Complete lack of care when it comes to the balloons. I ordered a deluxe size character birthday balloon pack, along with a #4 for my son's birthday (online) and what I got was not what was pictured. It's supposed to come with 9 balloons, I only received 8. The happy birthday balloon was supposed to be a large star, it's the same size as the round ones. It didn't come with the round ones with the red in it, so they added 2 of the police dog ones, which really isn't even my son's favorite character (I guess they tried to make up for that). The blue star was completely deflated. All of that I would've been fine with, except they forgot to add in the "4" which, as a mom, was a milestone one, plus my son has been so excited about turning 4. Considering you pick them up all wrapped in a bag, you can't exactly check, and you typically pick them up same day you need them (or they will deflate) so it's not like you have time to go back and fix the problems, so I don't even have time to meaningfully get the "4" without it looking like an after thought. Be very careful here l, they like to bamboozle you with their signs . Posted in pictures. They put sign way at the bottom so you cannot see the small print that it's "selected skus" . But they mix all different priced items on the same rack with the sign . After going to a few Dollar Trees and could find all the items I need, I stopped by here and know I will probably pay more. Actually, so glad I did stop by and for what I needed, it did not cost more than Dollar Trees and it had the colors that I wanted. Score! On top of that, I bought a few 14" non-helium letters and the cashier actually asked if I wanted balloons sticks and they would show me how to put it together. Wow! Sticks, instructions and advise all free of charge. So glad I stopped by. It's a huge store and had lots of items. I brought my own balloons to be inflated, fully aware of the charge for each balloon. I carefully selected and curated the ones I wanted filled and gave them all to the woman working the balloon station. She charged me for each balloon correctly. I never received a call, text or any information on when I could pick the balloons up. I gave them all day then decided to go see if they're ready. They were and I took them home, to reveal two missing latex balloons. Party city is one of those places that you could wander aisle to aisle looking for the right theme for your party. Sure you could go online and purchase your party supplies at a discounted rate, but then you would miss out on all the fun of trying on that princess crown or that harry potter costume. We came here looking for supplies for an end of the year party for our girl scout troop. We decided on a Disney princess theme, complete with a giant Elsa and Ariel balloon. We took all of our items up to the register and we waited patiently for our turn. With only three people working the whole store and one of those people behind the register, it took a good 20 minutes or so. Employees were not apologetic or really friendly at all. We then had to wait for someone to come blow up our balloons. I don't mind waiting, but it was a bummer when the sales associate didn't securely attach Ariel and we lost the top half of her to the wind. Bummer! In the end Party City can be expensive if you are not sure on what you are shopping for. Also allow ample time for check out, since according to the other reviews it does look like this Party City can be slow. I saw a Party City sign being placed on the empty store next door, so I think they are planning a move sometime. read more

I am honestly surprised to review this Party City so highly considering my expectations were absolutely trashed after having a horrible experience at the Party City in Dublin, CA. I ordered for in-store pick up about $60 worth of items for a birthday party. This was surprisingly my cheapest expense of all party items so I was expecting forgotten/wrong items. After I submitted my order on Friday early afternoon, I got a call from the store saying they didn't have one of my 17 items in stock but that they had an alternative color for it. The inventory list when ordering online is a bit outdated but it's nice they offered similar alternatives. My order was ready to pick up in less than an hour and they got every single one of my items! Ten minutes after getting them to the party, which was outdoors in a covered area at 10 am, every balloon started popping. Soon we had no balloons at all, which was unfortunate considering we were using them as "markers" for the location of the Party in the park. When I ordered, I specifically asked the employee if the balloons would be okay at an outdoor party for about 3 hours. She replied, "You should be okay." I should've known... I've shopped here a few times for different occasions. It's usually for a holiday or football party. They always seem to have what I need. The location is a bit of a nuisance as it's located in the same parking area as Walmart. There is always plenty of parking but always hectic. The store itself is very clean and organized. The rows are organized by themes and/or colors. When I have stopped in, there are one maybe two employees working. It's good for checking out but when you need help, not so much. I would give 0 stars. On 3/24 I came here to get the large 6 Mylar and some latex balloons blown up that my daughter had previously purchased on 3/18. When I arrived I was greeted by the three employees working in the balloon station in the center of the store. I informed one female employee I need my balloons blown up and he let me to the checkout line to make "an order" where there was one customer ahead of me checking out at the register. The girl working the register (dark short straight hair wearing a face mask) told the customer ahead to go walk over to the balloon station as a "walk up" and wait to get her balloons blown up. She also said it over her headset to her coworkers that she was sending over a "walk up" When it was my turn I was told it would be an hour to get my balloons because there was a 100 latex order ahead of me. I also had 2 other Mylar balloons purchased online that I asked to be blown up as well and she told me $10 each as they had not been purchased there! $10!!!! Ridiculous so I said forget it! I opted to just get the one large 6 Mylar and she told me it would still be a 40 minute wait. I asked why I would not be accommodated as a "walk up" with my one balloon just like the lady before me and she told me she couldn't do that. I asked for a refund. And won't be back! I then drive to Smiths grocery store who had the same 6 balloon for $3 cheaper and blew it up right away when I purchased it! My advice to party city employees to give honest and accurate information to customers who are purchasing balloons. Tell them when they buy them if they don't intend to blow them up that day to make an order ahead of time and leave the balloons to be picked up at the date needed instead of yelling customers "oh yeah just bring it in when you need them and we'll blow them up for you then!" read more

