I just went through 4 separate phone calls just to set up a wellness visit. They went out of their way to be difficult to work with. First, they demanded my insurance information to even set up the appointment (of course I didn't have my card on me, and no they didn't care that we've been seeing the same doctor for over a decade). Second, they absolutely refused to set up more than 2 appointments at the same time. I'm apparently the first human being to ever have more than one child. Third, they absolutely insisted that only the office staff could help me, but I wasn't allowed to talk to them, so I had to play phone tag between a scheduler, a nurse, and the office staff, taking up over an hour of my time and theirs. This is all just to set up a normal checkup. I fear for the poor unfortunate soul who actually needs medical assistance and gets stuck with these people. read more

So, my wife broke her toe and we went in to the urgent clinic. We had been treated at Parkview before, and had a generally okay experience at best. We got turned away because my new insurance from my work was out of network. I offered to pay out of pocket, but they said that they wouldn't allow me to. My wife had a back procedure on Wednesday morning at the Orthopedic Surgical Center. Doctor John Williams was the attending physician assisted by his staff of professionals. I wish to thank Doctor Williams and his team for the great job they did to help my wife. The nursing staff who attended to my wife's medical needs during the prep phase as well as her overnight stay were absolutely amazing people. Went to the lab Southwest at 7:45 this morning. Needed to ask a question before I checked into the computer and the girl in the middle of desk was not with a patient. She would not make eye contact or even acknowledge the fact, I was even there to talk to her. I had questions about the labs I needed to have done and so I finally gave up, went over and typed my name into have the lab work done. The lab tech called me back shortly after I sat down. I was so happy that she went over what I was having done because there were labs that were missing that I needed to have done. So after looking into the computer, she found them and I was then getting all my lab work done properly. Traci was my lab tech and she was absolutely wonderful, professional, and so gentle with me I applaud her as an employee for Parkview. But, I definitely feel there needs to be some major training with your registration people upfront. I was just very unhappy, and the whole situation was very unprofessional. read more

April 2025, I had a kidney stone with UTI causing a fast moving sepsis blood infection. I attempted to get treatment Mar 18 and Apr 08, 2025, at two other medical facilities. By the time a provider listened and took the UTI seriously, I ended up at the third medical facility which was ParkView (PV) LaGrange, IN, emergency room. The PV LaGrange facility had me transferred in critical condition to PV Fort Wayne immediately. By this time I had been semi-unconscious for days. While at PV Fort Wayne, a UT stint was placed. Today, Sept 05, 2025, that UT stint is still in my body causing me health issues - continuing UTI's, bloody urine with blood clots, pelvic pain, difficulty walking, constant urine incontinence. I was not advised that I had a UT stint at any time. I realized I had a foreign body in my body approximately May 27, 2025, which caused me to ask questions. Suddenly, enter Jordon Trump NP, PV Fort Wayne Cardiac, June 2025. Trump, blocked the removal of the UT stint until I completed a cardiac stress test. On my first visit with Trump, she came in the room and immediately offered me the choice of four different drugs. I asked Trump what she was treating, "I think.....", was her response. "I think isn't a treatable medical condition", I shot back. I refused any type of testing and treatment offered and left the facility - this was first refusal under the Patient Bill of Rights. Trump stated three different times and dates that she medically owns my body and life and I get NO needed medical procedures until I complete her cardiac stress test and other procedures. I took the chemical cardiac stress test due to my inability to walk due to extreme pelvic pain. Trump demanded that I had to complete a cardiac cath, I absolutely refused - second refusal to treat under the Patient Bill of Rights, and demanded my rights to a second opinion by another unrelated medical facility, with a real cardiac medical doctor. The second opinion cardiac doctor ran a non-intrusive CT scan with dye contrast; he approved the removal of the UT stint. That testing was done in Aug 2025. Sept 2025, that UT stint is still inside me, I have another UTI infection, still have difficulty walking, and PV Urology is still refusing to remove the UT stint because my case is under review. PV Urology only wants to provide follow-up office appointments because I have recurring UT infections. This is BS to charge my insurance recurring billing with no positive results, and to charge me a co-pay too. PV Cardiac does not own my body, it is my absolute right to refuse procedures that I disagree with. PV Urology had no issues placing a UT stint in my body when I was in critical condition, at death's door, when my body was shutting down from the sepsis blood infection. But now, I am physically active, mentally alert, regained most of my health, and PV is demanding to perform a cardiac cath before the removal of the UT stint because I might have a cardiac arrest - they had NO problem placing that UT stint when I was at death's door, I received a second opinion that made me understand that this situation is a money grabbing control scheme by PV Cardiac. Trump is a Nurse Practitioner NOT a Cardiac Doctor! Trump does not have exclusive medical rights over my body or past my will. PV Cardiac and PV Urology are being medically negligent. I was treated for a kidney stone, UTI with sepsis blood infection that nearly took my life because of medically incompetent medical staff; unfortunately, they want me to remain in a medically compromised condition of continuing UTI"s because they refuse to remove this UT stint. After care from PV sucks; after care providers are money grubbers and insurance snatchers. read more

