I stopped by this Party City to pick up balloons for her certificate ceremony. This Party City is near my work so it was closed by. I came during lunch time and they were not busy at all. I found parking easily and when I walked in, they had so many options for balloon. You're suppose to pick one and then take it to counter to pay. They'll do everything for you and ask if you want weights or any add ons as well. Keep in mind that the weights and add ons are not free. I found what I wanted here and the customer service I received was also. They will also walk your balloons order for you to your car if needed. read more

Holly Rocks! A few days before new years a few of our party mates became ill so we had to cancel plans , Holly was so gracious I had a few items labeled 2023 and even though it's a only few days before she still allows the return. That's great customer care. Probably why some of the local stores made it through the pandemic- great customer care is the best a corporation can do during a trying economy to win over loyal customers . I noted my receipt said 7 days prior to the holiday they accept returns . I called and asked if i could return at least the few 2023 themed items and she asked do you have receipt? Yes I do! Again Holly, Thanks for the grace . with covid I've noticed a lot of companies relaxing return policies and other store policies to accommodate customers .Will shop here again and I highly recommend this store . read more

Wow they have everything you could possibly need for party and gift giving. Except whatever is out of stock, which regrettably was just about everything I needed. But I still found plenty of stuff and the staff was very helpful I have been here before and I will keep coming back read more

Fraudulent activity at this location. I prepaid for balloons to be delivered for my baby shower. They never showed up. Called multiple times, and they claimed the balloons had been delivered and refused to return my money. Never shopping here again, and would not recommend their delivery option. They sold having free delivery to me as a great park, but all it did was cause stress and I never got my balloons. read more

I've been to many Party City stores in different towns and cities, but this one in Newbury Park always has what I'm looking for and, for me, is the most complete. I couldn't find helium for the last few months, and was I surprised to find not one but two sizes of helium tank balloon kits. Service is great, as all staff and employees are eager and available for questions to find anything among thousands of detailed party items. Parking is easy, with enough distance between the two busy stores to have open spaces. read more

Stopped in today to buy a pair of gloves for my teen for Homecoming. Found the perfect pair. We get to the register & she asks the clerk if they are returnable if they don't fit. He says, "Yep." And rings them up, as I'm about to pay, he adds, "Depending on who's working." I said, "Wait. What?" He said as long as they "looked" unopened, they would likely be accepted as a return. I told him we were definitely going to open them & make sure they fit & if they didn't, I would be returning them. He said, "well, you can try." So... no sale. Seriously? Figure out your policy. Really poor shopping experience. I suppose a main reason people keep shopping at Amazon & Walmart, resulting in these stores going bankrupt, is a return policy!! read more

I just moved to the area and was pleasantly surprised to find the Simi Valley store, which was clean, well organized, and offered a wide variety of party items. I purchased a preassembled helium prefilled Ballon display, which was beautiful. My only concern was the price, but since it was a last-minute purchase.... read more

I'm giving one star for this location because they either have terrible quality balloons or helium. My mother in law bought a bouquet of balloons for my daughter's 2nd birthday yesterday around 11:20am and the giant unicorn balloon started deflating around 3pm. The cool balloons with confetti inside were on floor at 5am this morning when I got up. They didn't even last 24 hours. However, the balloons I bought from dollar tree 3 days ago are still perfect. I wouldn't buy balloons from party City again. read more

Party City - Dead in less than 24 hours - Party Supplies Near Me - Simi Valley, California

