I've had several old super 8 movies and slides transferred over to DVD and flash drive form. Myself and my family have been extremely pleased with the quality, and we are all enjoying watching our old movies and photos. Mike has always been wonderful, giving several options, and having our movies done in a timely manner. Thank you!! read more

Mike is the Man! Anything media go to Mike! Efficient, friendly and fast service! I've used him for several years!

Mike did a great job making copies of my DVD for my sister's memorial service. He found a scratch on my original and remastered to produce great copies for me. I would highly recommend Mike at Parrot Video! read more

I had about 40 vhs-c tapes that I wanted converted to DVD/MP4 format. Mike did it in less than a week and organized each one by date and title. Now my brother and I have all our childhood home videos condensed into one small USB that we can plug into our Smart TV and watch 30 year old memories on. Not to mention, we have back up DVDs as well. Mike's pricing was the best of all the places I called and his honesty is very appreciated. Highly recommend his services! read more

I would highly recommend Parrot and Mike to anyone. Wonderful customer service, highly knowledgeable and prompt. Did not expect to see much from 40 year old videos however they were better quality than I could have ever imagined. Very emotional seeing some stuff I never expected to see again. Mike is an awesome man! read more

Amazing! Mike delivers! He will simplify your life!! I had 60 year old films, VHS tapes, small discs that didn't fit my TV, and he transferred them to whatever media I wanted him to! We showed the films (on a thumb drive) at a celebration of life, and now I have every video of my kids' growing up all one thumb drive! Woo hoo! He is busy, and juggling the work of many customers, but we are moving out of state soon, and he hustled to get ours done quickly. PARROT VIDEO SERVICES IS THE BEST! read more

Probably the first time I've ever wanted to give someone 6 stars. Called about converting some 3/4 inch video tapes that were 30+ years old. I called several places. Most were more expensive, and honeslty, didn't seem that interested in the job. Probably because of how old they were. Pattor Video was the first to actually have a conversation with me. He was very honest about what the condition of the tapes might be and if they were still playable, but explained he had several machines so he would try each one before he gave up. I had 25 tapes, and he got them all to play! He told me a week, which I was fine with. I mean, we've waited 30+ years, what's a couple weeks? Well, they were done the next day! Can't beat that service. I totally recommend Parrot Video if you need anything converted, edited, or preserved. read more

Mike's experience is immense and he works very fast to get projects done on time and on budget. Mike has managed (and in record time!) put 50 +/- years of my life onto a flash drive. There were videos in different formats, slides, and other "stuff" (some without titles), and not just ONLY transferring them but he organized them, putting titles on them, and placing them ALL into one box for me to take home. Thank you for this! The best! read more

Mike was incredibly helpful and professional. He went the extra mile converting some old videos for us. I am so glad we chose Parrot for the job! read more

Parrot did a great job converting a variety of old format video tapes into DVDs and onto a flash drive. Finished the work even sooner than expected! Everything was clearly labeled and professional. Mike was fantastic and very knowledgable. Will definitely use them again! read more

At Parrot Video, you will find a hands-on owner who delivers nothing but the best at a reasonable cost. I needed to convert old mini and regular VHS to DVD and MP4. I called around to a few places, and found Mike to be both pleasant and offering the lowest cost to do both at the same time. I dropped off a total of 14 tapes and Mike created 5 DVDs and labeled each with the contents. I received the call less than 24 hours later that my job was done. I'm not an expert, but I think the quality (considering coming from old VHS) is superb. If you want someone who truly cares about video conversion, offers reasonable prices and is responsive, then please look no further than Mike at Parrot Video. read more

Dropped off 4 VHS I found cleaning out a closet. I had no idea what was on them. Called around and Mike had the best price. Dropped them off on the way to work and indicated that I did not want them transferred to DVD if it turned out that they were just TV shows tapped over and over again (rather than home videos). Mike called an hour later to report that it was all TV shows, there would be no charge, and he would be happy to throw them away for me. Honestly, I don't know how this business model works, but I sure do appreciate Mike spending the time to help me out. Highly recommend. read more

Parrot Video Services helped me figure out what was on an old video tape that was twisted and in bad shape. It turned out to be nothing we wanted to save, but the owner was gracious with his time and he had dropped whatever he was doing when I walked in to help me. Thank you so much. We will be back with other old items to digitize! read more

The owner Mike always goes above and beyond making sure everything is perfect. I brought in old reels from the 1950's and he had them converted perfectly with music to match the times. We played them at my Mothers birthday bash and everyone was in awe. Thank you Mike for creating something special! read more

I would give 10 stars if I could. Parrot Video Services is absolutely AMAZING!! I called around to multiple places and Mike was half the price in half the time of the others. He is professional, knowledgable, honest and friendly. Highly, highly recommend. I will definitely go back to Parrot for any video service needs. read more

I love the personal service here and how friendly the owner is. He works with me to get my projects done.

