This here is a lovely Promenade facing the Cantabrian Sea. Traffic-free, lots of space, wide sidewalks, lots of green and a playground for the smaller visitors.
In spring 2021 the town was pretty empty due to Covid-19 even though it was a picture perfect sunny day. We enjoyed strolling on this boardwalk here. Some shops and a good number of restaurants with a view are located here (we had lunch in a backstreet though - good authentic spanish food).
The "Castro Urdiales" letters are located here as well, makes a good photo op with the Castillo-Faro de Santa Ana and the impressive Iglesia de Santa María de la Asunción as a background. These two landmarks are really a sight to behold. Even though some cranes block them partly right now.
Underneath this lovely park is the easiest and best option to park your car. A good, safe and reasonably priced parking lot.