Our dear friend had a milestone birthday last month. I offered to help with the decorations. She had it covered, but did ask if I could pick up balloons. I called this Party City location to ask about pricing and how I should handle the order. A dozen latex balloons, filled with helium will run $15, and if I paid for them in advance and gave a time for pickup they'd be ready. Stopped in on a Thursday to choose the colors and quantity, paid for the order, gave my contact information, and back out the door for the next errand. They offered a bag to contain the floaty filled balloons for a dollar and I went for that, thinking of how hard it is to drive with bobbing balloons in the car. Saturday morning I was back for the pickup part of the deal. Several others in the short line were also getting balloons for their parties. I didn't see my order up front, but they quickly got it from the back. I was able to find a gift bag and card to finish prepping for the event, too. Each interaction I had with their staff members was good on both visits. When I was friendly with them, the attitude was reflected back. I didn't go wandering the aisles to see what they had in stock, but first impression was that they seemed full of merchandise ready to help raise a party spirit with decor, costumes, supplies for serving food and lots more. Parking is free and plentiful. My balloons, corralled in their bag, were easy to wrangle, and off to the party we went. read more

I went here on Sunday to get balloons filled and SERIOUSLY the staff was so nice. When she was ringing me up, she was like "oh, you do not owe for us to blow these up because it looks like you purchased them here.". I had no idea bc my sister sent me to get the filled for my nieces birthday party but I thought that was super legit that she was so honest and helpful and took the time to be thorough. read more

This review is for Russell only because the cashier with the dark greasy hair was giving wrong information. Russell is a GREAT employee. He was very helpful and guided me to exactly what i needed. I would hire this employee myself. Great job Russell. read more

Par-tay Cityyy! ("PC") The lovely retail chain for when it's time to cut loose and get down. PC's are pretty ubiquitous and similar and this location is your typical one. Every last detail you may need for a festival of grand proportions is available. We usually visit for Halloween decorations and costumes for the little one. My only beef is with the prices. MANY of the items in PC can be found much cheaper at Wal-Mart and Target. However, if you're looking for a specialty costume this is certainly the place to go. I've always found the employees to be very nice and helpful at this location. There is plenty of parking and the store is pretty good sized, well maintained and not super crowded. 4 stars overall. Taking 1 away for some of the silly prices. read more

Drove all the way across town to order ribbons for a baby shower (AFTER calling to see if they provided that service). I was told on the phone that they DID print party favor ribbons and that it took 3-5 working days. I arrive at the Simi Valley location, grab one of the books to order from, sit down and start picking out what I want. I tell the girl I'm ready to order - she calls up her manager, who comes and tells me that they don't do personalized party favor ribbons or anything out of those books. First - why do the people answering the phone tell customers that they DO provide those types of services? And why are the books still out on your salesfloor for customers to look at ?! Only to be told that Party City no longer works with those vendors!! What a waste of my time!! read more

I purchased a large 21st balloon for my daughter and unfortunately it didn't stay afloat before the party. After being appointed to plan an event -- I waited until the very last hours prior to the event. I walked in not having an idea of what to do or get. I immediately asked for assistance for the specific event & Ravin immediately sprung into action. She pointed me to the right direction & introduced me to a "Halloween Expert" (did not catch the gentlemen's name). He was able to throw in ideas & offered to bring me a cart & assisted to bringing my items to the checkout counter. My purchases included quite a bit of balloons as well as many other items & that's when Raven broke me the bad news. Helium tank was already reserved for previous online orders -- however she did have a solution for me. Whether it's a "sales tactic" by Party City or not -- I needed a party to host & I had to deliver. Ravin's easy solution was to purchase a helium tank & recommended me the right tank size! She stated that it was better to have more than to come up short & I could have not agreed anymore. Also went above and beyond to point out the online coupon of savings. This is service -- all with a great sense of humor & smiles on their face. Truly exceptional experience! Never the less, the party was quite a success!!! Thanks to the staff at Party City I think I might have found my side gig on the weekends. I'm becoming a Party Planner :D. read more

nice employees and the store has a nice selection for special parties. Pretty good party city

Love all they do for Make A Wish! The employees and managers are always helpful. I hope they survive the Covid closures.

