They were closed so we left it outside their gate. When I returned the next morning just before their 8 a.m. opening time I found the trailer had been moved inside their locked yard. Larry had noticed it there Sunday night and moved it safely inside. When the staff came to work they flew into action. They sent me to get a new wheel (shout out to Les Schwab for getting me in and out in less than half an hour with my tire mounted and balanced on a new wheel!). By the time I got back Larry's staff had replaced the destroyed brake drum with a perfectly good used one they had on hand, replaced the destroyed studs, lubed both hubs and mounted my spare. When I mentioned I'd come back to have them take a look at my wonky propane refrigerator Larry serviced it there and then (it works perfectly now). I was amazed at how little it all cost and I was on my way by 10 a.m. After a horible experience at Camping World I am never having my rig serviced anywhere but Dave's, the two hours up from San Francisco notwithstanding. Those REALLY nice folks, who love their work, saved our vacation.

They weren't supposed to fill the water tank, but they did and didn't tell me they had done that. They didn't check the frame and screws to make sure the water tank was secure. We never keep water in the tank when traveling. On our first trip after getting it back, the frame and the tank collapsed from the water weight. It will be $1100 to fix it. I didn't ask them why they did that because I was so pissed and because I expected them to both deny they had done that and say that the tank coming down was my fault. It'll be a cold day in hell before I ever go back there for anything.

We stopped at 2 different RV repair shops in Ukiah. Both of them listened to our problems and then said that the earliest they could fit us in would be in three months. LOL. The last place suggested we check out NCD Painting, which also services RVs and Heavy Equipment. We pulled in, met Pete Moyer who also listened to our tale of woe. He then called over Sean, and they both began figuring out what needed to be fixed. I was expecting Pete to tell me to come back in 2 months; but no, they immediately began working on the van. They fixed the leak in our water filter. Then they tackled our gray water problem. They worked on it for 2 hours and fixed our problems and sent us on our way. Pete and Sean were incredibly nice and accommodating. They charged us a very reasonable price. And they will never see us again. Amazing people. I can't remind recommend NCD Painting enough. We also realized after the fact that we paid a "set up" or prep fee of $75. We went on this trip with three other families, we all rented from different locations. We were the only one charged for a set up fee, not my major compliant however. We are also the only family that didn't get their full deposit return. We are also the only family who had to send numerous emails wondering where our deposit was. After finally contacting our credit card company who then contacted Vogel, we did get a partial check ( a month later). We took a public road to a friends property. Upon arrival we had to drive on his property to park our RVs. We admit the property had Manzanita bush that weren't completely cleared. However, since all the other families were responsible for returning their RV clean, they made sure the red marks from the bush were removable. With a paper towel and 409 cleaner the red stain disappeared. Hence the reason they weren't charged. Of course we tested this on our RV as well but decided since we were paying $275 to have them clean it, we would be fine. WRONG!!! Apparently our 20 foot trailer needed $475 worth of cleaning. Yes $475!!! We got charged an extra $200 that's $100 dollars per hour they claimed it took to buff out these red marks. They stated it took them 2 hours at $100 per hour to wax and buff the red marks; marks we all removed with a paper towel and 409 cleaner. My husband is an executive at a major company and he doesn't make $100 an hour. This seemed totally unfair and over the top to me. I feel we were taken advantage of. I've never written a YELP review. I'm not a negative person, I feel this was poor customer service and truly unfair.
