It was back in 2014 and he had a cool little location near the St Mary Cathedral off Congress Ave in Austin, so it was handy for the couple meetings Mr. Partney and I had, in order for me to PRAY for a good d-i-v-o-r-c-e outcome. ha ha It was OK I was a nervous lady so I was glad for his help since I was having to go it alone after the DIV, with my aut son. Sure, in hineysight a few things I would have not conceded to the b****rd ex, but aren't we all 20/20 after the fact? All in all, the price was very reasonable when others were charging by the hour yadayada. Keep in mind, none of these legal matters are easy to go through; I'm glad that was 12 years ago now:-) Hi, Jason. read more

Jason and Katie made an incredible team. From day one, they were realistic with me about expectations and outcomes. They didn't sugarcoat anything, which I appreciated. They kept me grounded and prepared while building a strong strategy. They were organized and responsive, and I always felt prepared and supported. Jason knows exactly what he's doing in the courtroom. He's extremely sharp, quick on his feet, and handles situations in real time when they come up. His ability to think fast and stay composed makes a huge difference. The expectations they set were realistic, but in the end they exceeded them in a big way. I walked away with meaningful rights and real involvement in my child's life. He's worth every penny. If you're a father who simply wants to do right by your child and make sure your voice is heard, Jason and Katie will stand with you and guide you through it the right way. My advice: listen and let him work. He knows exactly what he's doing. read more

Jason is a great attorney, his legal assistant Katie, does a wonderful job as well. Would highly recommend to anybody needing an experienced, intelligent attorney for their complex situation when it comes to child custody - Family court. read more

I hired Mr. Partney to represent me in a divorce. He demonstrated average command of the law, poor attention to detail, and inconsistent response times. Given his $375/hr rate, I would not recommend. Jason may decide to do a better job for you, but in my experience he is not good. Eventually I retained another attorney to review and clean up the work Jason had done. Good Luck read more

I needed a lawyer to help me with my probate. He called me on 01/09/23 and I said, I would like to hire him. Even after what he told me put me in tears. He didn't have a sweet bedside manner, but seemed to know what he was talking about. He never sent me an email to sign up with him as of 01/12/2023. I guess I'll have to find a new lawyer. Probably, for the best. read more

5 Gold Stars! Jason Partney is truly as good as it gets. I was finally able to get my divorce finalized in 3 months for a flat fee with no nonsense (After a year before that with another attorney). Katie (office Mgr) is always pleasant, professional, and a delight to work with. I highly recommend Jason Partney and his office to solve your legal issues and with a stress free flat fee. read more

Katie is an absolute pleasure to work with. Always willing to explain in detail as many times as needed when things are confusing. Jason is incredible. Knows his stuff, no non-sense, and he gets it done. I have given out all the business cards I had and recommend him, highly. My divorce was a horrible experience until I found Jason. They helped me, gave me confidence, and clarity. Thank you for all you do. read more

Mr. Partney is a fantastic lawyer. I went to him as a father with very little objective leverage in a divorce case, but I knew the kids would be safer full time with me. He helped me work through my arguments and collect evidence supporting my position, and the end result was that I obtained primary right to designate our children's residence. The kids are much happier and safer as a result of this and we're very grateful to Mr. Partney. His shrewd & relentless intelligence was evident throughout the proceedings and, even though I wasn't paying him by the hour, he put a lot of effort into the case & his courtroom preparation resulted in a landslide during the temporary order hearing. As a father in a divorce case, if you truly feel that your kids are going to be healthier and safer with you, seek out Jason. He can help. read more

I had hired another Austin area lawyer who had promised me she would help me with my divorce step by step and with "thorough" communication. Dealing with her was completely frustrating and I felt I was completely on her back burner. I ended up complaining to her in a professional manner and instantly she dropped my case leaving me without a lawyer. Thank Goodness I called Jason Partney! He was absolutely terrific! Both he and Katie (his assistant) are excellent communicators! Jason took over my case effortlessly and went through everything with me. He walked me page by page through the decree and made sure I completely understood and agreed with everything. He gave great advice and I could completely tell he had my back and wanted the best for me. He dealt with the opposing counsel very quickly and effectively and always talked to me prior to responding and always copied me on the communication. If you are feeling completely overwhelmed with the process of getting divorced (like I was) I am promising you Jason is your guy! He and Katie will be there for you! They are very experienced, easy to talk to, extremely professional and will make this mountain you are about to climb a lot easier! read more