I had a very good customer service phone call with raven! She went the extra mile help me find an item that I was looking for for Halloween . I really appreciated her help and how nice to take a million steps to help me. Thanks raven! read more

I don't usually like to leave bad reviews. But the grade of helium used at Party City is not good enough for balloons. I visited this branch and had some balloons filled, the next day they were on the floor and deflated. The same day I also purchased balloons from the Dollar Tree, they lasted 5x longer than the Party City balloons. The customer service in this branch was good, but a shame that the helium was not up to par. read more

So so customer service and they don't go out of heir way to help you! I go if absolutely necessary but for balloons and other simple decorations I go to the Dollar Tree now. All their balloons are a dollar whereas party city has the same ones for $3+ Shop their prices with other local stores. read more

They have awesome stuff! The store is giant and supper clean inside. You can go inside last minute and find tons of of cool items. They have different genres from basketball to 40th birthdays. Its just a super awesome place, they also have wedding stuff including favors. If you need fun birthday balloons, gag gifts, and cool kid party ideas this is your store. The simi location is especially awesome because it is big and clean. If you sign up for their emails they constantly have coupons that you can use towards your purchase. There is no other store like this! read more

Party City - The front of the store! - Party Supplies Near Me - Simi Valley, California

For the reviewers who say the staff isn't the best -- well, what do you expect when they're making minimum wage and working in a warehouse setting? The supplies here are what you come for, and they're pretty great for your typical party that isn't too fancy -- particularly great for children's parties. I came here for my friend's son's 1st birthday and got adorable balloons in the shape of a rainbow with happy clouds and a big happy face sun. They are still alive after 10 days, too, which is pretty incredible. The thing that drives me truly crazy about this Party City is that they play well known songs, but they're all covers by really mediocre artists who sound like they do karaoke. Cheesy as all hell. The parking lot is very convenient, and you're nearby some other businesses like Petsmart, Aldi, Home Depot and Walmart. read more

Awesome Vibe!!! Party City has anything fun/party//celebratory related you can think of, it's really a cool store, not fancy by any means howvever. While I was walking the aisles searching for NYE goodies for roughly 15 minutes, I was approached by multiple employees willing to offer help and information. They had a great $10 NYE package deal filled with enough stuff for 8 people. Bonus points for the huge inventory of Balloons and easy pickup. read more

Jennifer at the counter today, so amazing, helpful, patient, and hardworking. The reason only 2 stars. The manager came up to help Jennifer as she was checking out customers and also trying to blow up balloons. So he helped set up one of those reward accounts for the customer ahead of me. Mind you there is now a line of 4-5 people including me, manager turns and walks away to the back never to be heard from or seen again. Poor Jennifer over and over sorry for the wait, there's only two of us in the am. No hun there's only one of you and it's you, and you're doing great. Your manager should've been helping you and helping customers rather than anything else at that moment. read more

There's a girl that works here named Mia. TERRIBLE attitude and no inclination of how to treat a customer. We had a simple question about whether or not they had any more of the 115pc candy bags that they had advertised. When asked about it, Mia said "No we're all out." We asked if they had anything that would be a good substitute, and Mia said "No. There's nothing I can do about that." She completely dismissed us and started walking away while giving us dirty looks and then gossiping to her fellow coworker about it. Management, you need to have a word with Mia because you just lost a customer. read more

Worst Party city ever!! It's never stock, make sure to call before going. They never have anything. This past Sunday it was my daughter's first bday and I went to buy some balloons and they didn't have any helium! Wtf??? What party City dosent have helium!! It was so upsetting. The manager offered me 15% off a tank of helium. First of all what is 15% ? Nothing! Ripoff and secondly I don't need a tank I just needed a few balloons. Went to the 99 cent store they had better service than this place read more

A little messy and not a huge selection of large inventory. Staff is nice though and parking is easy.

