Luckily Platinum understood my situation and made time for me same day. The receptionist was very friendly, the office manager was very communicative and helpful, and the hygienist was especially great. The office manager recommended a flush and routine cleaning. Unfortunately, the clinical experience was disappointing. The X-rays were grainy with overlap, making them difficult to interpret clearly. Despite this, Dr. Miller stated I "clearly" had an infection and relied on an AI overlay that changed the appearance of the image rather than pointing to definitive findings on the original image. Most concerning, no clinical exam of the tooth was performed--no instruments were used. Additionally, the X-rays were taken by a dental assistant who stated she did not complete an xray course and being a DA (dental assistant) rather than an RDA (registered) raises concerns about compliance with Utah regulations. (Requirement for X-rays- To legally take dental X-rays in Utah, a dental assistant must complete one of the following: * A board-approved dental radiology course, OR * A CODA-accredited dental assisting program, OR * Pass the DANB Radiation Health & Safety (RHS) exam ) Turned out when I got a second opinion it was a gingival abscess which doesn't usually show up on X-rays and is easily treated compared to a periapical infection which would need a root canal or extraction. The dentist could have discovered this by looking inside my mouth rather than relying on technology alone! Overall, while I appreciated the prompt scheduling, I did not feel confident in the diagnostic process or care provided. As a dental hygienist of over 15 years, I was shocked that this office feels it is serving its patients well without doing an oral exam. I would NOT recommend this office.

Que the music to Gilligan's Island…read more I'd like to tell you a little story that started about a year ago with Dr. Plumb. I was diagnosed with cancer in late May of 2019. After completing all the test that I needed to have done, I was getting ready to start my treatment when they dropped a bomb on me telling me that I needed to be cleared by a dentist who is knowledgeable in cancer treatment. Until I stumbled onto Dr. Plumb, the next closest I could find was in Las Vegas. I had surgery scheduled for a week later and was to start Chemo and Radiation the week after that. I was under a huge time constraint. What a godsend in finding Dr Plumb. When he found out the time constraint I was under and why he said that we'd get it done, it didn't matter if he had to come in early or stay late. That day we did half my mouth and the next day we did the other. After he completed all the work, he give me a release for treatment and I was ready to go. I started my treatment as schedule the next week. Now here we are a year later and because of the cancer treatments I went through my teeth are worse off than before. But that's why they wanted my teeth in excellent shape before we started the treatment. They expected this kind of damage. It was to the point that cold and sweets were like someone driving an icepick through my teeth. About a month ago I went in had my teeth cleaned and evaluated for the repairs. Dr Plumb came up with a plan and told me we could implement it however I wanted. Just yesterday I went in and started the repairs. We got half my mouth done and just as soon as I can schedule the time I'll complete the rest of the repairs. My whole point to this story is to show Dr Plumb's skill, compassion, and his willingness to go that extra mile to help his patients. Because of the way we were treated my wife has even changed over to Dr Plumb. Dealing with everyone at doctor plumb's is like being a part of his family. We enjoy life and having fun; his staff seems to be the same way. Whenever my wife and I go in we laugh, joke and kid around with everyone and they give it right back to us. This is one of the reasons why we love Dr Plumb and his staff. You can also tell that the staff loves working for Dr Plumb just by the way they act and the interaction between them and Dr Plumb. Dr Plumb has tremendous skill and talent and we will continue to be a follower and patients.

I had some X-ray done on my teeth and it showed I had an abscessed tooth which I already knew. After numbing me up real good the so called dentist pulled the wrong tooth and was going to send me on my way. After communicating with him the mistake he was going to put me off for a couple of weeks. I was desperate and wasn't going for it so the so called dentist (Workman) agreed to pull the correct one (excruciating pain) so all was well except I guess the loss of a perfectly good tooth. (Sarcasm) So I figured they would make it right in the follow up visit. Well the follow up visit was just a consultation+ they wanted a $1000.00 retainer I guess you would call it. I still had in mind affordable/ not! Come to find out it was a $50,000 job they wanted to do. I told them that wasn't going to happen and they re- worked there figures and came up with $30,000. I was going to go ahead until I did some homework and found out they were way overcharging for what they were going to do. When I tried to back out they kept my $1000 and good tooth they pulled. I feel I should get a refund and the lose of a perfectly good tooth. I am considering legal action and would just hope they would do what is right and refund my $1000 + $500 or so for the lose of my good tooth and and the money they charged me for mistakenly pulling it. Warning! Don't trust your teeth or your pocket book with this so called affordable dental practice.

My dentist, Dr Wade...is phenomenal. He is an excellent dentist. He listens and answers questions. He is kind...constantly asking if I'm ok. I was treated by all the dentist in that group. Each was likable, Each was concerned and sincerely interested in listening to me. On a personal note.. My daughter passed away. I needed some dental work done before I left for South Carolina for her funeral. They got me right in. I struggled to keep my grief in check. When Dr Wade was done, he brought in several of the staff who gave me a sympathy card and a lovely plant ... in a gorgeous vase. At that point, I broke down only to be lovingly comforted by everyone in the room. This happened three years ago. I still have the card. I have the plant. That plant has grown huge. It's beautiful. When we have left our home for extended periods of time, I've always arranged for this plant to be cared for. Their incredible concern and compassion was a precious moment and memory. I think of young Dr Wade, who treated me like he would his mother. I have the highest respect for this dental group.

Made an appointment for a weight loss medication. It's one I've used before so I was very familiar…read morewith the protocol, however, was still charged a $99 "consultation" fee. The medication was quoted on the phone as $200 but I was charged $350 because I am "not a member". This difference was not disclosed when I called to get pricing. My consultation included really nothing very professional since I knew everything about the process. I was given a vile and syringes and went home. I realized I wasn't 100% sure of the dosage so I texted and was given that information. I followed their instructions to the letter and very quickly realized that the vile was absolutely not going to last 28 days so I made a follow-up appointment to chat about this. I was told by the PA that "we don't prescribe this very often so the nurses get confused as to what the dosage is". Seriously? Turns out I was instructed to take more than double what I should have, which is why I was running out prematurely. She offered me additional doses for $100, which I declined and requested I get what I have already paid for. What I ultimately agreed to do was a reduction in dosage and hope that what will get me through the end of the protocol. The PA basically drastically reduced my dose so as not to have to give me additional medication. Anyone prescribing a medication needs to fully understand everything about that medication so that the patient gets appropriate treatment. This facility does not provide that kind of professional care. They're probably great for a massage or other non-invasive treatments, but I would absolutely not trust them to dispense medication and accurate instructions.