Just my opinion ......The staff is for the most part nice & helpful. I have spent a lot of time here. I would give them a 4 star staff wise. This hospital gets a 1 star financially. They are the most expensive hospital we have delt with while providing the least amount of comforts like hair combs, lotions, toothbrushes, etc. Incontinent patients are expected to soil their beds & lay in it till overworked staff finds time to change them. Only the ER seems to provide diapers for Incontinent adults. This is humiliating in my opinion. If generic vs brand name meds do effect you they won't provide the brand name. You must bring in your home supply & turn it over to their pharmacist to verify. That process takes long enough you usually miss a dose or three! Confidence in privacy at this hospital is a different story. If I could give a negative 10 I would. They actively collect every piece of info about you & plaster it on all their documentation. I can't tell you the number of times I could have recorded other people's info that was left lying around. My insurance forces me to use this hospital unless they don't have an appropriate Dr for what is going on. They are rude even feeling obliged to use my middle name whenever they call me. No Mrs. or Ms. I never gave them my SS# yet they have it & it is plastered on the paperwork also. They claim they absolutely need all this info. They don't. It is one thing to have what they need in their system & another to print your info everywhere for anyone to steel & use. This showes true colors of not caring about the people they serve in my opinion. So many other issues we have experienced but I will stop. read more

My mom works at Parkview she is over worked and UNDER paid no respect from anyone she is ignored by everyone has to work three 12 hour shifts in a row she has 2 kids and goes in work at 7:00 everyday she is worked to her bones comes home worked out by more than a lot sometimes crying is not taken care of at all if she wants to take a lunch break however long she takes added on the the end of her shift so over all the job is absolute trash and not a good place with bad leaders if you want to suffer this is the best job for you but she gets through it THIS IS NOT FOR THE WEEK!!!! My husband went to the Er with extreme hip pain. They did a CT and blood work. Sent him home and said he had a torn hip muscle. Told him to follow up with Orthopedic Dr. ASAP. He returned to the ER 8 hrs after getting home. Took them forever to get him in a room even though they couldn't get a blood pressure on him. Once in a room they treated him as though he was a drug addict. My husband died from Necrotizing fasciitis because they didn't do the right test the first time in the ER. They amputated is leg up to the hip, his scrotum, and a quarter of his torso. They began to prep him to remove more of his body and that is when I said no!! They made me kill my husband! On top of all of that they turned me into collectoions after I had already paid my deductible. The only good thing I have to say is that the ICU nurses were amazing! read more