I have never had problems shopping here , I have had pleasant experiences with the staff , however today 10/31/16 was not just any other day!! I bought my oldest son his Batman costume weeks before halloween and I recall the girl packing up the costume back in bag after pulling it out to see prior to buying it. I truly believe that it could of fallen out on way to pay for it or at the counter.Long story short , the mask n cape all in one and the belt was missing as we pulled out the costume 2 hrs prior to Leaving trick or treat. I called the store explained and I'm thinking it was Sarah not 100% sure because my brain was frazzled on trying to find my son the missing accessories! regardless she came through and found one for me and had it ready up at the counter! walked in said my thank you and walked out and just to see the big smile on my son , was worth my last minute jumping hoopes. Thank you so much for what you did and though my name was misspelled she got it close enough and my son was a happy Batman! read more

Manager didn't help too busy working on balloons. She didn't help the cashier as the line was building. They don't do cash back on returns over 10 dollars is all she could yell from across the room. Very rude . The management need to be trained better in customer service. The only smart person was the cashier Store#1515 Reg#12 who ever she was today . read more

Super frustrating how bad the customer service is at this store. Came in for standard clear treat bags that you can find in almost every store. Shelf was empty but there were literally fifteen to twenty boxes of supplies that were on the floor waiting to be unloaded. So I asked if they could check to see if one of the boxes might contain the clear treat bags. Response, "if they aren't on the shelf then we are out" with absolutely no attempt to find out or seek assistance from a manager. BTW, the store was empty. I was the only customer there. Seriously disappointed especially since they have a captive market. But maybe that's why they don't care (sigh). Next time I will plan my events further ahead and order online. read more

I was in a jam on Memorial Day my son told his mom and I that he needed a costume for his play on Thursday SHORT NOTICE. I took a chance and called Party City in Simi Valley, a woman by the name of Margie answered the phone and from that point on she made my entire week. I was surprised they were open on a holiday let alone had very helpful customer service. When I arrived and had asked another awesome party city rep Shane where I could find Margie he pointed her out when I said hi I just called she said yes after your call I went back and started looking for what you were asking for, then Shane got involved and everything fell into place, Shane had also inquired if I was active duty I then received 10% off my bill. So let me end with this, I have never taken the time to review a store or a call in to any Company, but today was that exception we will always shop at this Party City. Thank you Margie and Shane Chris read more

Would put zero stars if possible. The employees are unmotivated and inefficient at their jobs. Last year we walked in to get one... Count it... 1/uno/eins/ONE balloon for my kid turning two. Given a quote of half an hour to get it done when the store was nearly empty and no one in line. This year for my kid's third, walked in at doors opening with only one other customer ahead. Given a time frame of twenty minutes to get a few balloons blown up. The lady after gets the same time. Hubby stalks around the store for a while where at most five customers come in the door total so far and he overhears the older lady (manager? Who knows) say to another employee "gosh it is getting very busy we better start telling people it will take an hour." Every time I have ever been there, the checkout takes a lifetime as the employees are so slow. They have no idea what is in their store either. Plus, when I got some candy there for a baby shower once, it was ridiculously hard and stale - all of the bags had expired dates from a month prior. read more

All I have to say is terrible. NEVER go to this party city or (as a matter of fact) any party city. One employee in particular, Ken, who I believe is a manager is very rude and disrespectful. I will never go there again because of the way he treated me (a customer) and the way I saw him treat the other employees. If I were store manager he would be fired before he could open his self righteous mouth. Needless to say I will never be returning to party city. The quality of the products are poor anyhow. If you are throwing a party do yourself a favor and go to etsy or Amazon. Cuter stuff, better quality, larger selection. read more

Very unfriendly lady employee with a stuck up attitude working in the balloon section on August 1, 1:45pm. Seems like she has no training in customer service at all with the way she responds to questions. She didn't seem like she wanted to be there at all. I feel sorry for party city for hiring employees like her. read more

This place is horrible. Only one cashier, and they always lag. Also theirs no one ever around when you need help. It's disappointing..

Staff etiquette is probably one of the worst I've seen in Simi. Called ahead about their balloon service and was given incorrect information. Attitude from staff while correcting their mistake didn't help either. Definitely needs improvement. read more
