This Party City store didn't have much - shelves are cleaned out. They didn't have what we were looking for so we had improvise. They DON'T Have any party supplies for a 75th Birthday. We asked and was told by a snarky cashier that they only carry numbers end in zero to eight- even numbers - but we did see 21.... Saw 60 and 80 but no 75... Lame!! So we ordered the $31 balloon package - 2 large foil numbers and 12 latex balloons. Make sure they don't ADD anything else because the price goes UP! We got plates, napkins with just a generic Happy Birthday. Not many birthday designs. We were of course disappointed. We ordered our balloons. Let just say the one of the balloons popped on our way to the party in car- Lame. Later after party Another balloon- a Large one Popped!! We were so upset! Cheap balloons and lame service help. And so many Halloween decorations but no after Halloween discounts - even more Lame. read more

I go to Party City once every 10 years. It hasn't changed much since my last visit. I was warmly welcomed by the cashier who seemed to be doing all the work (directing employees, greeting, getting balloons, and cashier). She moved quickly and was helpful. What I didn't like, and other reviews have brought this up, is the chaos of the store. It's like someone had a party and didn't put things back properly. For example, I went in to get stuff for a 40th birthday. The isle (not numbered or listed) started out with 16, then 21 and then it was looking good but then it went 30, 50, 40, 30.... all mixed up. I had to do a bit of looking up and down the isle to find the 40th birthday decorations. They were not all together. This added more time and effort to what should have been a quick in and out trip. Planning birthdays are hard enough without this added stress! I wound up just getting two large number 4 and 0 balloons. With the weight (which was an extra cost) and balloons it came out to $30, which I felt was expensive. The balloons were already deflating by night time. Overall, 4 stars for hospitality but 2 stars for lack of organization, price and availability. read more

I needed balloons for my niece's graduation. So I get in line where the cashier tells me to go pick out latex balloons and she'll meet me over there with Mylar ones. So we go over to where they're being blown up only to be ignored while who I believe to be the Manager begins talking to the cashier over the earpiece and just leaves us standing there. She gruffly tells another girl she needs to go on break and needs to be relieved. I had to leave to take my husband to get his haircut so I come back and go back to where they're blowing up the balloons only to be ignored once again by the replacement. So I finally speak up as I'm not here just to watch you blow up balloons. Not how I get my kicks. So I asked again what I'm supposed to do. Who I believe to be the manager tells me to go to another aisle and pick out Mylar balloons and then I need to stand in the long, long line yet again. So I pick the balllons, stand in line yet again only to be told it's going to take 40 mins to air them up. No, Ma'am! I need to go pick up my husband. I ended up taking my business to Michael's who puts your customer service and incompetence to shame. I won't he back. Stay away if you do not want to be giving them a 1 star review. And...I just walked into Fry's last night, and their balloons put Party City's to shame and gave way better pricing. Never again, overrated Party City! Never again!! read more

Just at Party City to buy some chocolate kisses in bulk. Saw one 17.5 for 7.00. Then saw a larger size 35 oz. For 10$. Decided to get larger one instead of two. Cashier calls manager over and the manager says we can't sell that to you. I ask why. She says it's supposed to be on the 10 for $1 bin. So I ask since it's on the shelf why can't they sell it to me- mind you the bag is marked party size. She says because it was misplaced. So I say you mean you're going to open this bag, pour it out into the 10 for 1 bin? Then she starts rolling her eyes at me with the cashier like I'm too dumb to understand. She walks away with the item and says you can get the smaller size but you can't have this. I was pissed so I say since it's your mistake you should go get me the two bags. She made this annoyed sound like a teen might do.. She comes back with the two bags, gives it to the cashier and walks off. I say thank you and she doesn't even acknowledge it. I'm so pissed considering contacting corporate office and registering a complaint I will never shop Party City again! read more

This is a typical Party City, they've got lots of party supplies, greeting cards, candy and even some toys. It's large, clean and well organized. The employees were friendly and efficient. I went here for one last item for my daughters cake. They have everything! Seriously the selection just goes on and on! I don't think I could dream up a party that they don't have everything you need. The customer service tho could use a lot of help! The lady I asked to help me find something was very nice! The cashier who answered the phone 2x and didn't put the callers on hold and apparently can't multitask at all! Turns out her hands don't work if she's on the phone.. So it took well over 5 mins to ring up for 5 items. My 4 year old who was at the end of her patience was so excited that who ever was calling was more important than the customers in front of the cashier. We were the only ones in line! If we had not been then for 20 mins and at 2 other stores before it I would have just left and bought our needed stuff somewhere else. read more

I stop in here now and again and occasionally make a purchase. It's one of those stores that you'll need time to get through; a big heap of small items which are apparently very difficult to keep orderly. Perhaps they are chronically understaffed? I don't know. It's quite messy every time I go in. Staff is ok, not overly friendly, not rude, not readily available to help if you need help. They offer an unreal amount of party supplies, cheap decor and party favors. Oodles of stuff from grass skirts to candy to everything you would need to decorate a party as long as it's not a high-end affair. read more

