However, your employees need proper training on how to respond to an injury with urgency, compassion, and clear communication so customers feel reassured and supported. Your manager appeared unsure of what to do until I raised my concern about taking my dog to the vet. Being handed a single cotton ball and asked to provide an update while my dog was bleeding did not make me feel that the situation was being taken seriously. That is why I described the handling of this incident as unprofessional.
