    Paisley Centre Shoppers Car Park

    Paisley

I used to work in Paisley but I'd never parked at this carpark as I was able to park at the Uni. I…read moreheaded her rather than trying to find on-street parking as I figured it would be quiet handy. It's easily accessible but in the centre of town, so for people new to Paisley you'll have to master the one-way system to get there! I'd say it's a pretty pokey carpark which feels small and cramped, and I worried about hitting the walls going up/down the ramps. It was easy enough to get a spot on a Thursday afternoon though. You take your ticket with you and pay as you leave at the machine on the ground floor. Prices are pretty cheap (especially compared to Glasgow parking priced) - all day for £5 or 3 hours for £2.

A large multi-story car park which I used yesterday. It isn't far from the shopping centre perhaps…read more5 or 10 minutes on foot. I thought it was a bit pricey I was there for 5 hours which cost me £5 rather a shock after Kilmarnock where the car parks are relatively cheap! I found it a little confusing inside as it wasn't always clear which way you could go which were the 'up' ramps and which the 'down'. The machine where one pays on return doesn't take £20 notes or give change so it took me ages to scrape together enough cash! Another thing which annoyed me was that I could only get back via the main entrance/exit there are three or four doors around the outside but they were all locked (probably fire escapes which only open from the inside). I shall try one of the other car parks next time

Well the Paisley centre hardly the new harrods infact hardly the new anything…read more The shopping centre is old and seems very tacky to be fair , their isnt a lot in the shopping centre you have a lot of individual cafes, junk shops, card shops, phone shops, you also have a butchers, fishmongers, fruit & Veg shop, but with the likes of M&S being inside the centre this doesnt help the small businesses much and neitheir does having a morrisons near by. It also has a big Co-operative department shop which i am suprised is even still their if you look at the prices of items in the store. But it does have a nice cafe on the bottom floor and a thorntons and mcdonalds other than this its nothing special. The centre to be fair doesnt have much life even though it is in the centre of paisley. It could be doing with some better shops in their and a bit of life adding to it. But with Braehead being a short distance away i cant see this ever happening. Overall Good Location Poor Atmosphere Poor Selection of Shops Badly Outdated

There's not much in Paisley these days. Braehead pretty much killed busy Saturday's and the fact…read morethat the council still insist on charging for parking on a Saturday means there's unlikely to be a drastic improvement soon. The Paisley Centre suffers from a few empty units but the gem is the InShops. The InShops are full of little independent retailers - butchers, fish stall, cafes, furniture, nail bar, and a watch repairers. I always pop in here for repairs to my watch as the work is great and really cheap. The M&S has went from being a normal store to being an Outlet store, which is full of M&S products which have been highly discounted. There is also a foodhall full of M&S goodies. The Paisley Centre is ok - it could do with more filled units, but the InShops are worth checking out.
