My husband had been a 20 year patient of Dr Bastible. He became quite ill; lethargic, severe swelling, hoarseness, confusion. She kept telling me he was a "conundrum". We finally went to Roswell and received diagnosis.... AL Amyloidosis with multiple myeloma. Although he began infusions he died 3 months later because his heart and kidneys had already sustained too much damage. She really should retire or keep up on her continuing medical education studies. read more

Normally experience is ok-ish but is it really a great idea to have gun nut magazines on prominent display in the exam room?? Maybe whoever runs the office is into "Rifleshooter" and "Shooting" or whatever but seems a strange choice for a place where people may be seeking referrals for mental health, depression , etc. Dont think I'll be back. read more

Dr. Bastible is a wonderful dr . she not only takes time with you and listens to your needs and concerns, she treats you like you are a friend. Located in a tiny office off Lossom, the parking usually sucks and you may need to park at the McDonald's or Tim Hortons on front and walk over. I'm always the youngest one in the office by about 20 years but most patients are significantly older than that. The receptionist staff always seem so irritated that they have to work but I love my nurse practitioner and doctor so I keep coming back. I wish the location was different, there too many businesses in that tiny lot. read more

On January 24th 2020 I was seen by Dr. Deidre Bastible for a well visit. I was and also treated by her nurse assistants Nancy and Carrie. I have been with Parkview for years. I've introduced my wife, daughters and many other family members to their excellent service. I've always received attentive, concerned and first rate service particularly from Dr. Bastible. The staff here is either grossly incompetent or doesn't give a rats behind about the patient. Unreturned calls and then when you finally speak to what is deemed a human being, you get grief as though their cluelessness is your problem. I quit this practice a few years ago and am urging my husband to do the same. While he likes the doctor, at this point the bs you have to deal with staff wise is unacceptable. read more

I would not recommend anyone to be seen by this practice. The staff is very rude, especially over the phone. The doctors and nurses do not care to listen to their patients and hear what symptoms are being experienced - they are quick to prescribe medicine without understanding the full scope of the diagnosis. They do not ask about your lifestyle (diet, exercise, current stresses) which all are very important factors when it comes to health. Please don't waste your time by coming to this Practice. My first visit with him was in October with Dr. Kavcic. I wanted a different doctor in Parkview Primary but he was the only one taking new patients. I'm a kidney transplant patient do to high blood pressure so I have to monitor my blood pressure because it can go out of control! I told doctor Kavcic all I needed was a refill of my old blood pressure medication but instead he insisted on changing it even though it was working fine. The new medication did nothing and my blood pressure went up to an average of 150/90 so I called his office to make an emergency visit because I was scared I was going to lose my transplant! His office told me I couldn't come in until I payed 100$ that I owed them. (They messed up my insurance and I should have owed nothing but I didn't have time to argue with them so I payed it). When I saw doctor Kavcic he told me I didn't know how to take blood pressure and I was wrong! I told him my blood pressure went down because I took old blood pressure medication so I could keep my transplant! He didn't believe me and told me 150/90 IS NOT HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE! Yep, that's what he said over and over several times! I went to nursing school and did home hemodialysis for several years 150/90 is stage 2 hyper blood pressure and a person is in danger of a stroke or organ damage! According to the Mayo Clinic blood pressure this high is an emergency situation that requires urgent medical care which is why I took old blood pressure medication after reading of 150/90 and higher for a month! Please consider a different doctor that cares about your health! I'm really not sure why on several occasions Dr. Kavcic insisted I could not use and automatic blood pressure machine and said I was lying about my blood pressure even though it's in my medical history and is the reason for my transplant! This is a dangerous game he's playing with human life I pray he doesn't kill someone! read more

My wife and I switched to Parkview because she knew a pa from her old doctor. After her old doctor dropped her, she was looking where her old pa went because she knows her history. So we made an appointment to see her. She said that your doctor would be Dr. Hendricks. My wife needs to monitor her pt inr levels because she is on warfan and she was using a machine that she can do it at home. The monitors today are real accurate these days, he doesn't believe in using the portable machine. It's not something he believes in. Told my wife to get rid of it and have lincare pick it up. He had a home care nurse come and take her blood each week. That company is no better than Parkview employees. They are rude sometimes call and say that they would be at the house at a certain time and never show up to take her blood. They would not come at our convenience, dr. Hendricks tells her that we need to be available at any day and time for them to come out. My wife had to cancel her follow up appointment due to a family matter and just today she gets a register letter that they will be dropping her on December 27th. And that she needs to find a new doctor. We did find a new doctor that will take her and after her first appointment she will be able to call lincare to get her pt rni machine to test her blood at home without the home nurse coming out to stabbing her veins. If your looking for new doctor I highly recommend to keep looking for a doctor that you feel comfortable with and don't settle for a doctor that doesn't care about her health. Like Parkview doctors don't care about you, their out just to get your money from you and don't want listen too you. read more

If I could give this practice a 0 star rating I would. Not only does the office staff blatantly lie, their message states that they will call back at their convenience. After several attempts to speak with someone, I filed a complaint with BCBC. They lied about returning calls. I was diagnosed with cancer in September 2016 and NEVER heard from the primary. I called to speak with the PA,whom I had a great relationship with in September. I was told I could not speak with her and if I wanted an appointment it had to be with the PCP. When the PA went looking in December I heard from her. It's too bad that the PA my family had been seeing for years ended up here. Dr Kavcic sucks as a PCP and the office staff is on par. read more

If I could give this office less than 1 star, I would. This office is absolutely terrible. I called to set up a new patient appointment and they couldn't get me in for 4 months. Even though I knew this was a long time, I said okay fine no big deal and I set up an appointment on the phone. I wrote it down in my planner while I was still on the phone with the woman so I know I did not have the wrong date. When I showed up for my appoint 4 months later, they told me that my appointment was the week before and if I ever want to come back there I would have to pay a $100 no-show fee. I said this was obviously a miscommunication​ and asked politely to waive the fee so I could reschedule my appointment. At this point, I had waited 4 months to see a doctor. I got a call back the next day and all that the lady on the phone said was "The doctor said you have to pay the fee." No apology, just blunt and straight-forward. The people here are completely rude and obviously do not care about working with their patients. Don't use this office as your primary!!! read more

I am on medicare through SSD and I have been at this practice for a couple of years. I would not recommend this practice account the horror stories are true- and I am just finding out. I used to see the doctor once a year and then the NP every six months in between. After my NP left the practice for whatever reason, I have only been seeing the doctor. He recently just changed my visits to annual after not being reimbursed through medicare for his services- he blamed Obamacare. I am worried that he might drop me as a patient because of low reimbursement for medicare, and I do not have a supplemental insurance plan. Even if I did, he doesn't accept them all- like Independent Health's supplemental insurance plan. I recently changed my Part D insurance carrier and started using mail order, and I have been having trouble getting my prescriptions filled accurately and in a timely manner in accordance with using a mail order pharmacy. First, they filled the prescription wrong; next after getting into a debate with CVS and the new insurance about using a pill splitter on a cholesterol medication, I was no longer going to do that. They filled the script, then after a little while I called the mail order pharmacy to see why it was cancelled and according to them someone in the office cancelled the script before it was filled for the new dosage. I sent an email to the office explaining this and they sent a response saying that they filled the script. When I checked the doctor's patient portal, the prescription's dosage had changed but the issuance was empty as though it was cancelled from their office as the mail order pharmacy had indicated. So, the nightmare is just beginning, and only time will tell how long I will stay with this office. I would not recommend this office to anyone, and if you're there then it will only be a matter of time before you have problems with this group of doctors. read more
