the lodi card room has a great variety of food and is always a hit. pretty much anything on the menu is sure to be yummy. the staff is friendly and the chef even came out and made bananas fosters table side for the birthday we were celebrating, free of charge and without even having to ask. that was awesome and he talked us through every step of the process while chit chatting about life. it was great and great, friendly service! the asian food section is especially notable and we are always so impressed! everyone enjoyed their meals and had great things to say. andy got the chicken ranch sandwich (not pictured) and was the only one who didn't love their meal. he said it was good, but just mediocre and not amazing. the cajun chicken pasta (first slide) was creamy with a hint of spice. the fried prawns and chow mein (second slide) was flavorful and perfectly fried. the chicken alfredo (third slide) was nostalgic and creamy. the pho (fourth slide) had great broth and is always a go to! the fish and chips (fifth slide) had great flavor in the batter and was super fresh. we also got mozzarella sticks and fried zucchini which came out piping hot and had tons of flavors. this place also always gives great portions for the price so you get a lot of bang for your buck! read more

It's been a few years since I've been to this restaurant. Because of Covid, I believe this restaurant wasn't available for quite a while, or had a very limited menu and honestly I forgot about it. Welp I was browsing restaurants that are open late in the area and came across Parkwest casino and it all came back to me very quickly. I knew I had to come here so I did. After all, I remember absolutely loving the chicken fried steak. I thought about trying something different, but in the end after reviewing the entire menu and browsing the recent pictures I decided to go with the same as I always had before, the chicken fried steak. I haven't tried it yet, it looks amazing, maybe a little different. But not is a bad way at all. Maybe the breading changed or the crumbs crushed more today then usual. I remember before it was obviously made with crushed saltine crackers. Maybe it still is, I need to eat so I can give a complete review that I'm sure about and stop trying to guess what it is. The mashed potatoes and veggies look the same. The gravy also is the same, which I always ask to have on the side instead of on top so my meat doesn't get soggy and I can warm it up if need be in my toaster oven when I get home. Soggy chicken fried steak just doesn't sound so good to me. Besides the food the only other thing that I can comment on is the server because I didn't really experienced anything else today. I don't know his name, but he was very friendly. I hadn't seen him here back when I was coming before, so I'm not sure if maybe he's new, new to me anyways. I forgot my receipt so I can't even look for his name that way, which is too bad because he definitely is worth acknowledging because he was very friendly and helpful. I was a bit unsure of what I wanted to order at 1st and he didn't get annoyed with my questions. The food was prepared fast, I think I was the only person there at that time though so it was as expected. The pictures really don't do much for explaining how delicious the food is. It's fresh, seems to be good quality ingredients and the veggies aren't frozen veggies that were steamed. I tasted the gravy quickly before writing this review and oh my goodness it's so amazing. I can honestly say I've never had anything even close to this good before. Anyways I hope you will try this restaurant as well because you'll be happy you did! Did I mention the hours they're open. Really good food. My husband had the shrimp pasta and I ordered the chicken pho. My pho had so much chicken, I ended up bringing half of it home. 1st visit was just ok. Ambiance is nice, a little dark as you sit closer to kitchen. The bar seating is bigger and brighter than the restaurant seating. Husband had the Lockeford Sausage sandwich, they could choice about better bread for the sandwich but it was good as well. 2nd visit, I had the New York Steak, garlic mash and vegetables, very delicious and not overly expensive. Asked for well done and I got medium well steak ‍. Dinner was great, proportion sized, no left overs to take home. Waiter and waitress on both visitation were intentional with their service. I don't like that the staff don't have their own entrance. ALL of them walk right by as you're eating or waiting to be served from coming in, leaving or on their break. Nah dude, this place is lacking. The staff seems friendly enough but not paying attention. Went with my family (5) seated ourselves was only offered water didn't get offered anything to drink otherwise. My grandmother has to ask for her glass of wine three separate times. The prices of the dishes that were served should be half of what they were listed as. $38 rib eye ordered as medium well was served burnt and well over. The French dip was drenched in salt. If you're ordering anything fried it's fine but what isn't better fried? Also seems odd to do employee meetings in the dining room next to paying customers but maybe not. Absolutely awesome - we had a blast. Fantastic servers, very friendly and helpful staff. We felt welcomed from the start. Bartenders were super. Drinks were great. Let me start this off by saying that the only reason I'm giving four stars is because of the ambience in the restaurant. For the price of the food, I would like it to be a little more, shall I say, upscale. That being said, the food is amazing. The menu is a little bit outlandish because they try to put a lot of different ethnicity's food on the menu. They touch on American, Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese. Still trying to figure out why Pho is on the menu, but after trying the prime rib, I might just have to give it a shot! Lol... The cold nights are perfect for a hot steamy bowl of Pho! Anyways, the prime rib was cooked to perfection and the vegetables and mashed potatoes were pretty on point. The chicken wings are fire! I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food here. It makes me not feel so bad that the casino took my money! I really wish I had thought to take a picture before I dove in to my meal! Oh, onion rings are not on the menu, but they do have them and I highly recommend them! Wow... Never have I ever been so disappointed in service or lack there of. We walked in.. 20 minutes ago, never were greeted as it is a "seat yourself" atmosphere. A Cronkitey old couple came in right behind us.. And were waiting as long as we were as they came behind us.. 2 disappointments. When the server went up to them first, the old couple should have let them know we were first.. However the fact of the matter is the server didn't know.. And should have greeted both of our tables to see who was indeed first. I have introduced a lot of people to the restaurant because the food has always been good.. Me and the wife have made this our frequent stop for sunday brunch. they have a good variety of choices and it never disappoints. Once in a great while we might wait just a little too long to get our menus but service is usually fast after that. I'm writing a review based on the food here. I have only gambled once here but have ordered food here LATE nights many times!!! Large portions for a great price!! I discovered their kitchen a few months ago and have made this place my official go-to for late night cravings whether it be to go or dine in, because they cook to order and fast fresh food! I love how fast they are when I order to go, ready in 20 minutes. My most favorite dish is the Pork Chop $10 comes with two large pieces grilled, steamed rice, veggies, sauce, and a side of pho soup.
