1st star - I had the chicken thigh special and it was acceptably tasty 2nd star - designated smoking area for smokers to keep away from children 3rd star - activities outdoors for families No 4th star - we waited a very very very long time for food and those served first at the table finished their meal before half the meals even came out No 5th star - kids menu could be better for picky eaters, even if it's just nuggets. The chips also weren't good. Kids hated them chips, and they usually love chips! All my reviews are standardised to the following star ratings: 1. Awesome little old school pub just north of main Sydney zone. We stopped for some pints and lunch before heading to Sydney and it was a great recommendation. Fish and chips were excellent t, staff were friendly, great beers, and various outdoor areas. Great spot. read more

Best beer in Canberra (rotating craft beer taps with lots of local Australian brews). The kitchen has grown a lot in the last few years. They have the most authentic buffalo wings in Canberra and they cook some great specials. My favorite main menu item outside of the wings is the kangaroo steak with beetroot jam. The staff is also among the best around. They really care about their customers and making sure they are comfortable and enjoying themselves. read more

I love the atmosphere here, great beer garden area which you are allowed to smoke in. However I was thoroughly disappointed by the food. I had a classic chicken schnitzel with chips and salad, chips were soggy and tasted strange, salad had no dressing and the schnitzel was tough, over cooked and not seasoned at all! My boyfriend had the same but with Mac and cheese and it just tasted like milk and pasta - no salt, no cheese, nothin. Worst schnitzel I have ever had and I am so disappointed because I love going here, just not the food!! read more
