I really like this place! I also love that it has a drive thru! My husband and I travel a lot, so when we have early mornings we stop by and grab breakfast. The service is fast and generally friendly for it being so early some days and the price ain't to bad either. There was a time when cronuts were an exclusive item that you had to pre-order ahead of time or be early in line to snag one of the few made that day. In comes Parlor Doughnuts who specializes in cronuts and offers a wide selection of flavors. The cronuts are nice and big in size. They look dense but don't be fooled. Once you bite into it, your teeth hits the slightly crispy crust before they sink into multiple layers of soft, airy dough. The taste of the dough is not too sweet which perfectly complements the toppings. There are so many toppings to choose from. Fruity to gooey caramel to rich chocolate they have you covered. This place gets busy so I've had mixed experiences. There was quite a wait the first time I went, but the young lady at the drive thru window seemed genuinely apologetic. Another time, I ordered a box of cronies that were suppose to be a variety with a dipping sauce. No sauce was included and half of them were plain. Don't get me wrong, they were still delicious, but the few that were filled tasted much better. Their menu includes coffee, teas, and pressed juice drinks. The latte menu had a few interesting flavors I'd like to try out the next time I go. There are a few breakfast items also. Along with their awesome cronuts, they have keto, vegan, and gluten free doughnuts for those on special diets as well as doggie doughnuts. The only thing that bums me out about this place is the location; it's not on my way to work. It's a personal problem I know and by no means and in any way Parlor's fault. So, I searched the area for my cheat day donuts and Parlor Doughnuts made the short list....ultimately, I ended up here. It's a little over an hr drive for me, but that was part of the process. It was mid morning by the time I got there and I was very pleasantly surprised to see the availability + presentation of the doughnuts. Discussed with the girl at the counter what the most popular ones were and went with a box of 4 + a hole. These things did not disappoint. They are different being the layered style, but they are very good. The donuts are made from a croissant base, giving a layered texture and different kind of airiness from their usual donut counterparts. This is a new donut shop here in Lake Worth and I'm so glad. The donuts here are amazing, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and not overly sweet, finally somebody gets it. There are a lot of interesting flavors to choose from like maple bacon, French toast, bourbon bacon, and strawberry shortcake just to name a few. One of my favorite doughnut shops in the USA! I experienced these first in Destin, Florida and was ecstatic to see them open only a few miles from my house in Lake Worth, TX. This doughnut shop is inviting with some of the most decadent doughnuts around. They have "layered" or croissant doughnuts, which are flaky yet rich. Not only do they come in a normal configuration, but also gluten free and keto variations. My fiancé was in Saginaw this morning and agreed to go a bit out of his way to grab some breakfast before heading home. He said the person helping him told him that the doggie doughnuts have sold out early every day, so our pups had to do without. I had the avocado toast and he had the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich.
