No issues, found what we were looking for. Sparkler candles for cup cakes. Service was great and they helped with what we were looking for. Value is great like $3 bucks for 12 pak. read more

This location has way more masks and they are on full display for you see. However, you can't try them on, which is understandable. read more

Let me say the store has a lot of things except for customer service. I did receive a greeting. After wandering the aisles, I finally went to the counter where 5 associates were gathered talking about the beach and a few other topics. Unable to find anything, I decided to leave. I did hear have a nice night. read more

3 year old won't even go in the store because they had incredibly scary animitronics right when you walked in. Associates response was that it's Party City and its always that way which lacks any sort of understanding for traumatizing a child. I understand it's Halloween but small children go into the store for costumes and party items. read more

I bought balloons from amazon and went to have them filled for my baby shower. One of them was a cute squirrel shaped balloon, and they popped it while filling it. The only other forest animal they had was a bear, but since it was bigger than the squirrel, the manager wouldn't replace the squirrel with the bear balloon. I had to settle for a balloon that didn't really match the theme. You think the manager could've taken a little pity on an 8 months pregnant woman and given me the 8 dollar bear balloon for free. Oh well. Just would have appreciated a little more kindness since it was their mistake. I suppose I can't expect too much from a manager at a place called "Party City". read more

I bought a pack of Mylar Minnie Mouse balloons. I asked the girl helping me if I could order 5 latex balloons also. She asked me what colors I wanted and I told her hot pink, black and white. She picked them out right in front of me. So I go pick them up yesterday and the cashier gave them to me there were only 4 latex balloons and they were not the color I asked for. 1 was purple, 2 light pink and 1 white. I told the girl that those weren't the colors I ordered. Yes she said she could redo them for me put I didn't have time. I didn't get an apology or anything. I called when I got home and I talked to the manager. He was no help either. He said he could refund the money but it's not even worth stepping back into that store. I will never go back to party city. They have the worst customer service. read more

This has been a go to place for party decorations and invitations on occasion for me. But it tends to be a bit overwhelming when you have an idea of what you are looking for and then you enter this place. Aisles are sorted by seasonal items, birthday age appropriate design and themes, but if you are looking for something you found online, they won't have it in the store. Or at least that was my experience with the oh so cute vintage dude style birthday themed decorations. Not in the store just some unisex 20-100 aged decor. *sigh* Then if you have to go down an aisle and if one of the employees is stocking the merchandise with one of those big ladders you're out of luck going down that aisle and they won't move to let you by to get what you need. The one I encountered just ignored me and I had to do a limbo act to reach some purple forks around his big ladder. *sigh* Really I want to like this store so much more than 3* because they have a large balloon selection and will have them ready for you, although they are so expensive. Also never fails they always have just one person at the check out. read more

Came here for what? Duhh party supplies. I got all the fixings for a perfect birthday bash for my big girls big 3! Everything from the napkins to the big ole bouquet of balloons. They didn't stay aired up long though.. The staff was nice, helpful when I asked where I could find a plastic cake stand and the store was clean. Party City, 4 stars. read more

Horrible customer service - ordered trays and bowls for grandson's 2nd birthday. Box arrives trashed and everything is broken. We race down to the store to replace the items, first they have nothing in stock and secondly they refuse to take the return. It's a franchise and Corp won't let them accept returns. What a crock. Buyer Beware. read more

Very disappointed! Ordered balloons for a birthday party & forgot to pick them up. Came here the next day to try & get them & were told they had already been deflated & "put away". When we asked for a refund the employee & manager said, no refunds, that's why we give you a copy of the receipt. They simply ask for your phone number in case "they" have any problems NOT to call you if you've not picked them up. The manager never apologized for the lack of information provided at the time of purchase such as, letting customers know there will be no refunds or store credit for missed orders. Btw, "NO REFUNDS ON BALLOON ORDERS" is nowhere to be found on this receipt. When we suggested they should educate their customers of the "no refund policy" at the time of purchase, he simply said, "well, this is why we give you a copy of your receipt". Rude, not interested in keeping customers. Not spending anymore money at this unprofessional store. read more

1. dont try on wigs. (rude rude staff...but i forgive) 2. remember, no returns on halloween stuff after the 25th! :) conveniently has all the halloween stuff your adventurous little heart could possibly desire. :) I had a coupon from the mail for $10 off purchase of $25: yay! read more

This party city is newer than that other location and kept pretty clean. I have been here a few times to pick up stuff for parties or the Halloween needs for the kiddos. Staff is always helpful and friendly even when I am just standing there looking confused trying to figure out what to get, they make suggestions or point me in the right direction. The selection is good and they have a wide variety to appeal to any party you are throwing. I prefer this location to the other one in town for a couple reasons; closer to my house, parking lot isn't as busy, and it's much easier to get in and out of quickly. I'll be back for my next party need. read more

I walked into this party city and was asked to keep my backpack up in the front with the worker. She asked me if I didn't mind leaving my backpack up in the front with her because it's their "new policy", and I didn't feel comfortable with that. I have never been asked to leave my backpack with an employer before and it didn't feel right. I do understand that there is a lot of theft going on right now but it doesn't make sense for my personal belongings like my keys and wallet have to be with this lady. Because I did not want to leave my personal belongings with her, I kindly declined and left the store. On my way out the lady was very disrespectful and gave me attitude. read more

