The office is relaxing and comfortable. I was seen within minutes of arriving for my appointment. I met with Amy for the first time. She took as much time as I needed to review optional treatments and a plan for ongoing services. I am very happy with the service and look forward to my next visit. On February 13, 2026, I had some Melanoma removed from my face that should have never be done in this office with out MOHS ! I was not made aware that Dr. Prince could not guarantee me that he could get the cancer. One week later was told he did not get all the CANCER! Upon arriving at this office, my wife -- a woman of color -- was treated with shocking disrespect. Although the front staff confirmed she had arrived within the 10-minute grace period for her appointment, they said, "Let me check if we'll still see you." Their attitude was not only rude and unprofessional but also deeply demeaning. After making her wait 45 minutes, they informed her that she would not be seen until all other patients had been treated. On 12/28/23 I had a new patient consultation with Maria Cabasos, ARPN. From the moment I walked into the office to get checked in and up through checkout, the level of professionalism, patient care, etc. was absolutely horrible. The check-in staff was short to the point of being rude. I was asked to complete the new patient paperwork (emailed) prior to my appointment and arrive 15 minutes earlier which I did but then had to wait almost 30 min to be seen. When I was finally called and shown into an exam room by the nurse I started to explain the reason for my visit & concerns. The nurse immediately cut me off and started taking pictures of my face when that was not one of my concerns nor visit. In addition she did not even bother to explain the reason for the pictures but said to continue my conversation (WTH)???? As I tried finish my my conversation I was cut off AGAIN and told Maria will be in shortly. Needless to say I was completely shocked how I was treated especially being a new patient. Thinking the nurse was probably having a bad day (still not excusable) I waited for Maria, ARPN to come in. When Maria did come into the room I immediately knew the exam was going to be just as bad. She did not ask any questions, proceeded to check out my face and NOT the area of my concerns (knee, elbow and overall skin condition) and the proceeded to tell me she was taking a biopsy of my nose since she wanted to out rule any issues. When I finally had enough I asked her about my issues which, of course, she barely glanced at the area. Said she would call in a prescription at my pharmacy and the other items I could buy at Walmart and Amazon. Never discussed what was causing my reaction, what the prescription or other items were for AND when asked how I should care for area where she took the biopsy...she handed me a PIECE OF PAPER and said the instructions were there...UNBELIEVABLE!!! As she was walking out she told me to set up an appointment with an aesthetician to address my skin care!!!! When I checked out the staff immediately told me there would be a $40.00 charge for the appointment with the aesthetician and nothing else. I was so shocked, angry, and wanted to tell them exactly how I felt about their staff and medical providers but I refused to lower myself to their standards. In all my years working in the healthcare industry, being an HR Director in the EMS division for Orange County, as well as being a patient myself dealing with many different healthcare providers, I have NEVER SEEN or BEEN TREATED with such a lack of PROFESSIONALISM, PATIENT CARE or EMPATHY. I have been going to Dr. Parks for MANY years! He does the best Botox of ANYONE that I've ever had it done by and I've had it done all over the country when I couldn't fly in to have him do it. Unfortunately, he is no longer taking Botox patients. It's a long story but I tried three times to rid of a lump on my scalp. I was shuffled form one Dr to the next because they were afraid I would bleed out. Dr Coppola's staff took a look and identified the area which was a bit different then the initial area of concern. I've been going to Heather at Parks Dermatology every 4 months for about 5 years. Heather has always been cautious in the treatment of my skin, so I have never had to deal with any unexpected consequences of the treatments. Any time the billing was incorrect (either in my favor or in Parks Dermatology's favor); it has always been corrected on my next visit. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that I have on occasion had issues making appointments. read more

