I had a very unpleasant exchange with the person at the front desk on Gay. I brought in a bunch of wire hangers - from clothes Parkway dry cleaned - and was told to correctly sort them and put them where they are supposed to go. Even told me they would not take one of them - from clothes they dry cleaned. Told me it was my responsibility to do it right, and actually started getting aggressive with me over it. I'm a customer! Our house has been using Parkway for years. I really resented the way I was treated! Hello all you consumers - PARKWAY recycles and reuses the wire hangers they give us and we return. Sorting the hangers is a courtesy, not an obligation. As a customer, I do it begrugingly but it is NOT my job. We are not paid to their work. I suggest management have a talk with their help so they understand the relationship: we consumers/customers pay Parkway for a service. We assist them to be responsible in the community by bringing back plastic and hangers. It is not our job to sort them. That's a courtesy. Period. read more

Hello: I merely wanted to take a moment to provide feedback around your employee "Roger". This is a new location for me as I transplanted from the Hershey Mill Boot Road location and since that location closed I have been bringing my clothing to the Gay street location. The moment I started bringing my clothing to this location "Roger" was the first person I came into contact with and he was very courteous, professional and extremely helpful with my requests and needs. I have now been using this gay street location for over two years now and I cannot be happier with the entire staff. The moment I arrive to either drop off or pick up my clothing and Roger is working, I never have to give him my phone number as he knows who I am and takes AMAZING care of me. This should seem like something that is normal for customer service but it's rare with a lot of places who either DO NOT have the capacity to train and educate their staff on what "Great" customer service should be or do not have enough people who know how to offer this type of service to their customers and clients. Brought a piece of drapery in for repair. Was told I would receive a text when ready. After 2 weeks no text and out of sight out of mind. 5 months later returned to pick item up and was told after 3 months they throw items out. Manager came out and said we tried to call you multiple times - I replied I received no text and no voicemails. With all the spam calls if I don't recognize number or your not i contact I don't answer. Value to replace item $367. Very disappointed. read more

Love this place! Very reliable. As someone who worked at a drycleaner for years, I can tell they run this place well. I LOVE the signs out front. Unique touch. Speaking on alterations: I recently needed to have length taken off a pair of pants where the stitching was gold and the fabric was white. Decided to give them a try since it was conveniently located on the way in to work for me. Drop off was relatively smooth but I was only given a slip with number of items and no price so alarm bells should have been going off in my head. A few days later I stop back in to pickup and lo and behold there were 2 additional items that weren't mine added to the bill and one of the bags. It took a little bit to get it sorted out and only one out of the 5 apathetic employees seemed to be able to help and not be fixated on their phones or playing around in the office. Once the extra items got removed I was hit with the price and it was easily 20-30% more expensive compared to other local dry cleaners. Today I put on a sweater that I picked up that day and noticed a large and a small hole/rip.Not good and I posted a picture for proof. Needless to say I won't be a returning customer. read more

I have been extremely happy with the service at Parkway. The turnaround is quick. I am there frequently and I have never been disappointed.

Parkway Cleaners is the very worst. Besides random, limited hours, they have lost 3 cashmere sweaters. The story changes each time I talk with someone, totally rude voice mail left last week, and a variety of excuses. I finally lost it in the store after getting more excuses, and was told they would call Police if I came back in. Was told they would look for my lost sweaters in the "Orphan bin" tomorrow. I agree with the other recent post about Parkway Cleaners. The business and ownership is horrible this location has to be their worst. Let me be specific. I picked up my shirts on Tuesday May 3 2017. Along with my shirts, was a tie that was not mine, I noticed the error walking to my car. I returned to the store 30 seconds later they would not give me a refund or credit. I should have called the police for theft. I had to return the next morning, as asked, and they would only give me store credit, The place is filthy, but there is no shortage of apathetic.teenagers from Henderson The other incident: they punched a hole in one of my Brooks Brothers shirts, when I went to pick up, a claim form was attached. I submitted the claim form 6 weeks a ago--and apparently it has been lost by Parkway. Now they want me produce the shirt, that they returned to me..which has already been discarded. I only wanted $40 the shirt cost $80--I wanted to be reasonable...Now they are torturing me over the refund. In closing, you just have to avoid this place, you must save your receipts because all your stuff is just not coming back..and they just don't care. Like most of my other posts..it's the not caring, that I can't abide. 5-9-2017 No response from the owner. It has been 4 days, they said he would call back in 2 days. 6-9-2017 No response. Shabby stores. Not sure what is going on but the service has been washed away. Over the past few years, they took away 24-hour service, which was the main reason I used Parkway, regardless of their prices being higher than others in the area. I gave them my all my business for the times I needed a shirt certain piece of clothing turned around quickly. I most recently went in to drop a shirt off on a Saturday and requested to be picked up by 8a on a Tuesday. The counter person said they couldn't guarantee this. Will not be returning. read more

Lost a pair of my husbands suit pants, and they have not responded to emails, phone calls or messages.