I have hesitated to share this due to my fear of judgment and the concern that I might be seen as just another person wrongfully accused. Last fall, during a mental health crisis, I sought help from Parkview Hospital, but the care I received was nothing short of atrocious. They neglected my medical concerns and treated me as if I were a criminal, failing to meet my needs at every turn. As a result, I made the decision to leave, and there was no "hold" placed on me since I had gone there voluntarily. Once in my vehicle and moving, two security officers barged at me, banging on the windows and shouting for me to get out in a very hostile manner. One even aimed his firearm at me while I was leaving. Three months later, I discovered that the Parkview officers had filed serious criminal charges against me related to the incident. The charges included assault with a deadly weapon and resisting law enforcement, both felonies, as well as reckless driving. These accusations were not only grossly exaggerated but were also filed more than a month after the incident. It seems likely that this delay occurred after Parkview leaders reviewed the event report, which, per company and state policy, was required due to the officer drawing his firearm. I believe this was an attempt to mitigate the liability for the officer's excessive actions. Not only was this situation completely absurd, but Parkview also claimed they had no video footage other than the officers' body cam recordings. However, these recordings clearly show that the officers were not harmed, never at risk, and did not fear for their safety, highlighting their erratic behavior as they approached my vehicle. I walked past not one or two, but five security cameras on my way from the building to my vehicle, all of which would substantiate my calm and normal demeanor. I never uttered a word to them, yet the officers were never held accountable for withholding such crucial evidence. They attempted to ruin my life and career to protect themselves from potential liability regarding their officer drawing his firearm. This not only disgusts me on a personal level but also, from a clinician's perspective, highlights how rarely criminal charges should be filed against a patient. From my experience as a patient, I would never consider seeking mental health treatment from an organization like this again. The trauma I experienced that night at the hospital was already overwhelming, but discovering the charges intensified it tenfold. Ironically, I had been employed by them for four years throughout this ordeal, and they found it unnecessary to alter my status despite portraying me as a dangerous individual. Incredibly disappointed with the treatment received in the ER. Poor patient care. Started out okay, but after swabbing and waiting on results for an hour we called for help to get an IV and they refused saying influenza A can't be helped by anything. But hydration definitely could have helped. Got looked at like we were crazy for needing a medical note. Just all around a nightmare. Nurses were the main issue. We can hear them laughing and talking about alcohol, their personal lives etc. but had to wait 10 minutes when pushing a call light for help. Wild. Do better. We all deserve better. read more

My husband had six months of medical emergencies, including four surgeries and generally his care was good to excellent. Except when it wasn't. Parkview sent this weak man home twice in less than 48 hours, after he had hemorrhaged copious amounts of blood out of an open surgical wound. I mean literally units of blood. One emergency room nurse even laughingly said his bed looked like a crime scene. Haha, NOT funny. They sent him home after repacking the wound in the emergency room. He died two days later. Would he have lived if they had admitted him? I will never know. But, don't be fooled into thinking they actually care about their patients. Six months of care and multiple surgeries and when he died, a single message on My Chart before they deleted his account immediately. Even his personal physician of more than 20 years, not a single word. I suppose they worry about lawsuits, but totally blowing off a grieving family is more suspicious than a simple condolence message. Although I have no complaints about any of doctors at Parkview, the MyChart App is very poorly designed and to make matters much worse we are now going to be required to use two factor authentication meaning you will now have to a code on your phone or some other device to log in even if you know your user name and password. I literally do not care about some hypothetical data breach of test results or appointments. Other personal identification data, Scans, etc. should never be on this portal in the first place. I'm a frequent flier due to an ongoing illness. I absolutely despise coming here and being admitted. There are tons of pros and tons of cons for me the cons outweigh the pros. They have valet which is awesome when you're to sick to walk from the parking lot to the entrance. They offer you a wheelchair if you need one when you walk in. But getting someone to push is is a battle. Half the staff if very nice. The doctors however aren't. They lack communication and they think of reasons to keep you there. The lab team is also a hit or miss with good lab techs and not so good ones. The staff doesn't listen to your needs and they always require extra things needed before you go home. There food is very bland. They have an extensive menu but when you're there fora week or me and frequently it gets Very old. It's like hometown cooking stick to your ribs food. Plus they have limited hours and the food is usually delivered cold. The beds aren't comfortable and you can never rest while you're there. It's hard to get someone to help you go for a walk or use the bathroom etc because they're short staffed and very full with patients. I will say it's better than the Randalia Parkview. And I've never been to the southwest one. Great if you need a quick visit or stay. Long term it so much. read more

