The cashier was a very nice man and helpful to all of the customers inside. ABC has a little bit of everything, especially top shelf brands. It's a convenient liquor store for when you're looking for something in particular. However, there isn't a big selection on "all of the flavors." I was only going to ABC for Disaronno and found it! For the 1.75L bottle, it was about $60. I also bought a large jar of banana pudding moonshine for about $25. My husband was super excited with his surprise! And has yet to see the moonshine in the fridge. Ha! I will definitely come back again when the glass is down to its last drop.

Either way, it delivers exactly what you'd hope for--a great selection of drinks in a relaxed, social setting. After finishing dinner at Shijiri, we had a little over an hour to kill before heading home, so we wandered over here. We decided to grab seats inside rather than on the front patio. The interior is surprisingly spacious, with plenty of seating whether you prefer pulling up to the bar or sinking into one of the comfortable sofas. Our tasting lineup included the refreshing Sangria Slushy, Anderson Valley's Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout, and Komana's Hefe the Hefeweizen. While enjoying our drinks, we spent some time hanging out with Aria, the Bouvier des Flandres, who was incredibly friendly and happily accepted all the attention. She definitely added to the welcoming atmosphere. Before leaving, we couldn't resist browsing the shelves and ended up taking home a build-your-own six-pack featuring beers from 3 Floyds, Edit, Middle James, Two Tides, Grimm, and Anytime Beer Co. The selection is excellent for anyone who enjoys discovering craft beers beyond the usual grocery store offerings. Whether you're looking to enjoy a drink on-site, build a mixed six-pack to take home, or simply relax with friends (or make a new four-legged one), this place checks all the boxes. They had a pretty decent selection of beers available, and I was impressed that you could get pretty much any type of beer as a singleton (versus having to buy a 4 pack or whatever). I did feel like the refrigerated section could have been a bit larger, but they did have a few good choices in there. They had a big selection of beers available on tap, and while I didn't partake this time, I was kind of tempted by the quadrupel :) The bartender was nice and helpful throughout my visit. Overall, if you're in the area, this seems like a nice place to stop and grab a beer. I've seen slightly better selection of beers elsewhere, but I do think you could find something you like here :)

I asked her about a glass of wine a customer just ordered and she provided me a sample. I ordered a glass and sat at the bar for about 30 minutes and enjoyed the glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. The atmosphere is super family friendly, there were several families in there at the time. It's a shop, so there are plenty of people in and out buying beer and wine. There's a bar with plenty of seating and TVs. There are a couple of booths as well. There are benches outside and a couple of heat lamps. So contrary to what you might be thinking, I came here to buy alcohol to eat- not drink. I woke up with the sudden urge to make Banana's Foster and went down to Trader Joes for ingredients. I was reminded of the funky NC alcohol laws (CA Trader Joe's sell wine, beer and hard liquor-FYI they even have their own generic brand of vodkas and rums!). So I quickly Googled the nearest ABC store to home and wham- I ended up here! I didn't want to invest in an entire bottle of rum (especially since the recipe called for only a few tbsp) so I bought a few of the tiny airplane bottles. They seemed to have a pretty wide selection and fair prices. The ladies at the front counter told me that there was another ABC store nearby, but that location was small and served you from behind a counter. These same ladies also helped me pick the right brand of rum for my recipe (which I was thankful for since rum ain't my poison). For all of these reason's I will return! Well, all of these reason's and the simple fact that this is the only place I CAN come to buy alcohol. North Carolina kinda has me by the balls on this one.

By the way, much love to all of the Papa John's drivers - you guys are awesome and thanks for all the pizza. The selection is one of the worst I've seen. I can get most of my favorites (Tito's, Tanqueray, Bulleit), but I always have a hard time finding anything out of the ordinary. On my last visit, the store was operating two checkout lanes, and then switched to just one as soon as 10 people needed to check out. I didn't quite understand that strategy. The Cameron Village store is much nicer.

I stopped here last week and was pleasantly surprised at the beer and wine selection that were on shelves and in the coolers. Both are fairly extensive. There is a bar which is in the center of the space. They have a nice tap selection featuring beers from the Red Oak, Raleigh and Trophy Brewing companies. I sat and had a nice IPA from Bombshell Brewing. I then purchased a six pack of Hazy IPA from RBC. While I was leaving I noticed a Taco food truck pulling up for the night.
