Buffalo is not really a Party City especially not compared to Austin Texas for example where I was recently - but if you're going to party in Buffalo then you might need a party shop. And this is as good as any. It's not dirt cheap but they do have a lot of cool stuff and they're here all the time, year round, located inside the insanely busy outdoor strip shopping mall on the Boulevard. As I said - It's an outdoor strip mall and getting in and out of here is a total nightmare but if you do make it to this store it's a pretty good one as far as party stores go.

BUT .. the best part is that tucked back on the left of the store are aluminum full and super sturdy full size chafing pans for .... .99 cents !! I kid you not !! Then sterno for .79cents !! What ????? I pay $2.50 at walmart and have to stack TWo pans to prevent them from collapsing!! Sterno is $3.99 !! Sad for you .. I bought them out thinking they were on sale !! BUT the knowledgeable staff told me that's standard pricing !! Ok so long story (well) longer .. great staff - great convent location- amazing selection - Super PRICES !!- and locally owned !! My husband and I booked all of our wedding reception and ceremony decor through her. At the time, we indicated that we would have an outdoor, courtyard wedding and were renting a rose gold glitter runner, which she suggested. The rental fee was not cheap to utilize this runner, but we went ahead with it because it was gorgeous and our theme was grey and white and rose gold. The day of the wedding, she came to set up and refused to put down the runner because it was drizzling. She then tried to get us to give her a deposit of $1,500 in case of damage for a disposable runner. I was shocked. She then would not set up the outside decor for the altar and my husband, the groom to be at the time, had to set it up. She kept indicating she had another wedding to do and didn't want to stay to finish HER job that she was paid in full for. At the end of the day, we had a beautiful wedding and despite her attitude and unhelpful nature, we still had a gorgeous courtyard wedding and wonderful reception. She did refund my money for the runner immediately and that was that. I think she lacks professionalism and doesn't really have the personality to be in the wedding business. Maybe she just doesn't like brides of color or she didn't like us, but the last time I checked, money is green. I would not use her if I was you.

However...for our wedding, we asked Mia to contact our venue so she could get an idea of the space (size) and work out the set-up and take-down times with them. Our venue called us several times asking if we had gotten a new person because Mia hadn't called them. About a week before the event we informed her, at the venue's request, what time the set-up and take-down needed to be completed. She was visibly upset and then charged us extra money to perform the take-down, because "it was an hour earlier" than she had wanted to take it down. We paid the upcharge but later wondered: "Why is there a difference in price for taking stuff down an hour earlier?" If she had called the venue much earlier (as we requested) she would have known the proper times and she would not have 'had' to charge us extra. We felt it was an unnecessary charge. While we were 'just' satisfied with everything else, nothing was over-the-top beautiful or breathtaking. I could have gotten a lot of the fabric she had from craft stores and we would have saved a ton of money. Recently I drove by The Wedding Agent, and it was empty. It appears to be permanently closed or possibly moved to another location.

Prices are very fair for everything included, especially since you're allowed to stay all day and you have re-entry on the daily pass. They do sell extremely limited food options, but with the re-entry you could easily go for food and come back. No outside food is allowed except water and baby formula. Fair. The amenities inside are perfect for toddler to elementary aged kids. When I asked my daughters if they liked it they said "Five stars! They even had a volcano slide! How cool is that?" It is really cool, to be honest. They also had a zip line, a ball pit, a rope bridge and imagination play. AND you can do all of this dressed like a princess. Every time I turned around my daughter was dressed in a different costume. We spent three hours here, no problem. They also advertised birthday parties, and a summer camp options. Everything was thoughtfully planned, from sanitizer stations and step stools in the bathrooms, to locker/cubbies for storing shoes and other belongings. Heads up! Socks are required for everyone- even parents. One minor issue was limited seating for adults who weren't playing, but thankfully that wasn't an issue late on a Tuesday evening. We had a blast here, and for $30 it was an easy outing for the wallet.
