There's plenty of sites to set up vehicles and tents with hookups, picnic sites, showers, and trails to the lake for fishing and hanging out. There's also trails for biking/hiking where you can enjoy the scenery and sounds of nature. Many people commented about how dirty it can be. Fortunately, I did not encounter any of that during my visit. But I know the frustrations. People need to clean up after themselves as this nice park and camping destination is for everyone. I hope the visitors treat it that way.

First of all, you can camp and RV here at Lake Casa Blanca International State Park!! They have…read morelots of sites, many have partial hook ups, some have full hook ups, and a few have these nice cement platforms raised up and under shades!! There is also a large lake for boating and swimming (at your own risk as there are no lifeguards). Lots of shaded picnic and grilling areas, and a couple playgrounds. Inside the Ranger Station at the front entrance you can buy a Texas State Park passport. A page is devoted to each state park where you can make notes of what you did or saw and get your book stamped. If you visit a park in 2023 you can also purchase a Centenial I was at this park "collecting bugs" (taking snapshots) so my kid could identify them on a bug identification app. Found some exciting specimens that I have never come across before!! There are also a lot of birds and some other wildlife, of which I found footprints. It was really hot that June morning and I think the animals were smarter than me and hiding from the heat. This park is really good but could use a little more funding or updates. There's an unused building at the top of the hill that would make a very cute gift shop or exhibit area if someone could refurbish it and add in some cooling system. The narrow dirt trails were nice but should probably be designated either for mountain biking or for walking as a couple of bikes came upon my suddenly in areas of heavy vegetation. I'm glad I didn't step in front of them. (If there are some Girl Scouts out there, maybe you could campaign to get some local companies to come together and fix up some stuff at this gem of a state park.)

In the swimming pool I haven't seeing shade, there is always a life saver that the city provides; they usually charge to enter, from 1-4 dlls per person, just cash. All this time that the park has being working, I have seeing the concession centers to be working on season schedule or something, to me that is money invested that is wasted. It would be nice that people could count on those places to go to the park for a while and then get a frozen drink or snack. The dog area the last time I was there, had some part of the gate not working, and some holes on the fence. Wild life could be present too, we have seeing deer early on the morning when walking. The park is connected by a sidewalk to a lake if you go walking under the bridge on Merida St.

Trash cans are overflowing, plastic bottles and cups, candy wrappers, beer cans and broken glass everywhere. Half of the lawn is patchy and is dried out and half of it is , probably the overgrowth is blocking the sprinklers from watering those aeas thenext to it. Locals are afraid to bring their dogs to the dog park area, there were no bags in the dog park area and all the trash was overflowing. Dog poop everywhere, probably because no bags were to be found to clean it up and apparently locals aren't intelligent enough to bring their own bags. Bottles and cans strewn around the dog park, broken gates, crummy fences. This place was built with using way too much money and then left to rot. The worst part is that according to a sign this park was built to honor veterans. Well if you ask me this is pretty sad. This place actually probably needs a a security guard or maybe even a police officer to watch over it. The bathroom smells like a methlab, this Park appears to be a popular drug junkie hangout. It has so much potential. But i suppose he community and the city don't have yet to purchase some standards.
