Paros Antiques is a sweet, cluttered little shop on St James. I'm actually probably saying 'sweet' because of the little old lady behind the counter. She watched me browse around, smiling the whole time. Aw, I should have bought something.
Items available included the standard antique shop necessities: books, jewellery, dishware and ashtrays in blown glass (some of the dishware came in full sets), trinkets and figurines. Highlights included a display of dolls that were all in very good condition and somewhat creepy, and the lovely collection of brooches in one of the jewellery cases. They were all delightfully painted, though a bit expensive.
One side of the shop (there are two entrances, as it turns out) is quite crowded and congested, whilst the other is more spacious and has several larger statues on display. A cute shop to check out if you enjoy antiquing. read more
