It is possible to sit upstairs, where there is a dining room, and outside, where there are heaters. The food at the Churchfield is excellent I particularly recommend their vegetarian burgers. I actually prefer the Churchfield to the Rocket, which is just a bit further down the road and is in a similar style, because the food is much better for vegetarians.

Never mind they had TWO guys selling money (exchange) and TWO guys selling biscuits and chocolate. Only one broken person selling post office. So I complained. They asked me not to come back. This used to be the main post office in Hammersmith Broadway but it is now just an implant at the…read moreback of WH Smith in Kings Mall shopping precinct. Undermanned at the best of times, service desks are even more depleted between 12 and 3pm. Queues serpentine and meander back to the store itself anytime after 11 in the morning. There have been some appalling rude staff at this post office, the worse of whom has gone. Slow service and not enough staff. Try at your peril.

Think of the local Post Office if you can do it without grimacing - never less than about 30 people…read morequeuing, using up your whole lunch hour to get served, then finally when you get to the front they try and sell you Post Office insurance or broadband when all you want to do is get out. Don't even think about asking for sellotape or else risk the wrath of hell! Now imagine Mail Boxes, etc. about 30 seconds further down the road from the Chiswick Post Office. I went in there a couple of days ago to send something I'd sold on eBay. Not only did they actually look happy, something the Post Office hasn't managed in all the years I've been in there, but they also helped me box-up a difficult item and happily offered me parcel tape and a marker pen - all done with a smile, without queuing at all and at the equivalent price of the Post Office. I really wish I'd discovered them years ago and shall be using their other branches in other places I visit in London. Thanks Mailboxes.
