This last experience I had was absolutely HORRIBLE and it definitely made me rethink coming to this location and just make the 30 minute drive to the one on Joe Battle. So I called this location and asked them, if I purchased the trunk or treat set from the Joe Battle location (since they were sold out) could I bring it in 3 days later to this location to be filled up. They said yes and that it was be free since it came with the set. So I bought the set and 2 days later went over to get them blown up. When i arrived I game them the box and pulled out the balloons. They asked for a receipt (I had asked if I would need a receipt on the phone and they said no due to them knowing it's their set as they are the ones who made the kit) and I explained that 1) they told me I didn't need it 2) I don't have one and never got one due to it being misprinted at the other location. The girl said it was ok and she was about to blow up my balloons until the manager grabbed the balloons and said the balloons weren't from PC and I told them yes they were and he began arguing with me until I told him they were from the Trunk or Treat kit THAT THEIR COMPANY MADE!!!!!!! They did end up blowing up the balloons but with how rude the manager was and wanted to charge me $36 to blow them up when it was included in the price of the kit definitely rubbed me the wrong way. read more

This store currently has a three-star rating and I disagree with it. The service at this location has always been very good. I usually come in to get balloons and other accessories I may need for a special occasion. Today I got a balloon bouquet for a graduation party, a cute graduation photo frame, a gift bag and even graduation tissue paper for less than $20. I thought that was a pretty good price for all of it. The bouquet also included a little gift bag and I included some candy in it. They have all kinds of candy that's 10 for $1. There's party favors for just about any special occasion you can think of. They also have a lot of Halloween costumes when that time rolls around. The other day I came in to have some balloons blown up for my son's first communion family get together. Let's say you see some mylar balloons you like but don't need them inflated that day. If you buy them and keep the receipt, you can show them that receipt and they won't charge you the dollar and change to inflate them on the day you need them. It's $1 and change per balloon you inflate. I think that's pretty neat that they don't charge again if you have the receipt. They have SO many balloons, both mylar and regular ones. I've really come to love Party City. Some of the stuff is overpriced but a lot of it isn't. Also, if you wait in the store for the balloons they inflate them quickly. I know I'll be back for the next special occasion. I'm not sure what it is yet. read more

I'll completely agree with Lisa's review on the service. The service here is awesome. I came and got some Halloween stuff and the lady behind the counter rang up some coupons for me to get me a lower $ and also brought me a big plastic centipede she thought I'd be interested in, and I was, so I totally bought it. What the other issues is, this is a kinda a small Party City and it's a bit disheveled. Sometimes its shelves look really empty also. But then, maybe that's every Party City? Despite this, I still came and shopped here more than once. read more

I walked in on a cloudy Sunday morning looking for an item I didn't need at this place I shouldn't be in wondering to myself how low has my life changed that I'm inside the Party City in Sunland Park. After browsing for an hour I decided on some Skittles thinking they would go well with the half empty bottle of Jack on my dresser. As I approached the cashier, withdrawn into my lonely mind, my eyes met hers. It was her. She was there. Not sure who her was but knowing that people spend their entire life looking just for her. She quickly and politely charged me and wished me a good day. A good day. A notion foreign to me. I asked her name and with a smile she said Sofia. Sofia. I started to walk out thinking what i could say but words failed me. Sofia. As I walked out I noticed it wasn't cloudy anymore and for the first time felt like I was in the place I should be. The staff at this location is rude. Zero customer service skills. My mom and I went in looking for supplies for my niece's birthday party and the staff was chatting when we walked in and they never acknowledged us. When I had a question for the employee at the store he looked at us and kept chatting with the other girl. They made us feel like we were inconveniencing them by asking them a question. No wonder they have no customers. read more

The employees at this party city are incredibly rude. We bought a package of balloons from another party city location and wanted to get the inflated at this one because we bought the balloons from them a couple weeks ago. Not to mention they told my husband that they could not return a product that we bought from them with the receipt in hand to get one from them and they denied the return. the manager Tony was exceptionally rude and condescending. I will be making a formal complaint with the corporate store. read more

Rude rude rude. The employees and manager at the store today looked like they hated life and it referentes in their work and customer service. The balloons were mixed up when I originally picked mine out. I wanted a pearl white but the flat white was in the bin. After she blew up the balloons I asked about it, why they weren't pearl. She said they got mixed up, admitting they were in the wrong bin. When I told her I wanted pearl she told me I was going to have to pay for more balloons because they "can't return the helium". I told her it wasn't my fault the balloons were mixed up. She then told me it wasn't up to her to babysit the customers. Clearly this girl needs a new job because she seems to hate working at Party City. The manager was just as rude and encouraged the rude behavior.
