened to this place?? it's a MESS! the rental supplies are a shambles, the office is disorganized, the showroom is a disaster. dixie rents (i think that's who own this business) needs to do something right away. the manager is a nice person and seems to be trying, but the place and the operation is falling apart. my sons went to pick up tables for an event (they have done this several times for me) and instead of a adult-sized table, a children's-height table was carelessly loaded in. since they close at noon on saturday i had no recourse and was left scrambling. the manager says that comcast can't seem to fix their voicemail system, and that it's hard to find and keep good employees. someone needs to help her! after years of being a customer and seeing the quality, cleanliness and organization at party concepts slide steadily downhill, this was the final straw. i will not be back. read more

10:30 am on a Friday I am told, you will be the first delivery. So of course I schedule people (paid staff) to arrive at 8am and expect to be ready for an 8:30 am delivery. Today at 8:50 am, I am told: "we have to set up a tent and then they will call an hour in advance, will be before noon." As it turns out I will be paying more for my labor to sit on their collective ass than on the cost of rental. "we apologize it will be there by noon" It is 2:20, the delivery that took less than 15 minutes finished just completed. You are first on the schedule for Saturday morning - lie We appreciate your business - nope You will be before noon - fabrication We value you as a customer - not I can not recommend this company any less. Party Concepts has kicked off the new year with a positive vibe. I went this week to order tables, chairs, etc for my daughters wedding and the ladies up front took very good care of me and my husband. They are very organized and answered all of our questions. When it came time for pick up, the warehouse men were all very nice and had our order cleaned and ready to go. Overall my family had a great experience. I wouldn't rent from these people ever again..the manager is a liar...there products are sub-par...we ended up with broken chairs and moldy seat covers..and yes i have pictures...it took all day for a simple delivery..our event was on a Saturday..they did not pick up their chairs and dishes until Monday...needless to say the venue was very upset...DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE...the owner is sleeping with the pathetic, smart mouth manager..he has no backbone and will not talk to you...again DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!! read more

I came by Party Concepts last week to get some information about reserving a tent for my reception. My mom and I were never acknowledged when we came in while two ladies sat at their desks and nothing was said to us. Nothing is worse than not having some sort of greeting when you enter a business.. I decided to go to them & felt like I was bothering them. One lady never looked away from her computer while the other girl had a hard time answering my questions in pricing without consulting with the other lady. The price has an additional delivery fee and set up/break down fee which is fine but doesn't make sense. It should just be a part of the price considering I'm not picking the tent up or setting it up myself! Needless to say, horrible experience & I will be taking my business somewhere else so these ladies could get back to whatever they were doing. read more

I have been using Party Concepts for 25 years both in my business and personal life. On average, 4-6 times per year. The last few years, I've noticed a significant decline in their service and products. It starts with the exterior and interior of their building. It's all in bad shape- peeling paint, rotting wood, driveway is a mess. But, the inside store space is like walking into a total disaster. Honestly, it makes me uncomfortable to go in and after my last experience the weekend if May 14th, 2016, I won't. It's simply a chaotic mess in the store which totally reflects the business it has become. This is so sad to me. I rented some chairs, tables, plates, linens. Etc for a graduation party. Inside the 2 ladies working are in the side area off the showroom which is odd space anyway. No clear area to check in, place an order, get help. After a less than prompt acknowledgement of my being there, one offered to help me. They had to clean off a chair to make space for me to sit down. Once I did, she was helpful with suggestions, wrote up the contract, and took my money. We decided on a delivery day the morning of the Friday prior to my event with a pickup on Tuesday after the event only because their Monday schedule was always so packed. This was no problem for me as I could just rearrange my work schedule as needed. On delivery day, I was instructed they would call when they were on the way. I waited at my house all morning. At 1:00 pm I started calling as I was concerned and now needed to run the errands I had postponed in the AM to wait for them. Their phone was busy until 4:00 pm so I drove over to Party Concepts to ascertain if I was receiving my delivery or not. I was fairly concerned by now. When I walked in their were several people ahead of me also experiencing some issues and there was only 1 lady working. When I got to the counter, the lady said yes, my delivery driver was coming but they had been behind all day due to a shortage in staff. I asked about the phone situation and she explained that she the phone had been crazy all day. Not sure what this means but I was never able to get through. She said the driver would be there around 5 pm but would call before he leaves the stop ahead of me. Ok, I go back home and wait. He does arrive close to 5 but never calls. The delivery-I'll start by saying the delivery driver was very nice but was by himself. I ordered 2 10 foot round tables which were VERY difficult for him to remove from the large delivery truck by himself. He actually tried to back into my driveway first and realized the pitch of the driveway was too much as he left a 1 inch gauge in the concrete. Anyway, he literally rolled and dropped the tables off the truck and got them up my driveway. He forgot the plates so he offered to drive back to party concepts and get them immediately. I told him he could bring them back Saturday but he indicated that Saturday would be even crazier so he'd better do it now which I appreciated. Again, he was nice but looked kind of crazed. He did bring the plates back. When we set the tables up, one of the wooden tables was so damaged and splintered that we had to use duck tape in it before putting the linens on it so our guests wouldn't hurt themselves. Probably from dropping it off the truck but; honestly, the tables were in such bad shape period. To top it off, I get a call while in a meeting at work the following Monday that Party Concepts is at my house to pick up? what? After all that, they had asked me to let them pick up Tuesday and I had agreed because it was better for them. It was par for the course, with this experience. My big concern here is that Party Concepts no longer acts like they want to be in business or be a good neighbor. Perhaps they are about close which would be a loss for midtown. If not, they need to completely regroup on what they want the experience of their customer to be. read more

