Art's provided great service on our new Door Opener for our new garage…read more Roland (Owner) was very responsive to my initial inquiries. He quickly prepared an estimate and explained everything thoroughly. Roland showed up on time - (He was there when he said he would be) even letting me know he was in his way 45 minutes out. The work was thorough, Roland even made adjustments to the existing garage door to allow it to close more smoothly. When the job was complete, the job site was cleaned up and returned to original condition. I would not hesitate to use Art's Overhead Door again and I would recommend Roland to my friends. 2 Thumbs Up!!!

He said he would repair our existing doors on one garage then install a new door on a small barn. Then he said he would not repair the existing doors. He claimed the door opening built by the barn contractor was completely wrong and offered to have his friend fix it for $1,800. Instead the barn contractor added a 2x4 at the header and boxed out the sides a bit for free. Roland tried to pressure me in to proceeding with him. He said he misquoted the job and lowered the price by a thousand dolalrs. After having met with him twice and spending a lot of time texting I had no way of knowing what he was and wasn't go to do so I went with a different company.

We even received a phone call about 2 weeks after stating there was a small tear in the insulation and they should be out soon to fix it soon as the part came in. We didn't even know about the tear! I would recommend them to anyone needing garage doors.

I tried to make it clear that I wanted the time slot I was given. Then, when they arrived, they were not very friendly, not making eye contact or shaking hands when they introduced themselves. One seemed annoyed at my small garage door problem (it ended up being a quick fix), but had no problem charging me $96 for a service call. Basically, I was told I have a throwaway door and if they are more problems, I will need a new door. I guess they only care about the big jobs. Not in a hurry to use them again!

The other garage door, which was a manual door, couldn't be lifted at all. I guess all my questions made him a bit anxious and he said to me, "do you not trust me?" I thought it was a great bit of actual honesty. I replied, "no, not at all, I just like to know as much as possible about what is going to be done." Maybe, in retrospect, I was a bit suspicious and didn't realize it, that's what happens when you've been a landlord for over twenty years and have to deal with all kinds of dishonest repair people. In about an hour Ivan had everything fixed. I wasn't even expecting him to do the work right then, but he did, and the price seemed reasonable. I don't have anything to compare it to as I had just moved to Binghamton, but as I said, the price seemed fair, he was very competent and explained everything he did after he was finished, which was a nice touch. I would definitely hire him again.
