Stopped in for the first time on a Saturday afternoon during the ANZAC holiday weekend. We were welcomed warmly and decided to sit outside since it was a gorgeous day.
There are several cute outdoor seating options ranging from large and small tables or a cluster of vintage furniture around a low slung inlaid coffee table. We chose the latter and our area even had a heat lamp - not necessary on such a lovely day but made a mental note for Canberra's chilly winter ahead.
Perused the menu and were tempted by so many fresh and yummy looking options for drinks and lunch. Couples, families and even a drinks event around us all seemed to be having fun.
I ordered an espresso martini (so glad these are back!) and my partner requested a greyhound (grapefruit juice and vodka.). We decided to split the Pulled Mushroom Burger with spiced mushroom, aged cheddar, slaw, chilli jam and fries. Drinks came out quickly and food followed shortly after.
Everything was so good! Espresso martini was spot on and served in a cute glass. My partner's drink looked great too, super fresh squeezed pink grapefruit juice, vigorously shaken and served in a tall glass. They seem to have a really nice selection of fresh juices overall too. Mushroom burger was so tasty, great mix of flavors and everything cooked perfectly.
Terrific service - even though it was busy on the holiday weekend our sweet servers took great care of us, super efficient and warm service. Overall a wonderful experience and I'm excited to come back.
Bonus points: adorable porcelain dish for the check and business card featuring some of the history of the area. read more