I found this business quite odd to be operating in this day and age. It seems as though they are "riding the fence"... I mean, is it where you go if you need an event planner, or simply to rent things such as tables & chair? Is it "the new day spa?"?? A few weeks ago, while visiting with a friend who'd placed a rather simple order (with the manager, herself over a week previous) I stood in the corner & watched the woman who claimed to be the manager running around (in her blue jeans and t-shirt)... My friend, Timothy, was TRYING to get a moment to explain that she'd all but murdered the order she'd placed 2 weeks previous, but she refused to give him the time of day... Too busy, too busy... (Obviously there were more important matters for her to attend to. A wedding SHE is responsible for!!!) Her office staff WERE equally as odd. While one was following her around at full speed, the other was serving the 4 or 5 walk-in customers who'd gotten there before us... Answering the phones, which was equally as unforgiving to this woman (& didn't even have caller ID???). So, we waited & finally the tiny, unstoppable office worker helped my friend, to the BEST of her ability; despite being treated like yesterday's clam sauce, but the shocking truths about this place did not end here. We truly grasps just how unsafe, and out of control this so-called dinosaur aged business IS once it was finally time to pay the bill, for the rental that was botched-up so badly, & by a self-proclaimed "professional Event Planner", no less; (but I'm telling the truth, so listen-up!!) After they printed out some type of form they stated was a "contract", they THEN casually placed a piece of carbon (like the carbon paper we all used to get with a business checking account, and deposit book) in between two of the contracts & told my friend to sign here, initial there, blah, blah, blah... And, I'm NOT even kidding. All this was quite telling, but once we got a glimpse of the ?WAREHOUSE?, we just wanted to call the entire thing a wash, & get out butts out of that vicinity with the speed of lightening!! The building structure looked as though it would collapse in on everyone, if anyone so much as sneezed hard! It was either going to fall-in at any moment, or the stench of all the dead rodents would surely gag us ALL until we suffocated from it. Now, bare in mind that I have NEVER given a 1-star rating to ANY business, no matter if it was on Yelp, Facebook, or anywhere else; but THIS business is in desperate need of some REAL help! I ordered items for my daughter's wedding in September and had a great experience. The ladies were very helpful. We were trying out balloons with lights and I made a couple of trips trying different balloons and different lights and the ladies were always eager to help. We picked up some of the rental items ourselves and some were delivered. The delivered items came when expected. I was pleased with their service so will be using them again for my son's wedding in late December. read more

Do not rent anything from this company or give them any business. They are rude, unprofessional and unorganized. I spent over $1,000 renting things for an event and on the day of my event they delivered the items to my home instead of the venue. I had to call them and complain and they said it was a mix up with a delivery driver and told me they would deliver to the venue. They get to the venue and they don't have our chairs or backdrop we have ordered. We call and complain about that and the delivery driver has to go back to the warehouse and pick them up by himself over a 100 chairs which a all of them were ruined and some broken. The chair cushions that came with them were stained and smelled horrible we paid $5 per chair. I have been asking to speak with a manager since Friday and they refuse to speak to me. Elisha the manager and owner have a romantic relationship. Elisha is very rude and she lies and tries to bully you and then when you push back and are rude with her it's a problem. My cousin was visiting from out of town and had to help the delivery guy load the truck and unload the products. They were supposed to pick their products up the next day and never showed up we waited for hours I called and they said they were running late and they showed up on Monday. I will never again rent anything from this company. The week of my event, the time for delivery on tables and chairs was changed four different times. The day of my event, the delivery was supposed to be made at noon, but the delivery deiver called at 8am. I had to change the schedule of events to accommodate that time. I was told the tables and chairs would be picked up the next day before noon. At 11am, I called to confirm because I hadn't heard anything, at which time, I was advised they had other things to do and would not be picking them up within that time frame. The place we used for our event had been rented for that day by someone else, and they were trying to decorate, while we were in their way. Apparently the delivery driver told someone in the office they had spoken to me and attempted to pick up the tables and chair, but they didn't. They also didn't care that aomeone else had rented the venue and we were causing a delay on their event. HORRIBLE company. read more