I really should have gone with my gut feeling when I read the other reviews & stayed away from this place! My overall office visit was fine and the staff was friendly and professional. My shock came later when my bill arrived...although I paid an office copay and a procedure copay at the time of my visit, I was charged for additional procedures that when not explained or informed about during my visit. Just another office that cares about taking what's in your pocket more than putting patients care first. Besides the fact that their staff is rude, I was very disappointment with them. First I asked to see a dermatologist when I made the appointment but when I arrived I was seen by a nurse. I explained my skin problem. I was told that cryotherapy would be the solution. The nurse performed the procedure. The problem got even worse. When i asked for a follow up appointment to have someone check it out, they made me see the nurse again. I was seen by the nurse for less than 5 mins with no outcome but all I was told is "to give it some more time." I received no proper treatment and I was very unsatisfied with their care. Yet they are trying to charge me for the follow up appointment. I don't understand how are these people sworn in to put patients care first when all they literally care about is getting patients in and out to make quick $$ even for follow up appointments. My recommendation to other patients is to do your research and find a caring provider who would spend the time putting your CARE FIRST not just come in the room for about 3 mins and walks out really fast giving you no answers then sending you a bill for a follow up. Terrible experience the two times I visited. I would never recommend this place if you had a skin problem. None of the doctors/physicians assistants that saw me expressed any concern or desire to help me get cured. I told them my research, symptoms, and conclusion and they refused to believe me. Kept insisting it was something else. Dr. Foley felt she needed to tell me she graduated in the top half of her class. Ever have a doctor tell you their credentials? Wow. I insisted I knew what it was and she told me she'd take a look at my medical records from a previous doctor and order a biopsy. Didn't take me seriously and prescribed all these medications that didn't treat the condition. Left feeling very frustrated and disappointed. I scheduled a second visit for the biopsy. Lindsey, the same P.A. who was in the office during my first visit, saw me. I brought in a sample and asked that she look under a microscope and tell me what it is. She was VERY RUDE AND CONDESCENDING. She repeated what Dr. Foley said and showed no concern. I asked her if the office received my records from my previous doctor and she said yes, proof I wasn't making stuff up. I asked her THREE TIMES to please take a look at the sample I brought in and not only did she refuse, she said to me in a snotty tone, "What is it that you think you see?" Wow.. really? And she works in a position "caring" for people? Have you ever had a doctor or PA refuse to help you? I was beside myself. Instead of a biopsy she did a skin-scrape, which is basically like taking the plastic spatula you find in a cheese and cracker package and run it across my cheek. I told her she wasn't going to find anything and that I was told I'd get a biopsy. I even asked to see someone else. She wouldn't do anything. I left feeling more frustrated than the first time. I finally got Dr. Parks' email and told him everything I experienced. He replied that I need to go some place else and that they couldn't help me. No apology for the way I was treated, and no empathy or concern. So as they say, sh*t rolls downhill, and starts from the top. Definitely disappointing and I would not recommend them they seem more concerned with cosmetic improvements. read more

My husband saw Dr. Cappola for the first time last year for an unusual reappearing & dissapearing rash. Upon evaluation of labs, my husband was diagnosed with a rare cancer. If it had not been for Dr. Coppola, my husband would be dead! The staff are ALL friendly and polite. I was shocked on the ease of getting an appointment that very day with NO unneccesary waiting. I had an appointment (my first) with a nurse practicioner, which is fine in most cases. She was very helpful to begin with. When she found three small spots on my nose that she said needed treatment, she offered me either chemical or freezing. I chose chemical. She then proceeded to tell me everything that was wrong with my decision and, after several additional times telling her that I wanted to use the daily chemical treatment, I finally gave in and agreed to the freezing. Bad mistake. The bill for 45 seconds of work was multiple hundred dollars. Now I know why she was so persistent! After that was done, she was no longer interested in answering questions and ushered in a cosmetician who tried to sell me very expensive face cream. I asked for an ingredients list for this cream and there was none. Needless to say, I will never go back there. This group seems to be in it for the money and nothing else. I understand that any physician has to pay to bills but this is ridiculous. If you give me a choice and I choose, leave it alone. read more

This review is about their office in port orange. I went to parks about 4 months ago concerned about tiny bumps I had along my chin line, I was in a wedding in November so I wanted to see if there is anything I could try to make the bumps go away. They prescribed me ziana and an antibiotic, my little bumps went away but I ended up getting acne which, if that was the case, i would have just dealt with the bumps. They saw me several times, which was great they were working with me. They finally prescribed an antibiotic that started to clear up my face. I saw my doctor (who was great) on my 4 week check up and she upped my medication, instead of two pills, take three, which I did. She told me to call if I had any break throughs so I did. They nurse said that "I changed medication, and whenever there is a change your face would break out" I told her I did not change I just upped the intake and she said that "I have to be patient" and pretty much that acne is part of life and there's nothing they can do. I have been patient for months, not to mention my face wasn't full of acne before I went to see them. I loved my doctor but the nurse at that office is not very nice nor professional. Acting like there is nothing you can do about acne when you work in a dermatology center is kind of contradicting. Isn't that part of their job, to help people with issues they have about their face? My face has been nothing but awful since I started with them and I have officially lost all my confidence and am embarrassed to go out in public. I am transferring over to mid coast dermatology, hopefully they can help fix my face, since this dermatology center can't, if you are going to parks for acne I would not recommend it, AT ALL. The nurse does not give you directions for any of your medications and she just says "unfortunately this is just his/her time" that there is nothing they can do read more
