3 years living in Clarksville, and I had never heard of this place. Passed by it plenty, but the outside doesn't real standout (there's a carwash right beside it with similar colors, so it's kind of disguises it). But once you go in, this is a nice, quaint spot. Whether you go alone or with your partner, or friends; you'll love the homely, diner feel and staff being super pleasant. The layered donut selections come in either sweet or savory, and all seem like something I'll end up trying eventually. What I had was super delicious, and never thought buffalo chicken on a donut was a thing, but I'm thankful for whoever came up with it. With locations in Nashville as well, you'd be doing a major disservice by not checking this place out. read more

Pros and cons... I wish we got to try their savory doughnuts Their actual doughnuts are very good! The *maple bacon* was fantastic. This place does Their doughnuts unlike your traditional shop. It's light and fluffy, very similar to a croissant. A welcomed change I will admit. The *bacon egg and cheese* I was disappointed by. Be warned, it says on the menu "on an unglazed doughnut" (its really just a croissant). The fact that this sandwich has colby jack cheese on it made my sunny morning turn bland and flavorless. No breakfast sandwich should have colby jack on it. It has NO flavor. Swap it with American and thats instantly a better sandwich. *Sausage and egg biscuit* was very good with the fig jam. I wish it was bigger, portion size was pretty small on this one. The baristas made a little oopsies on our coffee and forgot the splash of oatmilk we requested in our *Honey Cinnamon Cold Brew*. I got there. They had two donuts. There was an excuse, OK. I ordered a mug of drip coffee with my meal, none was delivered. Once I was finished eating, I asked if I could have my coffee, she pours the coffee to the very edge, no room for cream and sugar. I said I would like to put the cream and sugar in myself, she hands it to me and it's off-white, that much cream. I then said this is too much cream, and she tells me they were out of coffee. I asked for a refund on my coffee, she didn't know how to give it to me. So I paid for coffee they never delivered, they kept my money, I did not get coffee. This is a management issue, with someone operating the store who lacks the skill set requisite to competently run this operation. read more

After this experience, I will not be returning. What should have been a simple $45+ purchase took 45 minutes and left me extremely frustrated. When I arrived at 9:00 a.m., I ordered at the counter: one dozen, some minis, two hot coffees, and two cold drinks. The staff seemed surprised that I was ordering in person and actually suggested that I should place the order through the app before coming in. It gave the impression they were not prepared to handle an in-store order. The order was repeatedly incorrect. They prepared the wrong drinks, and one cold drink was never made. When I asked about it, they claimed I hadn't paid for it. I had to pull up my phone and show the receipt to prove that I had. The coffee situation was especially frustrating. One of the hot coffees was lukewarm. When I requested a fresh cup, instead of brewing a new one, they took the cup to the back, microwaved it, and poured it into a new cup. They did this three times. They suggested the cream must have cooled it down, but the coffee in question was black. Meanwhile, the other coffee -- which had cream -- was hot. Between the incorrect items, the need to prove payment, the microwaved coffee, and the excessive wait time- never again! read more

So I'm going to start by saying they don't do basic. I'm a creature of habit and went in here looking for a chocolate glazed or I think what's called a "yeast twist" (it looks like a twist and is usually just glazed or cinnamon sugar). So far the maple bacon is the only one I've tried and it took me two sittings to eat( they're big and I can't do too much sweet at once). But looking forward to coconut tomorrow. Parlor Doughnuts has been my favorite donut spot thus far in Tennessee. I'm happy that there are gluten free options here that also taste good and have a nice texture to the donut. The regular donuts are amazing as well! The Blueberry Hill and Strawberry Shortcake are my favorites. Everyone has bad days, that's why this review is coming after several visits/flops. The coffee at Parlor Donuts is consistently solid, it's unfortunate that there isn't an efficient way to grab to-go orders and go. So even though the coffee was good, it needed to be reheated before enjoying. We've been to this place several times, but it seems that it is going downhill. We ordered the coconut crème filled doughnuts and there is hardly any filling at all. We waited nearly ten minutes for these two items to be made and nobody was ahead of us. The kids that are working there seem clueless and less than motivated. I seen this place pop up on my social media so I decided to try them out and see what the hype was about and the hype was real!! Their doughnuts are flaky , interesting and delicious. I feel like if imma eat a doughnut I want something fresh and homemade.. I don't do the typical chain doughnuts if you know what I mean .. they are a waste of calories lol .. the doughnuts put me in mind of a croissant type of texture with a slight sweetness, the toppings added the extra flavoring which is how I prefer my doughnuts. Food and coffee are great, but phew, this place needs better oversight. We've been 5x at this point, and we always go early (like before 8am) on Saturday or Sunday morning. 4/5 times something has been out. Two times, there were no eggs or overnight oats. Four times, it was no cold brew. How is this possible first thing in the morning on a weekend at a donut shop? Also, The employees are always very nice, but they are super young and treat the job like a social gathering. We'll be the only people in the shop, but it will take 10min to get our coffees because the employees are all chatting and goofing off. This location needs a manager (or a better manager, if there is one). It has so much potential! Ambiance is great, and again, food and coffee are awesome! read more

I've been to Parlor a few times and the staff is always helpful. I appreciate the fact they offer a gluten free/vegan donut and they say you can have it almost any flavor displayed in the case. They do some kind of voodoo in the back and bring it out to you. What I have figured out is that it is the same cake donut and they add the icing when you order. It all tastes the same and is way too sweet so last time I asked for a chocolate drizzle on my GF donut and it was perfect! Their coffee is good too and they have coconut milk as a nondairy option.
