I was in need of balloons for cute Insta-worthy NYE photos since we're staying in this year and trying to stay safe so I hopped online and it showed me they were one of few stores with balloons still in stock. I was instantly greeted by the amazing staff as I entered the store. I grabbed balloons, headpieces and sunglasses to help ring in the New Year. My big champagne balloon was a little pricey but cute so I was a little annoyed when I got home and noticed it was slowly deflating. I called the store and spoke with a manager who told me to come back and they would swap it but she seemed a little annoyed once I got there. She went and found the last one and I told her it looked a little flat she added air, told me if this one didn't work I would have to get a refund and walked away. Sadly, after I got home the balloon started deflating but to make the best of it I popped it in the back and let it be. I saw that this location had horrible reviews and still wanted to give it a try , but I doubt I'll be back unless I am in dire need. Happy New Year read more

You know that old saying "don't believe everything you read in the internet"? This is not an instant to adopt that as some words of wisdom. Just like several other Yelpers have remark- this place is a vast wasteland of no customer service. In fact, it must be something on a whiteboard in the employee break room- "Today is a good day to be rude, dismissive, and let the customers wait in the check out line!!! Now practice it like you mean it!!!" I made an online order so that I didn't have to go into a store. I followed the directions in the email and, coincidentally, are posted very legibly on the front of the store. After several times calling to get a busy signal, I parked the car, masked up and walked into the store. There was a long line of customers near the cash registers- it appeared to balloon day- and when I got to the counter, the clerk asked if I was ready to check out. I replied that I had a curbside order. He left the cash register and walked to the end of the counter and yelled- what's the last name? That was just the beginning of my "curbside" falsehood. I said- I have tried to call from the parking lot several times but the number just rings busy. He said- nah, the phone don't ring. Went here for balloons for a friends bday and the shelves were pretty bare and the balloon options were pretty limited as well. The cashier was super friendly and helpful though. Not sure what was going on with inventory when I went but hopefully they fox that soon. read more

After two visits to this store, I feel validated in giving them a two star review. For my first visit, I placed an online order. Several things weren't available, so they made substitutions without my approval. There was a lot of confusion when I asked to keep one of the items and leave two of the others, and I'm still unclear if I was charged the right amount. Either way, service was poor, and I felt like the cashier was just trying to get to the next customer rather than help resolve my order. For my second visit, I came to purchase Halloween paper products. The only available items were in massive quantities, and considering it was still a few weeks out from the holiday, I thought their supply was very disappointing. I ended up wanting to purchase one item for a costume, but when I saw the line was a dozen people long, I gave up and went home. read more

So I see why the ratings for this store are one and 1/2 stars. I go to find a large balloon and they tell me that they are out of helium and I can go to their nearest store in east Cobb to get it blown up. Well I live in west cobb and don't have the time to drive 20 minutes further before I go back to Acworth to decorate with this balloon I needed today. So I go into Publix in the same shopping center to get it blown up and pay $10 for the helium and $1 for the weight. They tell me at Publix that this Party city store tells its customers almost every day there is a national shortage of helium. Apparently I'm not the first one to have this experience! I called the Barrett Parkway store to order several balloon boquets (vinyl, assorted colors) and were told that I had to come into the store or order on-line (on a desktop computer ONLY). Went to the website and spent WAY too much time trying to figure out the on-line order process. Never was able to figure it out. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! I go here at least twice a month! Being an event planner, Party City is my JAM! They are very helpful and if you sign up for their emails, they will send you some pretty amazing coupons! There really is a shortage of places you can go when planning a party. Party City has everything from costumes to tableware. Their prices are good and they typically have a good amount of stock on all items. I've brought my own balloons in, in the past and they will fill them for $.99 per balloon. Their staff is also very friendly. They will let you know if they have a coupon running that you may not have known about! read more

I was last minute shopping for my son's graduation. I was in a panic because I'd realized I never got balloons. I knew I was being sort of needy but the two nice ladies that were working up front at the balloon counter were very patient and helpful. Abbi helped me figure out how i wanted to arrange my bundles which was a huge relief considering i was so last minute. And I believe the other lady's name was Sydney, she was able to get my balloons done by the time I was ready to check out. It was super hectic in the store so I greatly appreciate their kindness and patience with me. I recommended receiving help from these two if anyone needs it! read more

