The Traub Law Office - Andrew Traub

This is a long review of our experience but the summary is: Andrew is by far the best Austin…read morepersonal injury lawyer there is and we couldn't have found a better fit to represent us in our case! Andrew Traub represented us when we were hit at a school while dropping off our kids. My wife was ran over and ended up with severe leg scarring, I injured my jaw, and my son had severe emotional trauma. We spent months interviewing attorneys and decided Andrew Traub was the best injury attorney in Texas for our case. My wife's portion of the case wasn't hard to get max ($350,000) given her injuries; however, my son's emotional trauma was a VERY complex issue given it's not as easy to establish as physical injury. USAA (her insurance) and State Farm (our insurance) repeatedly denied any compensation to him. Andrew, using his expertise, was eventually able to get the pay max ($350,000) on his claim! My jaw injury was a physical injury but, ironically, USAA kept saying it was from my military service. In the end USAA did pay the policy limit ($100,000) for my jaw injury (our under-insurance had already paid out max). But, what I feel is just as important, is the way Andrew treated us. He was always keeping us in the loop and helping coordinate issues and care. He ensured we knew what to expect and rough estimates on time frames. He helped us set up a structured settlement where our son's money would almost double by the time he receives it. He was more than willing to help with the car damage side of the claim- which we had already don't but it would have been great not having to deal with it (we took our time interviewing attorneys given the complexity of the case).

We were quoted a 6 week time frame. See photo for one of many issues we needed help resolving. :( I was hesitant to contact a lawyer, but it got to the point where we felt there was no alternative. I called Andrew and we dove right in to the issue. He asked several questions about the situation and about our HVAC contract and recommended a path forward. Andrew was reassuring, insightful and extremely knowledgable. He gave some great insight into the legalities of contract work and after our conversation I felt very confident that this issue would be resolved quickly. We quickly discussed the email I was instructed to send to the contractor before hanging up. After I emailed the contractor my list of concerns and let him know we had contacted Andrew Traub to pursue legal action, he was very interested in resolving the issues ASAP. Funny how that works, huh? I would highly recommend Andrew and his team to anyone who may be seeking legal assistance.

Yes I did read it but I am not an attorney and didn't know what t's to cross and I'd to dot. Neither did he and now I'm back at square one and out the money to fix his mistakes.

I decided I wanted to meet with him in person eventhough I was given the option to discuss my case over the phone. Not having any experience in how the justice system works, i thought it would be important for Mr Hunsberger to hear my take on the situation, a traffic violation. So not necessary, he knows the system inside and out. He quickly summed up to a tee, how it works, what was going to happen, and that I didn't even have to go to court. He would take care of all that. And boy did he. Two of the charges were dropped and the 3rd one required a fee... and after a small waiting period with no violations, the 3rd charge would never hit my driving record. Everything he said was accurate. His fees are reasonable. Mr Hunsberger is as honest and upright as they get. A good person to represent your interests. btw, I found Mr Hunsberger via Yelp. I felt comfortable with the reviews posted. I especially liked his office location. I didn't have to go downtown. A wise choice.

My experience with Jessica was the most positive experience with an attorney that I have ever had…read more To give you a little back story regarding my situation (feel free to skip to paragraph 4 if under time constraints,) representing myself, I attempted to navigate the Texas legal system to resolve a divorce internationally to a man that for 9 years I could not locate. Due to additional extraordinary (not in a good way) circumstances which compounded to create what can only be described as "the perfect legal storm," my progress remained at a stand still for the last 4 years. Beginning a little over a year ago, I broke down and began consulting with attorney after attorney to no avail. Each consultation revealed that inordinate retainers would be required in advance, and some even made me feel their sense of defeat before we even began. At the end of 2013, a wrench was thrown into the gears that required me to find help and obtain a resolution as soon as possible. I had no time left to be unproductive. In January, I stumbled upon The Worden Law Firm while perusing Yelp reviews of several local Travis County law firms. I read all of the reviews on their page (regardless of what the Yelp automated recommendation software believes.) After doing so, I knew that I needed to reach out to this firm, and I did so the very next day. I have absolutely no regrets. Jessica replied electronically to my inquiry within 1 business day. She showed no fear of my situation, and in fact was rather excited to take it on. Her retainer was a fraction of what others had demanded, and her fees very reasonable. She was incredibly easy to work with, positive, very personable, non-judgmental, ethical, and worked swiftly and diligently to file documents and make any needed changes. She was able to navigate the law and initiated the service of divorce papers to my husband internationally (in my case, a process that could have taken up to 8 months.) I tell you with tears of joy in my eyes, by the end of June I was a single woman! After everything I went through, all of the brick walls and dead ends, Jessica has helped me do what I was beginning to believe was impossible. I will certainly use her for any future legal needs, and I highly recommend her to all of my friends, family, and to you reading this today.