I needed some advice for a family issue recently and another lawyer referred me to him. He not only called me back at the time & day we agreed on, he also LISTENED to the whole issue, asked questions and gave me several options. He did not charge me! The few lawyers I had spoken with prior (or tried to) would not give me the time of day and wanted to charge an outrageous amount for just a few minutes. I will definitely recommend him to everyone! Thanks again Mr. Partney read more

Jason and Katie were both a pleasure to work with. They helped to make a painful situation much more tolerable with their calm demeanor and quick responses. Jason is very knowledgeable in family law and was able to help navigate the process from beginning to end and do so in a way that made things easy to understand. My divorce was fairly cut and dry since there were no kids involved and not much in the way of assets. Regardless, he still helped to get the best results from the situation. I walked away from it all not having any second thoughts as to whether the outcome could have been different and/or more favorable. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of a great family law attorney. read more

Jason costs me thousands of dollars by not paying attention to the details. There were times when I was not sure if he was more interested in my spouse or me. My spouses lawyer ran circles around him. Maybe he'll do a better job if you pay him by the email, but the flat fee option is crap. Ended up paying nearly as much because he simply didn't pay attention to simple basic stuff. Shame on me for trusting the would. read more

The experience I had with Jason Partneys Law Firm without a doubt has been my best experience. I am a concerned father who wanted to see his daughter and to have a better visitation then mom would allow (little to none) and on her terms. Previously I hired another attorney (Patricia Browns Law firm) that had a not so pleasant experience. I never got followed up in timely manner, felt the service was terrible and thank god I switched. I lost my retainer based on a lack of service to none and a simple filing to keep my daughter within the county till we got a court date. I hired Jason based on research and decided on him. He without a doubt gave me the visitation I wanted through mediation. It was a long process through mediation and honestly, my brain was fried after 3 hours. I'm glad he caught many things with a fine tooth comb and pointed them out and explained in plain English terms the meanings for certain things on paper and offered options and advise. He gave me a profound respect for attorneys. For the service he provides and knowledge, I honestly feel he is under paid. Keep up the hard work you provide for others as well! read more

I was fortunate enough to find Jason's practice in an internet search, and choose him to represent me in a divorce trial. He has gone above and beyond through every step of the process, and I couldn't be happier with his professional courtesy, responsiveness, thoroughness, knowledge, and punctuality. This sounds cliche', but I felt as though he had my best interests in mind, and I would recommend him to anyone I know that required legal representation. read more

Verdict still out, I am new to Austin and had a matter regarding a divorce and child custody. A bit complicated, and I sent over a letter and timeline the day before so that Jason could read it and speak to the matter at hand. I offered to pay for consultation, my offer not accepted. I was 15 minutes late. He had not read letter, and program I use alerts me to when someone opens the document. Document not opened day after appointment, and phone call to determine if email sent to correct address not returned. Jason was knowledgeable, and had some good suggestions but time could have been better spent if the e-mail had been read. read more

I was referred to Jason through another attorney who didn't do family law and I've been very pleased with his work and expertise. He has been working with my son on a divorce and child visitation and has worked very hard. He knows the latest changes in the law which our previous attorney didn't seem to stay up with. He is very responsive and doesn't waste time He has set charges for his services and has saved us a fortune. One more thing I'd like to mention is that he's human and actually cares about his clients....a big plus in my book. Thank you Jason for a great job. read more

I have never acquired a lawyer before, so I have nothing to compare it too, but I am VERY happy how things turned out in my case. I came in with tons of questions, inquiries, and more then 1 type of situation for him to handle pertaining to modifications to child support, custody, health care, & CPS. He answered every question, gave direct answers to what was feasible and what wasn't, & gave me a flat fee to help with 4 different situations at hand. We had to go to court 3 times since August, and didn't charge me anything more then what we agreed on and what I accumulated as extra fees (subpoenas, being served fees, etc). I had numerous run ins with my ex, and Jason, basically, held my hand to get through some of the messier encounters. He played mediator between myself, the ex, and his lawyer on more then one occasion. He replied to every email (and there were TONS), and he had my most up most faith on getting the job done. I got everything I asked for! The only negative thing I can say, it was difficult to get a hold of him via phone, the only reason why I can't give him full 5 stars. From asking a question, to making a payment, the phone just wasn't working with getting a hold of him. But like I said, email response was waaay quicker and a better way to communicate. Very likeable, genuine, very direct, straight to the point, "yes you can/no you can't" type of answers. I'm sure this road with the ex isn't over yet, and will have confidence with Jason in my corner. Highly recommend him! read more

visitation/child support My Son and I were referred to Jason Partney by another attorney who did not practice family law. We went in for a face to face counsel, after that Jason kept in contact with us every step of the way. He answered our calls and emails every single time. Jason is honest and upfront. Which we loved about him. We were amazed at the outcome of our case. Not only did we get standard visitation, we got expanded visitation! Everything the other party DID NOT want us to have we GOT! We also got back child support corrected. Found out AG had made a mistake on payments being credited. Thank you Jason for everything! Your the best!! read more