Don't make the mistake of ordering balloons online from Party City and bringing them into a store to be filled. The Party City on Rosedale Hwy in Bakersfield, popped one of my 36 inch balloons. Then they had the nerve to tell me that they don't recommend bringing in third party balloons. Apparently the online Party City cute is a third party selling "defective" balloons. No apology or accountability since it may well have an employee error. I needed two balloons for the space and left with one. The manager clearly couldn't have cared less. No more online Party City for me. read more

Had a great experience at this store a few days ago, even during their busiest season. The staff in the back handling the costumes were super friendly and helpful. They had suggestions and were knowledgeable about the sizes and accessories. Also ordered 3 balloon bouquets and they were beautiful and finished on time. The cashier was friendly and well trained. She knew how to exchange an online order for an in store purchase very quickly. I will shop here again! read more

The male supervisor at the this location was not helpful at all. Told him I needed a few items for a project and he said they were put away on a high shelf and he didn't want to get them for me. Very disappointed. I thought supervisors were suppose to help the customers?! read more

I am absolutely disgusted with party city! My sweet 4-year-old child was looking at Halloween costumes when a worker popped out and purposely tried to scare him. Yelling and popping out at anyone is unprofessional and VERY DISRESPECTFUL. BUT WHEN ITS A CHILD ITS NOT FUNNY, it's CRUEL AND SICK. I was told the man that did this to my child was a part of a "cleaning crew". The woman that over saw this crew, laughed and thought it was funny when I complained, my toddler was scared and crying. There was nothing funny about this at all. I don't care which department this GROWN MAN worked for it's Party City responsibly to hire people that respect customers and their children. And for a supervisor to laugh at an upset scared child doesn't say much about there management. I will never buy or step foot in a party city again. And I will make sure to share my story with everyone I know. Party city should be ashamed of themselves. read more

I usually shop here for my party supplies and balloons, however after today I am willing to drive 6 more miles to the Stockdale location. I went in seeking assistance and was told the item on display was not available, just for decor. I said oh,are you sure all the other items hanging up there are available here I just don't see that one. So she said let me check, she looked and said no we don't have those. I then said can you call the other store, she says ok, she went to the back came out with another employee within seconds and said no the other store on Stockdale didn't sell them or have them either. So after I leave I look it up on line...(see picture below) I love your wonderful set ups and merchandise yes! However the customer service I received today, was not professional at all, I didn't read your name tag, nor that of the gentleman you called out from the back within seconds but you both know how you are. I am disappointed in today's display of poor customer service, I am not speaking about everytime I go to the establishment. read more

Party City - Looks like you had the one on display which makes sense and the other location had some to spare. Thanks for checking you know who you are - Party Supplies Near Me - Bakersfield, California

If I could give zero stars I would do it. This place should be called DON'T-BUY-FROM-US-CITY, it's not even funny. I went in here yesterday to pick out some pirate theme stuff, because I had a party to go to, and they didn't have a good selection (which is fine, that's not the bad part). When I asked one of the employees if he would help me get a hat down because it was way on top of a shelf that no one could reach, he came over and took some down and walked off. I wanted to see a couple of them because it was so far up there I couldn't see them, and I asked for help again and he came over and did the same thing; picked it up and walked off. Then there was no price tag so I said, can you give me one with a price tag and he said "ask the girl at the front" and I did and she was mad that he didn't get me another one with a price tag. EVEN THAT is all fine. It's whatever. I work in customer service too I can understand to a degree why people are rude. It's the next day that I came in to get another thing that I forgot that made me so mad. So my boyfriend came with me and he wanted this silly skull cap wig thing that was labeled at $3.99 and I said sure. Mind you, there was about 4 of these wigs on a rack that was labeled "skull cap wig $3.99" and so I go to pay for it and the cashier says it's $16.99. I said what? I explained to her that it was labeled for $3.99 and it's not the only one there labeled that. She just said "No it's 16.99" and I said but you should look, it's clearly labeled $3.99 and she flat said "No." to me. I was like "What? Whatever, I don't want it." and she said "Fine" and gave me my change and I said "Thank You" and she walked away. Nope, no thank you back or "You're Welcome" (hahaha). OH BUT THERE'S MORE! So my boyfriend was annoyed by all this and waited around for another employee to come help us (We were standing at the register for a few minutes waiting for someone to come over but they were avoiding us) and so we see the manager. I said "Hi, do you work here?" he said "Yeah" and went back to fiddling with whatever the heck he was fiddling with and I said "You guys have a rack mislabeled and it's really misleading" and he said "Is that it?" IS THAT IT? What the hell? Yeah, that's it. He didn't ask us which one or where. He acted like we were idiots. He just looked at us like we were totally putting him out of his way to listen to what we were saying. I'm in shock. I told him "We actually moved all of them to a different rack that was labeled $16.99 because people don't need to get scammed like that. So don't bother yourself to help us" and left. I did legitimately move them while my boyfriend waited for an employee to help us, which none did. We had to go look for the manager. This store is slow as far as business goes. They don't get very much business except for Halloween. I rarely see anyone in there except employees. I work at a very fast pace, stressful customer service environment, and even with a stressful atmosphere for the employees I am expected to grin and fix whatever problem it is. I would NEVER, EVER say "Is that it?" to a customer with a problem. Oh my gosh. The thought of that baffles me. AWFUL. That's all. read more
