There's no technique (even though they claim they are licensed as massage therapists). There's no understanding of anatomy. Just repetitive movements over and over and over. Want deep tissue? That just means "press harder" in chinese massage. No technique. No understanding. Will it help? Sure, some. Is it worth the price. Nope. Are these trained professionals? Nope. This is basically the wild, wild west of massage. If you go, be prepared to have the silver surfer surfing all over your back, butt, and legs. Oh, and you won't have a sheet anywhere--they just peel it off leaving you fully exposed. Do yourself a favor and go to a real trained and licensed massage therapist. This place is not worth your time or your (big chunk of) money.

Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by the calming aromatic scents, the clean and inviting ambiance, and the sweet receptionist, Misha. Misha was polite, friendly, and very informative, which made for a great first impression. In the treatment room, I was given clear instructions on how everything would work. I started with the Hydro-Vichy shower--such an interesting and unique experience! It's a warm shower with at least five shower heads providing firm pressure over your entire body (except your face). The treatment began with a full-body cleanse, followed by a gentle exfoliation, and ended with a refreshing rinse. Afterward, I received a massage from Lynn, and wow, she truly worked magic! Her medium pressure was perfect, and she was attentive, thorough, and incredibly kind throughout the session. Definitely recommend her--10/10! Overall, it was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. I'll definitely be back. Thank you, Massage Felax & Spa, for such an enjoyable visit!

I was looking for…read morea place nearby that took walk-ins, did full-body massages, and (hopefully) wouldn't require this introvert to talk too much. A friend recommended Joy Foot. I walked in and asked the receptionist if they could take me as a walk-in. She said yes and asked me which massage of the ones listed (with prices) on a big sign on the front of the reception desk. I chose the $85 90-minute combo, which was a 30-minute foot massage and 60-minute full-body massage. The receptionist immediately led me to a dim room with several stations in it. I sat on the low, broad reclining table that she indicated and took off my shoes and rolled up my pant legs. Within a minute, an older gentleman came in with the water for the foot massage. I laid back, he covered my arms with a thin towel and my eyes with a washcloth. Gentle piano music was playing. I had never had a foot massage before, and now I'll be getting them regularly. It was absolutely fantastic and so relaxing. When it was complete, he removed the washcloth from my eyes, said that it was time for the full massage, and left the room. I'm hard-of-hearing, so I didn't actually hear what he said and wasn't sure what to do. I looked at one of the other masseuses and asked if I should follow him, and she nodded yes. I gathered my things and walked out into the hallway outside the room. The receptionist and my masseuse found me immediately and showed me to the private room where I'd have my full-body massage. Again, the lighting was dim, and nice piano music was playing. He left the room so I could undress and get face-down under the sheet on the massage table. After a minute, he returned, and I got a fantastic massage for 60-minutes. When it was over, he removed the washcloth from my eyes and let me know. He then left the room so o could get dressed. When I returned to the lobby, he was waiting for me with a cup of water. Everyone was very nice and spoke very little, which was PERFECT for me. Small talk is exhausting to me, and all I wanted to do was relax. I got what I wanted! I had known I wanted a massage. I hadn't realized how much I needed it. I walked out of Joy Foot with all my aches, pains, and tensions relieved. I'm a fan, and will definitely be returning regularly.

My weekly chiropractic visits weren't getting the job done, so, on the recommendation of my chiropractor, I searched for a massage therapist in the Addison area that had sports massage expertise. Having searched the Yelp ratings in the area, I chose Relax & Heal Massage. I called Michelle and was fortunate to get a next day appointment. She was very professional, patient, and knowledgeable explaining the differences in techniques. Once she began to work my arms and wrists, I immediately felt the tension released and experienced a great sense of relief. After a solid hour of upper body work, I got dressed and could feel an incredible difference in the way I felt. Michelle has an awesome gift of managed strength with control, coupled with technique and the gentlest disposition. I have been to several massage therapists over the years, but none could hold a candle to the care and treatment I received at Relax & Heal Massage by Michelle. She is worthy of your consideration and I highly recommend her.
