I'd give them no stars if I could. They charge fees out the ASS like any other bank. To call…read morethemselves a credit union is a joke. I only kept them because they are the only place I can deposit cash in the area. I have two other banks and another credit union and this by far the worst bank. I'd sooner Bank with regions. just another example of a financial institution taking advantage of people that are poor. Awesome job.

if you have been charged overdraft fees, and taken advantage of by this bank, here is some advice…read morethat can help you! read on. i have been banking with tva for several years, and i am in the process of leaving, obviously. there are 5 ways you can be helped here, and i will explain the 5 ways clearly. 1. if you go to the atm on a weekend or holiday to deposit cash or checks, and the atm is not working again, as usual, get out your phone, take pictures of the atm and make videos of what has happened. then you have to call back on the next week day, miss work, lose wages, and wait on hold, but because you have documented the bank's failure to provide you instant deposit, which is a benefit of you membership, they have to put back your overdraft fees because they caused the deposit delay. 2. if you notice that your direct deposits are late being posted, and they try to pass the buck, request to speak directly to the deposits and ach department. they get behind a lot, and you need to point this out to them, and insist that they put back your overdraft fees. there is a portion of the deposit process that can get behind because of the way this bank is poorly operated, and that can delay you receiving your funds, and it their fault, not yours. they have put back fees for me 6 times because of this. some of them will try to lie and argue with you, but just keep persisting. 3. if you deposit cash in the drop box after hours and they lose your funds, go to the bank every day and fill out forms, and report it stolen to the police, until they find it. make a video of yourself and take pictures while you are making drop box deposits for your records always. 4. go in person to the bank and require they provide you with a hard copy document that proves you have opted out of every single possible type of overdraft fee/protection service. take all of your bills off of auto-pay. log into your accounts and pay bills daily with your debit card instead on your computer. take out cash to make purchases, and stop sliding your card at checkouts, because your transactions will constantly change order on your app and your user panel online. sometimes, big batches of transaction are held for a whole week, and then suddenly all hit your account on a weekend, it's absurd. 5. change banks as soon as you can. i wish i knew what bank to reccommend. they are all pretty terrible. pick your poison i guess. good luck out there.