So. We have been coming here for years. Family owned for long time. Sold a few years ago. It shows. Store on gay street is filthy. Floors have not been cleaned in months. Crap all over counters. Behind the counter is worse. When a place of business is so dirty I wonder how the rest of the operation runs. Dust bunnies in corners of store. The size of a cat ! Turnover is constant. My rating is a zero. I have been a customer for 20 years. Even though I moved out of West Chester I continued to go to this dry cleaner. They were a family business that cared. Recently I took a $150 silk Vineyard Vines blouse there and it came back with holes, black markets and white stains. Also white swirls. Ruined! I brought it back and they refused to do anything, because I took it home before I saw it they were not responsible. I have been a loyal customer and to accuse me of lying it just unacceptable. And to boot they were rude and short with me. What a shame, a family business that spent years caring and providing great service. Now their name is ruined by the new owners. read more

I'm giving this place a one-star review finally because I have never ever been able to get in when they're supposed to be open. I've shown up plenty of times at 7 a.m. one is there. I've waited till 15 minutes after 7 and no one is there. When I've mentioned this to the people who work there, they've blown me off like it's not a big deal. I just tried to pick my stuff up but they had already closed. I get it they want to go home but it still before 7 when they close. There were plenty of people in there just staring at me making faces like "Sorry, too bad." They're not getting any more of my business. I will find another dry cleaner in this area. read more

Customer for three years and I will not go back. Do yourself a favor, if you are looking for a quality dry cleaner, don't go here. Specifically, this location is horrid, dirty and staffed with apathetic teens who often close the store 10 mins early when they want to get out early. Lost $100s of clothes with not so much as a call back each time I complained - the manager was never there when I stopped in... Such a shame, this used to be the 'go to' cleaner in West Chester back in the day, a change in management and a total disregard for customers has it on a downward spiral. Even though they come to my work location and pick up and drop off, I will never trust them with my clothes again, please re-consider using this place, there are other great places around West Chester. read more

My family and I have used Parkway for decades, but they just lost my business for good. I have typically been a cash customer, especially for family owned businesses. I recently went to pickup my clothes and discovered that Parkway now has a "no change" policy. Meaning, if you owe $49.50 and pay with a $50 bill, they will not give you your $.50 change. Really? This may be totally legal, but just feels wrong and dishonest to me. If you want to run a business and accept cash, then you should be able to provide your customers with their own change back. I'm taking my business elsewhere and will be sure to let others know of this "policy" as well. read more

We have been customers of Parkway Cleaners for 10 years, I have noticed a change in the customer service over the last year or so-it started with little signs, 'we aren't responsible for damage or lost items,' 'we aren't responsible if stains don't come out,' 'we aren't responsible for items left longer than 30 days,' 'we don't accept hanger's for recycling,' and my favorite 'we don't accept winter coats for donation any longer.' Today, was the last straw when we received a hostile voicemail from the management of the Hershey Mills Parkway, telling us that if we did not limit our bag drop off to 15 items, we would be 'removed from the program.' First, I didn't realize we were in a 'program' we just enjoyed the ability to drop off our clothes without a long check in. When I went in today to pick up what will be our last order with Parkway, the woman who left the message said she apologized, and that she was irritated when the girl who check in the bag called her and said 'Well, he did it again and dropped over 30 items in the bag.' Now rather than saying to yourself, 'this is a high volume customer who consistently drops off 30 items at a time, perhaps we should find a better solution for this valued customer' instead, you call the customer telling them to limit their items to 15......yes, this makes perfect sense....I'm glad business is so good that you want to limit how much your customers spend in your store. I will drive by two Parkway Cleaners on my way to Parisian Cleaners to see if they don't mind my excessive dry cleaning orders. read more
