My 4-Star Review for WaveMax Laundry ​I have been coming to…read morethis WaveMax Laundry location off Cobb Parkway near the Big Chicken almost every week on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at midday for months now. While the facility is clean and the staff is wonderful, I am giving this a 4-star review instead of a 5-star because of a frustrating issue with the dryer timers. ​Whenever you open a dryer door to pull a few items out early, the timer keeps ticking down. You end up losing precious minutes that you paid for while the machine is paused. I have mentioned this before, and I really hope the owner can find a way to remedy this so the timer pauses when the door is opened. ​Aside from that issue, the facility itself is great. It is about two years old, filled with excellent new machines, and kept incredibly clean. I also appreciate that when the owner adjusted the dryers to 10 cents a quarter, he lowered the washing machine prices from $5.75 down to $5.00. Another big plus is the late hours, with the last wash at 8:00 PM and closing at 10:00PM ​The absolute best part of this laundromat is the staff. There are three ladies who work here, including Elena, who opens in the morning. They are the heartbeat of this business and work incredibly hard. ​Recently, the owner seems to have secured a new hotel contract because flatbeds and trucks have been arriving loaded down with massive trailers of dirty laundry. Even though their workload has easily tripled, these three women don't skip a beat. They keep the place spotless--constantly wiping down the machines inside and out, cleaning the dryers, and keeping the floors immaculate--all while being warm and friendly to everyday customers. ​Because the laundromat is open from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, these ladies are putting in long, demanding days, with Elena often working past her shift to handle the commercial laundry. I truly hope the owner recognizes their dedication under this heavy new workload and rewards them with a well-deserved raise. They treat this business like it is their own and deserve to be financially appreciated!

Today I drove from Lithia Spgs to Dallas to wash. I walked in, was disgusted, put 1 blanket in the wash, walked out, realized the place was just too nasty, so I went back for my blanket & left. I drove to another Dallas location, did a drive by & left. I eventually landed back in Powder Springs at a laundromat which was larger, quieter, air conditioned & easy to park at. But, their $7 washer is $8.75 or $8.50 using an app. Ugh! I hate this!!! I just want to grab a broom & rag & start cleaning the place while I wait. Prayers to the Austell owners & prayers that you rebuild. We love you guys & the area needs you!!!!!

i prefer this laundromat over any other here in austell its a clean lil place good air n…read moreventilation, its under new management now so they r doing a lil remodeling so, i give luis credit for the way he's keeping the place so clean. i enjoy his kind way, he's very helpful. the machines that work r great(the ones that don't r being replaced), they cause no issues for us tho!! the dryers are wonderful!!! i'm in n out of there no later than an hour n a half n that's cuz i come with like 5/6 loads n they need to b folded n i like doing my wash by myself!!! (thats another thing they offer drop offs, dry cleaning), n more. oh, i almost forgot theres a lil mexican store a couple doors down with a lil restaurant in it, (which makes great... "authentic" food) !!! its an all around win - win- u should come by one of these days (when u have to take ur clothes to the laundromat) trust, u will njoy it!! its peaceful n i like it. okay, u have a blessed day and week!!!

If you are coming early in the morning (7a-9a), between Dunkin Donuts next door, the traffic will get congested. I like the fact you can use your card but if you are considering Apple or Google Pay, it will not work, for now. Look for the note in my pics. The bathrooms were not unlocked during the time I was there. There was no attendant to assist but they are currently looking for someone for all shifts! Time wise: Washing takes 23 mins (cost varies) and dryers 32 mins for $1.50-$2.00 Good place to come and do your laundry. Come see for yourself :)

There's nothing I find impressive about it; it gets the chore done. The standard size washers-some are priced different, and I'm not sure why. The cash to coin converter works. Bonus, they have a laundry drop service. I've never used it but if you are looking for a by-the-pound laundry bag wash/dry service they have it as well as they have a comforter wash/dry service. The only reason I would give this 4 stars is because the rest room was not in any condition to be utilized. There were flys everywhere and the sink was full of cloudy water.
