Horrible. My wife…read moreplanned a VERY LARGE graduation party for our one and only child. She ordered 2 tents, tables and table cloths, chairs, a bar, tent accent lights, and trash cans. Everything was scheduled to arrive on Thursday midday for the SATURDAY party. Well -- the TENTS showed up at about 7 pm on Thursday. But nothing else. My wife had scheduled about 7 of our closest friends to come help on Friday at 2. Unfortunately nothing was here at that time. The TABLES arrived about 3:30. OVERNIGHT -- the bar and chairs showed up. When we got up Saturday morning -- the day of the party -- we noticed that the lights and trash cans were still missing (a BIG DEAL especially if your trash pickup doesn't coincide with the party, right?) My wife called the owner -- REPEATEDLY. He did not answer, nor did he RETURN ANY PHONE CALLS. He later explained that his VME only goes to his brick and mortar store. Seriously. So the day of the party we are out in the yard SCRUBBING THE HORRIBLY DIRTY AND STICKY CHAIRS -- and going around to neighbors houses to borrow trash cans. The lights I dug out Christmas lights and attached with clothes pins. DURING THE PARTY -- one of our guests brought a chair to me that had obviously been missed at told me that the residue would not come out of her dress. I was mortified -- and will pay for it -- but when I told them about it the owners wife insinuated that I was lying. When we called them Sunday -- after the party -- their VME was full and could accept no messages. You know what that means, right? Nobody books stuff at that time, they're ALL calling with trouble. This guy is a joke. Bottom line. I took off the price of the lights and trash cans, and then on top of that deducted 25% from the bill. He's lucky I gave him that much. Oh --by the way -- I corrected the calculation of the sales tax on the order which, in the original estimate, was $2.76 on an 850 dollar bill. I AM NOT MAKING ANY OF THIS UP. The worst part of this whole experience was the guy NEVER returned phone calls. All of the other things could have been solved, but he just doesn't care.

I used Unforgettable Occasions for my backyard wedding last weekend. I booked with Bill back in…read moreApril and he was very helpful on the phone and his prices are extremely reasonable. However, they really fall behind in the follow through of their service. I had to email and call Bill multiple times over the time from April to the week before the wedding to get an Invoice to pay him. I was given a time frame of 3-6 p.m. on the Thursday before the event to have the tent delivered. They showed up around 8 and were here until midnight setting the tent and tables up. They did not bring any of my linens or chairs, but Bill said they would be back tomorrow to bring the rest of the items, but never showed up. After multiple calls and voicemails, which the message says they will call back within 15 minutes, Bill finally called back on Friday night around 7 and stated the rest of the items would be delivered that night and would probably be there before I got up in the morning. Got up the next morning and nothing had been delivered. Multiple calls made again with no return call. Finally a woman showed up with the table linens and ONE chair. She asked if I like the sample chair, to which I responded, yes. She said bill and the guys were right behind her with the rest. She then set the linens down, changed the color of the linen on the bar and left without saying anything. My wedding party then proceeded to place the linens on the tables and set the tables, still with no chairs for the wedding to start in 6 hours. Multiple more calls to bill's cell and the main number (also forwarded to Bills cell phone) with a full voicemail went unanswered, and a visit to his storage garage was found to be unhelpful as staff couldn't answer any questions. Finally at 1:30, 2 hours before my event Bill calls to let me know they are loading the chairs right now and will be on their way, and he will meet them here. Finally around 2:30, less than 1 hour before the guests are to arrive they appear with the chairs and begin to set them up. Guests were arriving while Bills team was setting the lights and chairs up in the tent. While I am running around getting things ready for the wedding starting in less than 30 minutes and trying to line people up, Bill stops me in the garage to ask if I want to settle the invoice. The invoice I tried almost two months to get, and the invoice that I had mailed him a check for a week and a half earlier. Bill showed up bright and early Sunday morning as we were cleaning up to pick up the bar table, and said they would be back for the rest and left. It is now Monday night at 10:00 p.m. and I have not heard a word from Bill since Sunday morning. I still have a tent, tables and chairs in my yard. The equipment Bill uses is very nice and kept up, the set up staff is very friendly and Bill is helpful during the quote process, but the management of his business truly lives up to the company name and makes the event an "Unforgettable Occasion" because of the stress caused by the lack of communication and the timing of bringing the items to your event.
