Our room looked out over Naples Bay, and the little time we spent in our room, we opened the terrace doors to the sights and sounds of Chiaia. Naples is gritty, but Chiaia is lovely. The pedestrian area in front of the hotel was very welcome in contrast to the rest of the bustling city. Restaurants, gelato, little fishing boats, several beautiful yachts at anchor, leisurely strolling by the water day and night. There was a bus stop on the next street over which put us in touch with the rest of the city. The staff was very helpful at every contact. The breakfast was a bounty of breads, meats, cheeses, glorious cakes and pastries, fruits -- and yes, scrambled eggs and bacon for those must have Americans.
