I've been pleased with the quality of their product, but have been blown away by their commitment to customer service. Need proof? I needed to order flowers for an event, and called and left a message on the phone number. This already was strange because Doug almost always answers the phone during business hours. That night, I got a text from Doug who was out of the country at the time, letting me know that he was out, but that he got my message and could call me the next morning... from out of the country!! I worked with Nate, the other manager, to complete my flower order, who was just as helpful in advising me of what was in stock, coming in at peak quality, and some good alternatives to help me save money. I don't see this amount of care at any other floral vendor I've worked with in Portland... and believe me, I've seen quite a few. The fact that their prices are more than fair just make the experience that much better!

I got so many compliments on my wedding flowers throughout the day and the week that followed. A lot of them lasted a good while after the event. I was just disappointed with a few of the bunches of Ranunculus I received. When we went to prep them we had to wire them up which is time consuming. They did give me another bunch of flowers to cover one sad looking bunch which was nice of them!

They have their bold flower ingredients in a glass front cooler with black walls and dramatic lighting. Their look book of arrangements is professionally photographed in a similar way. Many of their arrangements resemble the flowers in still life paintings. Their website and socials have many images. They are well respected by the Portland art world with many collaborations. I stopped in as they were hosting a sculpture show. Colibri was founded in 2017 by the late Naomi Pomeroy and her partner Kyle Webster. Their accomplishments include https://www.yelp.com/biz/beast-portland, https://www.yelp.com/biz/ripe-cooperative-portland, https://www.yelp.com/biz/expatriate-portland-2, https://www.yelp.com/biz/cornet-custard-portland, https://www.yelp.com/biz/l-echelle-portland-2, and more. All those are/were best in class, and Colibri is too. Today Colibri is guided entirely by Bianca Sparta. They do weddings, food styling, fashion styling, event design, interior design, holiday floral/wreaths, more. They have a shop in Frances May and have done a Valentine's Day photo booth collaboration. You will find books, candles, kitchen items and other gifts. Of course flowers as gifts are always welcome! You will also find them around town teaching flower arranging. They are now in the Film Exchange Building taking a half block and filled with creative retail and offices. And the outside walls are overtaken by climbing plants too! Colibri is a flower arranger and stylist you should look up. They love to collaborate on creating and inspiring your vision.