I placed an order 2 weeks in advance for my younger brothers graduation. Two days before his graduation I went to the store to pick up more balloons for a different event and made sure that they had my order for his graduation and it was confirmed. The day of his graduation I went to the store to pick up my order and they proceeded to tell me that someone else named "Jim" picked up my order and that was not the name on the order, not even close. Then they had me pick out the balloons I wanted to remake my order. They didn't have the balloons that I originally paid for. I waited an extra hour for my order to be prepared and while I was waiting the worker began telling me that I was wrong and that they didn't give my order to the wrong person. When I got home I realized that they shorted me 10 balloons. Absolutely terrible customer service, and disrespectful workers. I will be returning and getting a refund for my balloons because they shorted me. I will never return to this location for any reason after I get my refund. read more

Very negative experience. I placed an order online for pick up. I was delighted when I received an email very quickly saying that it was ready. Then I received an email almost immediately after that saying that my order was canceled, but it did not give a reason why. Thinking it was a mistake, I decided to give the store a call. I tried over several hours to call and it seems that the phone was left off the hook because it would ring as busy every single time. And eventually I had to call the 1-800 customer service number and go through two different representatives to get my order placed for shipping. Luckily they gave me free shipping because of the trouble. Still very annoyed! read more

I visited this location three times within 48 hours. Story: Halloween time 2011 and I ordered a costume online. I receive said costume and realize I ordered size skank... I need a bigger/longer size. I go to a different Party City location and they don't have a larger size, so I zoom (or sit in standstill Friday rush hour traffic) to this location. They have a larger size!! The line for the fitting room was extremely long, so I asked about their return policy, purchased my costume and got out of there. I'm super pumped that I have my costume and get home and try it on. REALLY?!! The packaging says bigger size, but the costume in the package is still skank size!! Wrong size costume in correct size packaging. So, I go back the next day and easily switch out sizes. The line is still too long to try it on, so I leave again and go back home to try on my costume. Only slightly better. I end up finding a better deal somewhere else with a costume that at least covers my ass, so I took back the costume. Easy return with not-so-happy staff. Whatever, they were slammed, so I don't blame them. Crazy drivers in the parking lot, so beware. read more

Ordered balloons online a week in advance . A rep called, left a message saying she cancelled my order because they did not have one of the items in stock despite the website saying otherwise. When I called back I asked if there was something comparable to replace it with. She said she already cancelled my order and to go online and look. This Party City provided horrible customer service yesterday, March 1, 2018. I placed an online order at noon and I was going to pick up the pur chase in the store. The email that I received stated that the order would be available in 15 minutes. I went to the store at 5 in the evening to pick up my order and it wasn't ready and to top it off they no longer had the merchandise that I ordered. I was attempting to buy my children Dr. Seuss attire for Dr. Seuss day at school, but they weren't able to participate due to the incompetence of the Party City employees. The manager, Jonathan, then wanted to offer me a discount on a $6.00 hat. How's that beneficial? And he placed the blame on an employee who was not in the store at the time. Went in a week or so ago to find a bald cap for Halloween. 3 employees in back by costumes. I looked around and didn't see one so I made the fatal mistake of asking one of them. She wandered around aimlessly and finally said "we have hats here". Um, yea, thanks. Not quite right. She looked at one of the others, who was eating his dinner in the middle of the store. He said, "I know I saw a bunch of them" and just stared at me and took another bite of his taco. Didn't even bother to point vaguely. Finally I just said y'all are useless and started to walk out. I asked one more girl, who was actually working. She said "Sure! Right this way ". Took me right to them. Terrible employees, the really don't care, terrible management, apparently. I go to this Party city when I need party supplies. I went in to get balloons for my daughters graduation 2018. The sales help was not very friendly. The store closes at 8:30pm. I got in the store at 8:05 pm. Maybe the "do not care attitude" came about because they were closing soon. I picked out 3 balloons. I went to the register and gave the young lady the 3 different balloons I wanted G95, G88, and G12. She said she could not find any of them at first. She asked me to describe them. I told her I could walk back and take a picture of it. She said that would help. I took the pictures and showed them to her. She could only find one and it was not labeled correctly. The other sales person told her that the graduations balloons were not organized. I selected a different style balloon. So instead of 3 balloons I selected 2. I felt as though I did something wrong because the sales person who was at the register was not friendly at all. I will pick up my balloons on Friday, I hope my experience is better.
