The gorge is accessible in both directions again now, however, there's a mask requirement in the gorge. The cost is currently 6€ per adult, 3€ for 6 -17 yo., and 1€ for your puppy. If you're staying in nearby town, guest card will give you 1€ discount for adults (I'm not sure about children and puppies).
The Partnach Gorge is a 700-meter-long gorge in the Reintal near Garmisch-Partenkirchen, which is partially cut over 80 meters deep by the Partnach torrent. The bottom of the valley is about 800 meter above sea level. In 1912 the Partnach Gorge was declared a Natural Monument. The path always runs on the right side of the stream.
The gorge has also been open to tourists since 1912. The gorge can be climbed all year round during the day. The Partnach Gorge can be reached easily from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In addition, the path through the gorge is very easy to walk as there are no great differences in altitude to overcome. These conditions contribute to the fact that the Partnach Gorge is one of the most famous and most visited gorges in Germany. During the snowmelt in spring, the gorge can be closed for a short time.
In terms of hike: from the Olympic Stadium parking lot (free) to the gorge entrance is about 20 minutes, then about 40 minutes through the gorge, the ascent to Vordergraseck (there are several biergartens/restaurants in this vicinity if you want to have some refreshments) can be done in 40 minutes if you're in good shape--it was surprisingly hard climb for me though. For the further decent to the Partnach, you should plan at least 30 minutes, then another 20 minutes back to your car. That'll be total of about 2 hours and 30 minutes to do this hike. If you don't want to walk to the gorge, there's the horse-drawn carriages to the gorge and back for fee (the price is unknown to me, but I'd imagine it'll be around 5€ per person one way).
The one-way regulation is currently lifted and the Partnachklamm can be crossed in both directions. However, passing folks approaching from the other direction might pose you some challenges at times since the pathway is only about 2 - 3-foot wide.