I went to the emergency room after the walk-in-clinic told me I had something that I didn't end up having. I was there for about four/five hours and seen by about 6 people with contact for about 10 minutes from nurse/doctors in total. I had an infection in my genital area and was physically examined there by the receptionist, two nurses a doctor and the x ray nurse. I was put in a temorary room with multiple guest and curtains dividing. my curtain wasn't long enough to close around the bed protruding out of the temporary room. multiple guest seen my naked body and heard personal information as there was no privacy. I would like to review the Parkview Walk In Clinic at Liberty Mills and Jefferson Blvd. They gave awesome care. My friend had a broken leg and they had Xrays and read them within minutes. He was taken care of wonderfully and two times the staff said how sorry they were that he sustained this injury, a rare expression of sympathy. They had the boot that was needed--he didnt have to go someplace else to get it. Very fast and professional help. They didnt even mind that he didnt have ID with him. Everything went so smoothly. The only reason the rating is a 2 and not a 1 is because of the two receptionists who were super nice. The other front receptionists at entrance 1 were completely rude and disrespectful. We drive almost 2 hours for a relatives appointment because of a car accident. Dr. Dozier is also very rude. Went down for Fluoroscopy and now we need to go back for a third time so he can "read them better." I was in Parkview for 3 weeks in July of 2018. I had a nurse lie to me and refuse to give me pain meds. I filed a report with the advocate and asked to not let me see that nurse again, but she was in my room the very next day. They claim there was discipline, but couldn't tell me what per confidentiality. They covered it up. There was a doctor I could not understand and I requested him be replaced. Over the course of the last 90 days, I've been to Parkview more than I care to mention. I've had several tests done and encountered several different employees at each building. I can say that outpatient care is more consistent and gracious than the main hospital or the ER. My most positive experiences have been at outpatient care The hospital campus facility is massive, and ever expanding. The main thoroughfare gives detailed explanations, via signage, of where each building is located. It's either feast or famine. You can go and wait in the ER for hours on end, or come in and be assisted immediately. My last visit was due to an auto accident. Someone TBoned me and knocked me around pretty good- always wear a seatbelt- it saved me. My ER visit was quick, almost too quick. I was just in an accident that totaled my car, had the fire department, FWPD, and ambulances on scene, and the staff was like zip boom bah. I didn't need to be catered to, or coddled, but they basically told me "hey you'll be sore and achy" and that was it. While I know they are a for profit organization, a little more concern or a few more minutes of time might be in order. The campus is nice, new, extremely clean, but cold., in more ways than one. read more

I had shoulder surgery December 22nd ,2020. Dr. Michael Lee did the surgery and the results are just great. I did all the physical therapy and kept working out at the gym,but I am so grateful to Dr.Lee and all the doctors and nurses who made my life so much better. We went to the ER at Parkview per instructions from our family doctor. I had had an x-ray of my lungs as I had tested positive for Covid the week before and was having trouble breathing. The x-ray showed Covid Pneumonia in both lungs so our family doctor said I should go to the ER. We got to Parkview ER and they were nice at the desk and said they were cleaning a room for me and it would be a minute. When I got brought to the room, it was FILTHY. There was dust and dirt everywhere on the floor and spots of 'something' by the bed that had not been cleaned in some time. The first doctor came in and spent some time asking me questions and was nice. She pretty much said that our family doctor had overreacted to the x-ray. A second doctor came in and said that, yes, I had Covid lungs, but there is nothing they can do - and that I should be glad because there were other people in the ER right then that had lungs worse than I did!! We did not appreciate the comment. Covid has damaged the lungs of many people we know so it is a legitimate concern. A little more concern and explanation would have gone a long way. Instead he said either my lungs will resolve themselves or they won't. They gave me steroids in an IV and sent me home with a prescription for another week of prednisone. (I requested this from them because our family doctor said that was probably one of the meds they would give me) And the dirty room situation should NEVER happen! read more

My daughter was accused of being on MUSHROOMS by the Parkview ED on August 1 2023. They care she received that night in the ED was terrible. NO testing was done to prove this. She laid in the bed vomiting and confused and even was choking on her vomit. I her mother had to yell for someone to help roll her over. They sent her home at 2a.m. in a hospital gown and blankets. She could hardly walk with 2 nurses and her mother helping. She doesn't remember much of the night. I had a private drug test done a few days later that cost me $600. My daughter told me she didn't do any form of drugs that night or Mushrooms. The test came back NEGATIVE. I talked to a Patient Advocate asking to get the drug off the record and some form of refund for the BAD experience in the emergency room. I was given a $200 discount on my bill. We filed a records correct and waited 90 days and called to see what was going on. They informed us it had been lost. The lady in the record department told us in her years of service this has never happened. We had to filed twice to get this DRUG ABUSE off of her medical records and denied twice. We can file amendment but will never get off her medical record. The CMO even denied it. My daughter went through numerous blood test, MRI AND CT scans and thousands of dollars in medical bills. She has been diagnosed with VIRAL MENINGOENCEPHALITIS by a Neurologist at Parkview. This diagnosis doesn't even matter to them. We are done with PARKVIEW HOSPITAL. I'm writing this review after being denied twice and done fight a battle that can't be won. What the DR's writes in the records are what stands even if misdiagnosed in the Emergency room. read more