Mike is a super nice guy and talkative :-). He never rushes you or makes you feel anything, but welcomed. I went with him even though he is an hour drive one way from me bec his reviews compared to the reviews of companies in Long Beach. I also chose Mike bec he said his dvd pricing is $19 while others are charging $30 and have bad reviews. I had him transfer 29 vhs and vhs-c tapes to dvd and a hard drive. He gave me back up dvd on all and cases to store them in. I also had him stack DVD's (continuing the DVD's until no more room) so that was extra a little. I'll enclose the bill so you can see. Anyway, my tapes were starting to have black out spots and I didn't want to lose any of the videos bec the precious memories of my dead sister, gpa, father in law, and videos of my kids are priceless. I have left 30 more vhs-c tapes with Mike and when I return to get them, I will be dropping off reels from my mother in laws storage to transfer-cannot wait to see what surprises are on those :-) read more

We needed a DVD containing old family films duplicated to share with other family members. We dropped them off with Mike at his shop and went to lunch. Even though the run time of the original DVD was over an hour, when we returned our order of 5 duplicates was ready with professional labels. We highly recommend Parrot Video Services. This review is long overdue. Mike converted our wedding and honeymoon helicopter tour VHS videos to DVD. He even included a nice custom case for both. The work and service received were exceptional. The pricing was also very reasonable. I only wish there were more small businesses like this. read more

This review is very overdue, as I used his services exactly one year ago haha. Anyways, I had a groupon to convert the tapes and wanted to convert the old tapes in time before christmas so the whole family could view it together. The thing is, I didn't get the tapes to him until like 2 days beforehand! So the demand on him was very high, but he met my request and did an express service in amazing time! I also should mention that my tapes were European / German VHS tapes, and he had machines to convert that. read more

I have been using Parrot Video Services for over a decade for dozens of professional and personal projects--Video, DVD, CD editing, duplication, remastering, etc ... numerous projects I could not have accomplished without Mike Allen's timely, friendly and truly professional suggestions and hands-on help. Believe me, it doesn't get better than this, especially for an older baby-boomer like me who knows so little about what I even want, much less how to accomplish it! read more

We came to Parrot Video in a panic with a a slideshow for a friend's funeral. We were stuck, I emailed Parrot Video at midnight, my call was returned at 9AM. Thank you so very much for helping us manage and cherish our VHS memories. We were so impressed with the quality, the customer service and the reasonable price. They took the time to label each of our DVDs and organize them into a wonderful case. My mom was only in town for a few days so we were on a limited schedule to be able to make these copies and Mike went out of his way to help us get these copies done before she left for out of state. There are no words to thank you enough. We will be bringing over more memories to copy onto DVD. The service you provide is absolutely priceless and we are so grateful. I just completed two major projects with Mike - I had a bunch of mini tapes from a camera that no longer worked - I had no idea what was on the tapes or if they were possibly empty- I also had SIM cards and, again, had no idea as to content. He was kind enough to sit with me and pull up the Sim cards quickly to see what was on them and show me that some of them had already been transferred. He also offered to check all the tapes I thought may be empty at no charge ..... turns out there were small amts on each tape and he was able to condense onto one DVD and note which ones were empty. He also recovered an audio recording from a mini cassette tape from 1976 that was very special to me. I just found him to be very honest and it was refreshing. Everything is done in- house and both times my items were actually completed in only ONE day!! Very very happy and highly recommend! read more

I found Parrot and had them convert some very old VHS tapes to DVD. They did a great job and offer suggestions on how to deal with some old damages tapes. Turn around time was less than a week. I would recommend them for video services. read more

Disney VHS Conversion. 100% legal as long as you are only requesting one copy. Our son loves the old fashion vibes.

Great company and super fast. After my grandfather passed away we only had a short time to get a videography done for the funeral. They got everything done and even made special tapes for our family in Australia that couldn't make the services. read more

Used Groupon coupon to have 5 video tapes transferred to digital DVD. The quality varies from DVD to DVD likely caused by the various different models of video tape players used. For instance, some DVD's have chapters, others don't. Some can be played all the way through others get stuck and won't play beyond a certain point. Even the ones that do play frequently have lines of distortion at the bottom. None of them boot up when inserted to DVD player or computer but require a tedious task of clicking through DVD player then trying various chapter links before one begins playing. None will copy to my PC for my editing in Adobe Premiere because the program finds them copy protected. Suggest going to Costco for better quality control. read more

This place is great. Mike turned 20,000 still photos I had from a motion sensitive camera into a time lapse video. The photos were from a fixed location on a construction project and he was able to make the pictures from 6 months of construction onto a 3 minute time lapse. Awesome service and very reasonable on the price. read more