I stopped in this morning at 9:30 and needed plastic tablecloths on rolls. I asked where to find them and the person working just pointed and said isle #3. Then she looked away and started working on whatever she was doing which was more important than me. No attempt to take me to the location. Since the isles aren't numbered I had to search around until I found them. When I checked out the girl at the register doesn't like her Job.....no smile, minimal eye contact. What an awful customer experience. The only reason I gave this review a 2 is I found some neat Halloween items for my grandchildren. read more

I always spend sooo much money here! This store is... how can I say this... FUN! I come in to buy one thing and leave with a billion. There are always cute little gadgets, toys, candies, decorations for ALL types of festivities. You name it, weddings, birthdays, bridal or bachelor/ bachelorette events, Halloween, Christmas, Easter, baby showers, EVERY. SINGLE. HOLIDAY. I gave it an A- OK not because they are lacking in their departments, but I came to shop at 7 PM on a weekday and the doors were open, however, the employees shouted at us that they were closed. It's one thing to close early, which they were doing so, it's another to yell at the customers. Usually, the staff are great and very helpful, but that day wasn't the best for them! Oh and another thing, before you go in to shop, look online for clearances and sales. Depending on what theme or character you are looking at, there have great deals for really cheap. I wish I could give more stars. It isn't the merchandise, which is pretty standard, but the customer service that has me raving. We needed something very specific, rubber ducks, for my wife's upcoming art exhibit. I asked the cashier where they were. Before I could find them, a stock clerk was there to help me. The cashier had called to I'm to meet me in the right area. He helped me locate a few options. Then I explained that my wife, who is disabled, was in the car. So, he walked me out in order to let her pick the product she wanted. As we walked back in, he held out his hand and said, I can take care of the ones she didn't want, which I was still holding. When I got to the cashier not only did she give me immediate attention but she also took a moment to ask me about the reason for my purchase, not in a nosy manner but with real interest. When I told her, she asked when and where the exhibit would take place and why the duck theme. All while efficiently handling the transaction. Talk about feeling like a valued customer. This was truly exceptional. Then, as I was leaving, I heard the stock clerk from a bit away thanking me and wishing me a great day. Seriously young man, you and your co-worker had already made it great. read more

In case anybody needs this information: I received a call from the store today to let me know that they are closing and that I can only come today before 6 to pick up my order. I couldn't do that because I am currently out of town. I then asked her to cancel and refund my order since it could not be filled and she said it was no problem. I then receive another call saying that they couldn't refund my balloon order because it had already been process. Mind you that it wasn't ready for pick up until Thursday (after they would be closed). After talking with the manager, the best that he could do was give me the order or refund me after the store reopened, whenever that would be. This was highly disappointing as it was not my fault that the store was closing and therefore they should refund the $70 I paid for the balloons. I asked for a corporate contact to see if they could help with the refund since the manager said "it was out of [his] hands" and he said that they were all gone and couldn't help me. After finally hanging up the phone, I found the contact for their corporate office and was able to call and talk to someone who was able to easily refund my order. Therefore, if you are in this same situation, I suggest starting there because the store itself is VERY unhelpful. TLDR; Call the corporate number on their website to get a refund for orders that are being halted by the store closure because the store employees will not help you and will ultimately screw you. read more

Yes, it's a big box giant, but Party City has everything I need! At least most of the time. I'm not even certain if it's priced well, but the fact that I can count on it to deliver the good is really all that matters. I'm there 1-2 times a month and I'm always greeted by nice employees and when they see me walking around in circles, they're eager to help out and point me in the right direction. I wish there was a Party City on the West side of town, because the drive can get kind of daunting at times. This store needs adult supervision! I ordered an item online for store pickup and one would think that I was the first person who ever did so. The two girls at the checkout didn't know what to do and one guy roamed the store to try to find my item while also helping other customers. I give two stars because one employee took the initiative and found my held item. The Party City customer service on the 800 number is NOT customer service. The multiple prompts ("If you're calling about...") may not address your problem and some of them don't connect you with a person. When I was finally connected to someone and asked why I have a pending charge on my credit card even though I paid in store, the lady argued that you don't pay online for store pickup. I assured her that I had to enter my credit card number when placing the pick up order. Again she said "No, no, you don't do that on store pick up items." At the risk of starting an ugly argument, I reiterated that you must enter the credit card number to complete the store pick up order. Her response was "Well maybe it was to hold the item." Maybe? That's the extent of their knowledge? I think Party City has seen the last of me. read more