My dad was in Fort Wayne visiting family when he went into cardiac arrest and was on life support. I spent my life savings to hop on a same day flight from California with my kids. Once I approved it was to my surprise that only two people were allowed with him and it had to be the same people each time. As his daughter, I contacted the patient advocate and was told that because he is no longer on life support, they are not willing to make an exception for me to see my hospital bed bound father. One day the whole family was allowed to hang out in the lobby, the next day the kids under 18 (also his kids) weren't allowed in the lobby. One day they made a family member exception, the next day there was no exceptions. One desk has a set of rules, the next desk has a different sent of rules. While I understand COVID rules, I don't understand making exceptions in life or death situations. Where is the compassion? read more

You want to get charged double for a flu shot go to Parkview. You get charged the office visit for initial reason you went plus $110 additional and then even more for administering the flu shot on top of that. When I complained they said it was standard practice. Standard practice to rip you off I think! Then they have to gall to say they are not profit! So in December I was terribly sick with Covid, my husband drove me to Parkview to the ER to inquire about getting the infusion. The girl asked if I had Covid, I said I did a home test and it was positive and I just wasnt getting better and my husband thought I should get the infusion. She took my name, then informed as to where I needed to go for the treatment. We left, drove across the street and got right in. While getting the infusion a young man came in and said the treatment is 900.00 today if you pay now it will be 724.00. So... I paid. Now Parkview is sending me a bill for 135.00 MORE!? Weird the young man told me the TOTAL was 724.00. And also (this is the icing on the cake) I got an ER bill for 3400.00????????!!!!!!!!!!! Apparently I am paying the front desk girl over 3,000.00 to give me directions to another building. I am sick over this, how dare a hospital erroneously bill my insurance a charge that is clearly wrong! And since they didn't pay I got the bill. Wow Parkview I hope the billions of dollars you make off of the average patient fraudulently makes you feel good. Here is what I think of Parkview Noble, Parkview North, and Parkview Regional. How about a women WALKS into a Parkview hospital on a Friday afternoon for test to see if she had a mild stroke. Then the hospital says she can't leave because they need an MRI of the brain that can't be done until Monday. Also need to control her blood pressure. Family is told over the phone that she is in no danger of another stroke. On Sunday when the family called to talk to her they discover she is paralyzed on the right side. The family calls the nurses station and asked them if they knew this. They said they would have to check her chart. On Monday she was transferred to another Parkview and then the family is delivered results of cancer in the brain, it was also determined it was in her blood, lungs, lymph nodes, bones, she had a lot of cancer and it was stage 4. The family was never allowed to take her home, to come in and see her, they had 1 zoom meeting in her 30 day stay. Her husband was not allowed to be with her to discuss what was going on with her. She was told she had cancer with her husband on the phone. So here you have a disabled individual who was married 39 years and was not allowed to have her husband to here the most horrible news that she was very ill with cancer and time she has left will be limited. Never were her and her husband allowed to discuss treatments or go home with hospice. The hospital never let them. Many times when the family called she couldn't answer her own phone do to paralysis. The husband begged everyday to see her, she also requested to see her family. She did not have covid, was not in a covid unit. At one time he was told if whoever was posting and making phone calls would stop, then he would be allowed to come in and see her to discuss the outcomes. That never happened. In the 30 days she spent in the hospital she was alone and dying. Parkview never once allowed her husband to come in, not on her 39 wedding anniversary, not to be with her family for those last days, she died alone on the 30th day. The husband was called the day she died to let him know the they had moved her earlier in the day to progressive unit claiming she was having panic attacks. The husband asked about her vitals and told them they needed a cardiologist they said one would come on Monday and this was Sunday. Then the husband received a call that she was not responsive and said he should come. When he was on the 45 min drive the physician called him and asked if she passes do you want us to bring her back he said no as the doctor repeated she had a lot of cancer. When he arrived they did rush him to where she was. No mask, no temperature taking, no questions related to covid, nurses no mask. When he came in the room she was already gone. So the husband stayed till he was ready to go. The nurses and doctors come and go every shift, everyday then travel to stores, churches, wherever they wish to go. Why did a husband have to tell his wife she was going to die and was full of cancer over the phone. She was disabled, short term terminally ill, was not even give her rights for a compassionate visit, or for the required civil rights for disabled individuals to have their caretaker. I'm very anger with Parkview they think it was ok To hold her like a prisoner even when she requested to go home and the husband wanted to bring her home. All the decisions were stripped from both of them. Oh wait it is also a known fact that others were being given visitation and they were adult to adult, and they were not terminal.
