I wish I could give this place a big fat ZERO. I came here for items I needed for a welcome back party. When I walked in, I saw two employees by the Halloween costumes and one employee at the register. I made a lap and couldn't find what I needed, but I did find some other things I wanted to buy. When I went looking for an employee, I found no one. I went around the whole store twice, and again no one. There was just still the one girl at the register. There were 4 people counting me, inside the store. The one employee at the register was helping a girl. I left my cart and left. What A joke this place is. read more

The worst place ever !! When there to get a costume for my daughter they had only one employee a day before Halloween do not go there .

I am grateful to our resident yelper in Hialeah, George M. for helping me navigate to this location (after my GPS took me somewhere else). While obtaining directions, I asked him "Is this a good Party City" and he responded "Aren't they all the same?" No, my friend they are not! This Party City ROCKS. First it is very large and spacious. The aisles are organized and well stocked. The staff actually ask you if you need help and provide it. This Party City did have your normal Party City stuff like balloons, costumes, tableware, etc., but they also had a huge aisle filled with greeting cards. The selection was much wider and easier to navigate than other Party City locations. Plus, filtering through all the festive notions, I worked up an appetite and was able to grab a snack at Long John Silvers nearby -- a place I thought only existed in Homestead! I would definitely risk getting lost in Hialeah again to come back to this store. read more

Yes, 3 stars for Hialeah - agua, fango y factoria (fellow Hialeah/Miami Lakers, you know what I'm talking about!)! But believe it or not, once you navigate the dangerous stretch of "la 49" (49th street), and you see your life flash before your eyes a few times, aaaand you eventually find a parking spot amidst a not-so-great-at-driving lot full of Cubans and elderly, you can finally breathe a sigh of relief. This Party City really does have it all! I've been to several others and none compare. All the aisles are organized and offer an array of party essentials. From baby showers, to bridal showers; from 1st birthdays to 50th birthdays - they cover it all! "Well, duh," you may say, "it's Party City - what else would they offer?" But let me tell you, I've been to other locations that have a very limited selection and are a hot mess! The main reason I don't give it 4 stars is because of the parking situation (and I'm not keen on just giving out great ratings unless it's stellar). It's in an incredibly cluttered shopping center, and as I've insinuated up top, drive defensively! Lines can get long, but they're pretty speedy at checkout so that's not a problem. Even during Halloween when lines are redonkulus! Customer service is good. Prices are good. Selection is good. So all in all, it's all good! Happy shopping! read more

If "0" star was an option that would be my selection. I came here on Sunday morning at 10:10 am, 10 minutes after it opened and to my surprise the place was packed. the line for the cash register and for the balloon pick up were both long and slow. I went to buy a balloon for a birthday party, so i had to first make the line to pay, then the line for the balloon pick up. three people were working on the balloons so i figured i was going to be out in a jiffy. WRONG!!!!! First the helium tank was running low so one of the employees had to go to the back and refill it. Meanwhile the 2 other employees are filling the balloons at a speed of 0mph. Once the tank was filled i figured things would speed up. WRONG!!!! 1 of the employee started working on orders for pick up that day. Now don't get me wrong, i'm not a manager or supervisor, but don't you think if there is a line 50 miles long you can hold of on those orders and take care of the angry Hialeans standing in front of you. I got so pissed because now it's 11:00 a.m. and all i wanted was my 1 balloon to be filled. I went back to the cashier and told her i wanted a refund because i couldn't wait anymore. She didn't even have the courtesy to fill it up for me knowing i was an unhappy customer. She just returned my money and was not bothered by the fact that i was pissed. I rather buy a helium tank and blow the balloons myself than go back to this party city. Poorly managed Thoughtless employees read more

Location is horrible! There is never parking thanks to the Navarro next door which only attracts the elderly Hialeah population who cannot drive. read more

Terrible customer service!! Waited for 15 minutes in line while only having one person in front. It's one kid running the store. Running out of helium for an order of three balloons for tomorrow. Out of large Spider-Man ballon. Wasted my time. read more

First of all.... let me start by saying that I never complain or write bad about any company.. as a matter of fact I like party city... however this location forgot that they are a franchise.... that they are human and forgot all about customer service. Since the moment we came in the service was terrible then we go to the back where the costumes were and it was a mess they had ladders out scissors on boxes out... and broken crates.. that's where the problem started. My friend fell because of a crate and cut her ankle when we brought it up to security he says "I know but you also have to be careful" what?!? How is it her fault you have a broken crate on the floor.. then the manager anthony who did not want to give his last name first mocks her injury then fills out the forms and ask her to just sign without letting her read.. He was rushing us and acting rude and it wasn't until we ask for a copy of the paperwork that he got serious about the problem and assured us he will take care of it. Then we stepped out side and it seemed like he was mocking the whole situation with another employee. . This is outrages. read more

now a days it is tuff to call somewhere for service... most people seem to be having a hard day and really do not care about your needs... before venturing out and perhaps for no reason at all, my daughter in search of her Halloween costume saw on-line the perfect one she wants noticed it was available at the store... so she looked up this location and we called. a very nice, polite and helpful young girl named Alexandria took care of our call. i explained we did not want to drive over unless the costume was available. she asked us for the number of the costume and placed us on hold... she promptly came back on the line and advised there was just 1 more available at the store and she would gladly place it on hold for us until we arrived. on our way we went. upon our arrival, we went straight to the area of the costumes and another very nice young man (did not get his name) asked if we needed help and we advised ref the one on hold. he immediately got it for us, opened up the restroom so that our daughter could try it on.... unfortunately it did not fit her... this young man even went one step further, looking up options for our daughter online on their computer in the back.. he even asked us to go back there to show us online availability. both these young people went one step beyond their duties to assist us. it was a very nice experience and i am sure with these types of workers, this store will continue to succeed. and we shall continue on our quest for the MAD HATTER COSTUME! read more

Terrible customer service. I'm not sure if the lady was the manager but she seemed to be in charge of making decisions. She over inflated an expensive ballon that exploded just stepping out of the store. I asked them to return the money but this employee in a very rude and unprofessional manner denied me the refund, and gave me an store credit that I do not need. I told her I that I would not go there again, and she did not care at all. I will spread this to all my friends in Facebook, ect. so that people avoid this store. Time to find other party places to shop. Gave 2 stars only to make sure this message gets posted. read more

Customer service is horrible! Waited in line twice as long as time spent shopping. One cashier on a sunday with at least 5 other employees laughing and walking around the store is unacceptable. I should've gone to a dollar store to get supplies but I thought I'd receive better service from party city; how I was wrong. read more