I used to loooooove party city. I'm really into themed parties so you could see why party city would be my go-to store. (Other than online shopping, of course!) I went to the Arroyo crossing location first since it's close to my house. I went to order balloons for my son's birthday. As I was picking balloons, the worker stopped me and said, "You don't need those blown up, do you?" And I said, "Not today, a month from now." (I like to plan ahead!) anyway, she said all stores have been out of helium so they aren't taking any balloon orders. She said NASA and Hospitals are first on the list to get helium so party City won't have any. I felt like that was an unnecessary comment, but whatever. Then she said maybe the Henderson store has some. So I asked if she could call and check. Then she said she doesn't have their number. That's weird? They don't have the number to their own stores? Anyway, she obviously didn't want to help me. I ended up going to the Henderson store on Mark St. I purchased plants vs. zombies themed balloons online and had them sent to my house. I bought 10. I dropped them off to party city to pick up a month later on my son's bday. When the day came and my husband went to pick the balloons up, they didn't have my order. They lost the special balloons I ordered online. The manager basically said too bad, so sad. They don't have them anymore and they wouldn't refund me. We asked if she could call the worker that worked on the day I dropped my balloons off to see where she placed them because they were missing. But the manager said no, if I called her, I'll have to pay her. So basically they STOLE my balloons. Party city, you hire the worst employees at all locations. Your screening process needs some work. Your management team needs extensive training. You lost my business forever. I was a very loyal customer for years. I'm a fan of party city! They have a really good selection when it comes to decorations, balloons, and things you never knew you needed. You can end up spending a lot more money than anticipated if you're not careful, (It's kind of like a Target thing in that regard). If you have a budget, I would recommend writing out a list and sticking to it or else you could easily go overboard. It's much more expensive than a place such as Walmart, but for good reason; you won't find things in Walmart that you can find here. A side note: They have gender-reveal streamers and balloons if you're hosting a gender-reveal party! There is no warranty on the gender confetti balloon, so be careful taking it to the car and handling it (no pressure). Overall, the customers are helpful and friendly at this location. read more

Don't waste your money with the sealant to make the latex balloons last longer. When I purchased balloons in the past, it was recommended to me to get the sealant because they will last much longer. I said okay and they did last a while. This last set lasted 36 hours, if that. I took them back and the manager was less than helpful. It would have been nice if she just stopped talking, because if you are not going to give some kind of guarantee to your product, then anything you have to say is useless and means nothing. read more

At pickup, they had no idea what we were talking about AND they didn't have the coordinating main balloon available. IMO, the balloons are a big part of the decor and help set that fun party tone. Don't even waste your gas going here! I've been here several times in the last month to order Avenger balloons for my sons Birthday at the end of June and they are always out of stock. Every time I come here they are turning people away because they never have any of the theme balloons we are looking for! They keep telling me they get shipments on Tuesday and Thursday and when you go, they still haven't gotten any in. The cashiers don't care and don't seem to know anything. I have been coming here for as long as I can remember. It's the usual long lines and horrible customer service, except for the few great employees who never seen to stick around long. I spend literally thousands of dollars a year, just at this location. Between birthday party's and other holidays. Anyway, my husband and I threw a gender reveal party for ourselves and invited everyone close to our family. We of course went to Party City, gave them the envelope with the baby's gender in it and they, along with the ultrasound tech are the only people who knew our unborn child's gender. That is, until I picked up the balloon the morning of our party and the outside was covered in BLUE confetti. I was heartbroken and angry, to say the least. PARTY CITY RUINED MY SPECIAL DAY and I'm DONE enduring such a horribly run establishment. I am happy to drive an extra 20 mins to the better locations I've found.
