They had a lot of the merchandise I was looking for. I was looking for specific items--gold decorations for a Sweet 16 party (and they had a ton of that kind of stuff!). Also, decorations for an Oscar's Party, and they also had a bunch of that. I had looked all over Frederick at stores for these items, and I ended up finding them at Party City! read more

The staff was extremely knowledgeable! I went on a Friday morning. My Balloons were done in 10 minutes. They explained all the different options I had, how to order online if needed, the different packages, etc. Never would I have thought to get such great customer service for just Balloons. This is the 2nd time I have gone and gotten great customer service. read more

I had not been into the store for quite some time and was pleasantly surprised when I walked it. the layout has changed and it much more open, light and customer friendly. I was greeted upon walking in, guided to what I was looking for and the employee who I interacted with was very helpful! Worst customer service- EVER today. Ordered a bunch of balloons &decorations and to be picked up curbside. Ok I got 3 and texts that it was ready. Go to curbside , sign in- ok, I was 2, than 5, then 10. so I call. ALL CUSTOMER SERVICE is busy. Ok I get the F up and go in- they have no idea where my stuff is. I point it out to the guy like"uhh I think it's right there." I had to add 2 more things (flamingo and shark pool noodles) cute. Get rung up and theCURT is like so bored to death she acted like she could keel over right there. Any way- the didnt offer to help me go to my car. Bags, balloons and pool noodles. You'd think that they didn't fulfill curbside at least they'd help me out the door. Homemade decorations and Oriental Trading from now on. Or just say F you like the pretty much did to me. read more

Just went to grab some balloons and there where a bunch of employees in the helium station gossiping about snap chat while you have customers waiting in line by the cash register with NOBODY at any of the registers! This is ridiculous!! There was ONE adult employee at the store who was ALSO participating in teen gossip! Look, I'm not one to write reviews but this was ridiculous !!! Only one person blowing up ballon's while the others where laughing and giggling and swearing up a storm. They need better management! I was not the only one upset and this store. I bought a helium tank to blow up balloons for a surprise bday party for a friend, got to the house and it didn't work at all. Even watched a YouTube video to see if we were doing something wrong. Tried to return it with receipt and they wouldn't refund me. Also the manager was very rude when I asked her name. I had bags of balloons unopened that I returned that were never used so obviously the helium tank was not used either. Went for helium big balloons. The store was so hot temperature wise. The staff was so slow! my dinosaur balloon was deflated by morning! Very disappointed with customer service and product. Since I was from out of town I wouldn't go back. Hopefully in the future there will be another option for party supplies! read more

So first I have to say - if you are looking for it the most likely have it But my negative review is because I went around the store made my selection, went to check out and was informed no personal checks were allowed No where did I see a notice stating they took no personal checks. I'm surprised by all the bad reviews! Maybe my expectations weren't too high but I walked in here on a Sunday afternoon asking for help with a balloon order and these guys were fantastic. Rung me up and got the order together super quickly and it looked great. They even helped me stuff everything into a couple of big balloon bags. Awful service- I tried to get balloons for my aunts birthday. I called ahead and placed my order, which took over 20 minutes to complete. Once I arrived the employees didn't document I had placed an order. They were extremely rude with their service, and it took over 15 minutes for someone to help me when I got to the store. The helium tank was empty which they failed to let me know over the phone, and they were were reluctant to help me. AWFUL EXPERIENCE DO NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

The worst party store out there. Placed several balloon orders and never ever have they been blown up and ready at the pickup time. One time they even lost the order all together and had to go and pull all of the balloons that were already prepaid for while I waited impatiently because we were late for my child's birthday. If it's once, ok fine. But every single time, without fail, they never have the balloons done as promised and paid for. I called to speak with manager who said we could have a 10% discount off of the total purchase. I don't need $3.50 back. I need you to provide the service I paid for in a timely fashion as promised. Otherwise, what am I paying for? Suggestion: find a better process for how you fill balloon orders because the current one clearly isn't working. Only thing they are consistent with is consistently failing to do their job. Would never go to this party store if there was another around. Avoid if possible. read more

TERRIBLE!! We walked in and the store was a WRECK! My husband I needed to purchase items for our daughters birthday party and there was Nothing out for the party theme. Shelves empty!!! I asked staff if possibly the products were in the back and it was shrugged off and told what's out is what they have. Seriously?!?! Your Party City. The only job you have is to ensure you have party items stocked!!! So we decided ok, let's just check balloons out then... Yep, that was a fail! I remarked to the staff that they literally had nothing available, the displays looked old and tattered, and that this was unacceptable. She replied that they had new ownership. As a customer, we don't care what's going on, it's not our concern. It should be their concern of how unacceptable and ill prepared their store is. I will be contacting party city corporate and giving them an earfull. I called Tuesday May 14 and asked the lady on the phone how much it would be to blowup 29 balloons that was not theirs. She specifically told me it was $1.19 per balloon at any size. I asked again to make sure I heard her correctly. She said the same thing again. I did the math and it should have cost me about $40-$50 after tax. Today, Friday May 18, I go in to have them blown up. I knew it would be extra because I wanted my confetti balloons to be blown up with the hi-float. The lady first tells me that she can't do that because they aren't party city brand balloons. Then proceeded to tell me that it would cost about $6 per balloon for the 18" balloons and about $8 per balloon for the 36". Making my total come just short of $200. $40-$50 is a big difference from $200. I was given the wrong information and couldn't get my balloons blown up for the baby shower. I walked away completely angry. No balloons. Spent $100 on my own helium tank plus $20 on a bottle of hi-float. I've never been so disappointed with a company till today. I will not be using them ever again. read more