It is a big warehouse of party supplies almost anything you need, although I was very disappointed with their selection of themes. I'm planning a Dr Seuss themed birthday party for my (almost) one year old, and they don't have a single Dr Seuss item. I spent around 20 minutes picking out decorations for my sister's graduation party. The good thing about Party City is that they have a great selection of items. I waited in line another 10-15 minutes because there was only one register open and the other 2 employees were blowing up balloons. When I finally got to the front to pay with my credit card, the girl informs me that she needs to see my ID. Why am I getting carded for buying plates and tablecloths? I used to love Party City so much but lately I have been so disappointed every time I go. All due to the employees. The store can get a little chaotic during peak time like Halloween or graduation time but for the most part it's easy to navigate & browse for what you want. Because no one is going to help you find anything. Being a stay at home mom I tend to be the one that plans all the birthday parties, holidays, school things, Halloween you name it so this store is my go to. But the employees seem bothered to actually do their job & it seems to always be one person doing everything while others talk or roam around. Last Monday I bought 2 foil balloon bouquets for my niece & nephew's birthday party; basically $35 of balloons plus all the other decor to match etc. Normally I would do a balloon order to come in & grab them the morning of the party but he didn't want to bother. He asked when my party was. I said this Saturday. He literally double checks what time they open & tells me "oh yeah just stop by a little early & we'll fill them" Uh ok... well this was a joint birthday party with them & my daughter. I ordered my daughter's decor online to pick up in store including her balloon bouquet. So I stop in Friday to pick up her decor & give them my purchased balloons from Monday to be filled & picked up with the others from online. I'm informed they aren't filling anymore balloon orders but my online ones will be done then I'm directed to purchase an expensive helium tank I don't even know how to use to fill expensive balloons I might over fill & pop. No!... he wouldn't take my balloon order Monday & told me to just bring them in now you "can't" do it? I wouldn't have bought them then. Instead of arguing I just said ok, went home & ordered the same balloon bouquets online to be picked up filled. Magically it gets done that way. So I go in Saturday at 11am to get the 3 balloon bouquets. It wasn't they "can't" because they obviously "did" they just didn't want to. I see them there done & waiting. There is one cashier & a line looped around. I wait & wait finally I spot 2 female employees laughing & talking in an isle. They weren't working; one of them literally had her foot propped up on a step ladder & the other with her arms crossed. I was not interrupting anything critical & just asked if there was someone that could grab me balloon bouquets that were already done & ready to go. She took her foot of the step ladder sighed & rolled her eyes while walking to the ballon counter. Not once did she make eye contact or say anything to me even after I said thank you & have a good day. I don't know what is going on there but clearly no one wants to be there. Management needs to sort it out & figure out why there is no team work or customer service going on. Also employees need to remember that it's not the customers fault you don't like your job. Believe me I know there are customers that are just awful. But there's no reason to treat the ones that are polite & respectful like crap for nicely asking you to do something that is part of your JOB while you are AT YOUR JOB. It's beyond frustrating & so unnecessary. From now on I'm only doing online to store pick up so I don't have to be there or ask for anything & Spirit for costumes. read more

I was passing through the area last week and stopped in to get some specific items. I found the the staff pleasant and helpful. It's definitely a busy place with Halloween, Homecoming and more but they helped me get what I needed and honored my coupon. I did hear lots of people complaining about the lack of helium, so I looked into it online to find that helium shortage is a real thing. The best thing about Party City is the awesome selection of Halloween costumes and decorations! We received their catalog of costumes last month, my girls had their costumes picked out and all we had to do was give the numbers to the sales clerk! i recently went to party city to get ideas for my daughter's 2nd birthday party. they have a lot of inventory, and as previously mentioned, they have paper goods in basically all the colors of the rainbow!! the store was neat. they're gearing up for halloween and have lots of costumes and candies around the store. the kid's party section definitely had a lot of different characters to choose from. i was looking for ni hao kai-lan (nickelodeon) and found exactly what i was looking for. they had everything from plates, forks, knives, invitations, stickers, balloons and thank you cards for the theme i was going for. my only complaint: the associates not asking you if you'd like any assistance in finding something. they would just kind of look away or pretend to be busy as i walked by. read more

I was NOT very happy with the service I received at this location on Sunday, February 8. There was a lack of customer service and I waited at the store for over 20 minutes for help! I left the store with none of the items I had picked. I truly hope this improves, because I was a loyal customer of Party City until my last visit. read more

I just went to stock up on some bachelorette party supplies and found the staff to be very knowledgable and helpful. Even walked me to the right place in the store (which is massive!) to find the goods. I was a little disappointed by the lack of options for bachelorette party. They did have the normal stuff (necklaces, monogrammed bride shirt, cup, prop rings, etc.), but not as large of an array as I would have expected from a party store - particularly since the store is so huge! But I was able to get the basic staples and will need to go elsewhere for additional "novelty" items. : ) read more

Came in this morning to get helium for balloons I purchased here. The store was supposed to open at 1030, but at 1030 the doors were locked. There was already a line forming at the door. I overheard the young lady ahead of me call the store at 1035, but apparently no one answered the phone. Then a young man started knocking on the door when finally the assistant manager unlocks the door. He offered no greeting or apology. I was then first in line to get the balloons blown up only to be told to wait. I then watch this assistant manager walk over to another cash register then he ends up helping out another customer who came in after me. After I glare at him he finally came over to help, again no apology or greeting. Only tells me I have to pay to get helium in some of my balloons. I told him I was told yesterday that all the balloons I purchased here yesterday would be free to put helium in as long as I bring in a receipt. He tells me no and charges me for those balloons. Not a fan of poor customer service. He did tell me to have a nice day after I paid almost $6 to get these balloons blown up. read more