I was on the hunt for an attorney to assist me with my divorce, not only that but a reasonably priced one. After several calls and high priced lawyers, I stumbled upon Jason Partney Law Firm. It was shocking to have found him; because finding his number was my last resort. I would have had to totally choose one of the high priced lawyers, and this was just for assistance. Jason Partney was awesome from day one, not only was his quote reasonable, he was attentive to my needs. Anything I asked of him he made sure it was the right choice for me. There was no judgement on my views or opinions, and he was prompt in calling me for appointments and such. He is one in a million and I will forever be grateful to him for his time and support. Now to the best part about the firm... Katie is equally awesome, anytime I called or needed anything she was always available, she went over and beyond for me through the whole process and I can not thank her enough. I will forever be grateful to this firm for all that was done for me. They turned a seemingly hard process (if I would have done it on my own) to a smooth one. Thank you both for all of your hard work, dedication, and support!!! read more

Jason is an outstanding attorney and a good man. He was honest and direct and kept me informed. His rates are reasonable and he is willing to work with flexible payment schedules. He has on a few occasions gone above the call of duty in helping a desperate single dad get through a stressful experience. He is compassionate and cares for the needs and best interests of his clients and their families and deserves a five star rating. I would recommend him to any of my friends and family in need of a top notch family attorney. Thank you, Jason! read more

Absolutely, without a doubt, the best family/divorce attorney in the Austin metro area. He was always a consummate professional. Meticulous attention to detail and very knowledgeable. Jason has helped me with a ticket issue before and was great to work with, but what makes me come here to now leave a raving five star review, is how he recently helped one of my very good friends through her divorce. I had a front row seat to the incredibly heart breaking and difficult time this was for her, and I was so impressed with the bright guiding light Jason was through all the twists and turns brought forth by this process. He is very knowledgeable, quick on his feet, fair, firm and showed great sensitivity to the situation. He really cares. If you or anyone you know has to go through a divorce I can not recommend Jason enough. I was so impressed as a bystander, that I can imagine those he represents feel completely confident in his abilities and well taken care of. read more

I feel that if you don't agree with him then you'll get thrown under the bus. If you want to stand up for something or state your case he won't allow it. He is the professional though so your request do not matter. I had asked multiple times for him to get off my case and that I wanted him completely dismissed and he refused to until he ensured paperwork was signed that I did not agree with. He is super friendly and very Kumbaya with opossing consel and pretty much anyone who he meets. If you are going through a civil divorce I would highly recommend him. He is a super sweet nice guy. If you need someone who is going to listen to what you have to say and not throw you to the wolves because you are displeased with him then this isn't your guy. This attorney isn't one to put a fight for you unless you completely agree with all that he is doing. Unfortunately we had different views and opinions but I wouldn't have thought a professional would have thrown their still client under the bus and I wish he would have listened to my request the first time when I asked to dismiss him from my case. He continued to work against me, that's why he continued on my case. He did nothing to benefit my case after I had told him I wanted him to stop working and get off of my case. I had to ask 3 times and hired a new attorney to boot him. Regardless like I said he is a super nice genuine guy but I most definitely felt it was his way or the highway so we had to part ways. I know he will leave an enormous review back to defend this I am sure. But these are just my feelings on him as an attorney and there is nothing wrong with having feelings. read more

In my early sixties resulting in a divorce after 25 years my life was blind-sighted by a divorce. After several searches for an attorney who could help me figure things out, I chose the Partney Law firm based solely on the on-line reviews. That's as scary as a divorce at my age. I couldn't have chosen wiser. Jason Partney is a true professional. He is extremely versed on family law, clear and concise, and extremely personable. One of the most patient business men I have had the pleasure to meet. He will present clearly what his fees are and stand by that 100%. He is an attorney with heart and plays fair ball. Working on your behalf for what is fair to your case does not mean cut-throat. He is definitely not that. It's been a frightening journey for me at my age, but I have gained a friend in Jason and his assistant, Katie Wagner. What a breath of fresh air she is! It's been a refreshing pleasure to know that attorneys are still out there that have a heart, a strong professional mind, and aren't there to nickle and dime you to death, but will work on your behalf. Thanks for the necessary help I needed on a road to a new start! read more