Do not have Jessica Warden work for you. She promised to get me in front of a judge 1 year…read moreago, which is why I retained her in the first place and she did not carry out her promise. She is full of excuses and for the year I had her on retainer all she was talking about was money all the time. We had a payment plan and when I was $300 away from paying her off of the $5000, she threatened to walk away from my case. Are you kidding me ? We discussed later on ,that She would prep me for the custody hearing so that I would not have to pay anything else and she billed me an extra $3000 for doing absolutely nothing right after she told me my remaining bill was $500. Take that for what you will. She did not follow through with what She agreed to do. I live in Los Angeles and obviously she is in Austin and I trusted her. Even a simple question that I would email to her would be responded with " well that's a loaded question. " my case has been complicated, but all I needed to do in Travis County was to get in front of a judge, and even now she refuses to file simple documents, which includes registering my case and enforcing the court orders from California. Travis County has been a complete shit show. And what promised to be something simple ,ultimately became impossible for this woman to do .One year later she has my $5000 and I am no further along than what I was at the time that I retained her. she gave me false hope and manipulated me with promises She did not keep. She will come back on here and probably try and shoot this review down and try to justify her actions, but ultimately when you say you're gonna do something and you get paid for it, then do it .Do not hire this attorney. I emailed many court documents to her for this hearing, and she has not even mentioned where they are and why they cannot be filed to my case. All her explanations do not make sense. I am literally no further along than one year ago and if you have to charge someone $5000 to be at this point in a case then why are you even practicing law . she even tried taking credit for a hearing that the mother was attempting to terminate my parental rights, when we literally walked in the court, and the first thing that came out of the judge's mouth was, she was not going to approve the mothers application. I was on Zoom and I recorded everything on audio just for something to refer back to. Jessica claims she won the hearing while she was sitting at home on her laptop and hardly even spoke in the hearing, I know a lot of family law attorneys are narcissists, but this is ridiculous. had she said in the beginning that she could not get me in front of a judge for a $5000 retainer then I would not have hired her in the first place. I'm furthermore there is absolutely no evidence that she has even put a case together for me because now she is ignoring the fact that I need to be in front of a judge . Where are all these emails that I sent with the Los Angeles Court documents??? and why are they not prepared into a file that can be put into my new case in Travis County??? This is something that a Paralegal could quite easily do , but I paid Jessica to do it. It should be no big deal for an attorney to file a hearing in court. This is what I am pissed off about. She has now signed off on the case conveniently before She was trying to sign off, which has taken three months to do waiting for the judges signature .I will probably be filing a complaint to the Texas State bar if she does not complete what she said she was going to do. she is a very below average attorney that thinks that she is a lot better than she actually is my friend who is a paralegal in a high profile. Los Angeles law firm looked over the billing and laughed at it. It was sloppy just like her work. All I'm saying is where is the case that you prepared for the $5000 I paid you. You are ghosting me right now and not addressing this I feel as if I have been scammed.

I was particularly disappointed because he was recommended through the State Bar referral service. At the follow-up meeting, after I'd already emailed him my necessary information, he quickly proved unable to answer even simple questions about my case. Within 10 minutes, I knew he wasn't the right fit. He then quoted a $3,000 price for representation, which I immediately declined. Despite declining, he still billed me the full $3,000. I am totally dissatisfied and disappointed. Since then, I've consulted with six other law firms. All were noticeably more professional, provided clear answers, and didn't bill me for the initial consultation. I also didn't have to listen to a single one discuss their college or sports background. Wish I could give a zero star experience, definitely do not recommend.
