Moved in a few months ago. Regret every moment. Had I read the reviews, I would have not moved here. They charge $360 for amenities that are of no use (so basically charging us for upgrades) Media room unusable, terrace? (you need to go through gym to get there, so imagine that) pool room very small and open space. When you enter through Irving St, that Lobby smells. I had one guest over, and I had to spray before they came in because I was embarrassed. Elevator got a new carpet but the elevator is old and it is not cleaned: you can see that on the edges of the floor as you enter. Garbage in garage is gross. As is on floors where they mistakenly put garbage cans that sometimes are overflowing. Common areas were updated but garbage rooms were not. Rug on some floors smell like dog pee. There is no communication: I saw charges for utility fee, water and sewer recently. All these charges appeared on rent bill with no explanation. (never told about this in the beginning) So whose water am I paying? There is no itemized bill of my usage. And paying for sewer? Never heard of this. Emails are not promptly answered. No professionalism or etiquette. Staff lives on premises so whatever notices are put out there, it is difficult for them to enforce. Garbage is a big issue. Fall is here and I have never heard a leaf blower cleaning up the leaves or maintain the grounds. My apartment was given to me without being painted and I was told it was. Cabinets are only painted outside, very poorly. You open them and they are still brown inside. White paint chips. They put new hinges yet you can still see holes of old ones. Bathtubs are disgusting. One of them was painted because I requested it before moving it but they saw nothing wrong with it. Obviously the paint they used was not the right one, and it has started to chip again. I had to hire to have bedroom carpets cleaned. One had red stain and it was given to me that way. Refrigerator makes noise. Maintenance does not follow through. If you don't care, they are okay with you, otherwise if you do care and want things done right you get an attitude. Window shades are cheap and break easily. Laying down on my bed, I can hear flush of toilet and shower which sound like a big gush of water will fall on me. Have an ant problem in kitchen. Never knew NJ had roaches. See them in main bathroom often. Tenant front doors are poorly painted. Package room is often a disaster and anyone can come and take your package. Garage doors are old and when you open one, both garages open and stay open long enough for anyone to enter. Sometimes they won't open at all. Although it was said that people are to remove things from garage as it was a fire hazard, people still store things and no one enforces it. Boxes are also left in garbage room and no one enforces it. Bathroom floor tiles are old, grout coming out and I don't dare put yet another maintenance request because on my last request, I got an attitude. Do your homework people. I am stuck here cause I cannot break lease. The only good thing about this building is location as many tenants I have spoken to have told me. Inventory is low so many stay but really don't care for the building at all. Tenants are also nice, yet some may not be willing to tell it as it really is. And the mysterious person who answers the comments "owner" don't ask me to call office and provide the apt. number. I am sure the office knows who I am. Fix the problem. You really don't need to live here. As a matter of fact, doors are left open, anyone can just walk in. Oh and door leading to garages, are dirty and old. God knows I am telling the truth. I would hate for people to make the mistake I did. Had I known...Moving is hard, and you just made my life so much harder. So yes, I am disappointed and very upset. And I would have filed a complain directly with the owner or the management company but I don't know who that is or who to reach. You want all this money but you are not delivering what is advertised. I am paying for a descent place to live, so I expect that. read more
