Park Edge sells it in logs rather than the squares I'm used to seeing. My husband thought the chocolate was a bit thick but I'm under the believe if you're eating chocolate then there's no such thing as too much. Personal taste. We got the dark chocolate and it was excellent, creamy and smooth with a bit of a carmel flavor on the sponge interior. We also purchased some sugar free chocolates which is what I normally eat. Today I tried the peanut butter filled. Lol you don't want to eat too much of that at one sitting. The chocolate was just as good as the regular which is no small feat. They had a big banner hanging out front that said they sold Buffalo's famous sponge candy, so I knew I had to stop in. This small family-owned candy shop looks like it's been a neighborhood staple for years. It's been open since 1947! The sweet older lady at the counter was very welcoming to us as tourists, and even offered plenty of free samples for us to try. Now that I've tried it, I will say that sponge candy isn't my favorite. But we wanted something uniquely Buffalo to take home, and ended up purchasing a few variety bags. They also sell chocolates in pretty little designs and cookies too, all handmade! I couldn't resist a flower-shaped chocolate on a stick, which set me back about $2.50. I enjoyed it on the plane and it was very good chocolate. If you want to support a local business and shop local, Ko-Ed Candies is the place! There's limited street parking and it's located in the middle of a residential neighborhood, so be aware that it may be difficult to find a spot on busy days.

I went there tonight because I saw a picture that somebody posted of a banana ship Sunday and it looked so amazing. I just had to go there and get one for myself. The only problem with that was, my banana ship was so much smaller than the ones in the pictures. Obviously different crews working, they make things differently and the girl tonight just made mine so small. It was really kind of ridiculous and it was $10.00. If you look at the pictures from Hanna's of the banana ships and you look at my picture compared to the other ones, you will notice a big difference. I got completely ripped off. The employee was very nice though she was young cute and just a nice girl. As far as Parking goes now, that's kind of tough. It's a very small parking lot. I think maybe 10 cars could fit in there ,either 8 or 10. I'm not sure. And you have to really watch out cause kids are all over the place and you don't know if there's gonna be one running through the parking lot or not so you just have to really watch out for everybody there. It was very, very busy tonight and understandably, it's a beautiful night and perfect for ice cream. But the line unfortunately goes out towards the street and the main street there is Colvin so that's kind of dangerous for a little kids to be around waiting in line because you know kids can't stand still. They don't have a huge selection of ice cream or sundaes or things, but but they do have does sound good but like I said, it's not very much. Next time I go, I'm going to get probably lemon ice like I used to when I was little or another banana ship and hopefully they make it bigger. What they did make, though it was delicious.
