Great and very honest mechanic. I have been going to Milan for many years. It is rare in this area to get such a cost efficient mechanic.

Our car battery died and once we replaced it the car alarm would not stop and the car would not leave limp mode. We couldn't drive it. Nothing seemed to work. AAA sent us to Dave from Plaza Service. He was amazing! He fixed the alarm issue and towed it to try and figure out the issue with limp mode. That's when Milan solved the problem. Fast, friendly "old school" service; no up selling or slickness of any kind. I came here to get my tire fixed after a flat. As soon as I came in I was greeted with a smile, and almost before I had finished my sentence the guy had asked me for my keys and told me to sit down and relax. 15 minutes later they asked me if I had the bolts for my spare, and 5 minutes after that I came outside just as they were finishing up checking and adjusting the pressure on my other three tires. The whole thing was $20. They never tried to get me to buy a new tire instead of fixing the old, or tried to up sell me in any way. I'll be returning for future auto service needs. read more

I have been a customer for several years now and have never had any problems. They are friendly and helpful and get your car taken care of. I've needed them for AAA twice and they were there quickly and efficiently and I've used them for all car problems for my car and my wife's. That being said, I want to correct a really bad, vicious review from Vanessa R. I was there that morning that she came and expected her company to pay for the work being done. She claims that the owner cursed at her - that's a lie. I was sitting 3 feet away watching this. She also says that another person in the waiting room told her "That's not nice" - I was the only person besides them and I said nothing to her. She claims she was reasonable and respectful - she yelled at everyone and was so condescending to the workers it was disgusting. She threatened them with Yelp, telling the man who handles the walk in business "I hope you'll be able to get another job, because I'm going to close this place down through Yelp". Finally, she must have written her review before the hilarious finale to this. As she got ready to pay her money, she said to the guy at the counter the name of the business- he said "This is Plaza Service, not that name". She said this was Glen Cove Ave - he advised her she was on Glen Head Rd. She said the station is in Glen Cove - he told her she was in Glen Head. She was at the wrong place!!!!!!! No wonder no one at the station knew what she was talking about!!!!! Whenever you come across a nasty type review take it with a grain of salt and check it out yourself. read more

It is now a BP not a Gulf. My car wouldn't start and I was in a deserted parking lot on a 90 degree day. I called AAA and this company answered. Anton, the owner, called me almost immediately to tell me it might be a while, because he had two tows ahead of me, but he would send a mechanic in case there was something he could do without the headache of a tow. The mechanic showed up within about 15 minutes, but couldn't help. I got picked up and Anton called me when he was on his way so I could return to meet him at the car. Anton kept me apprised of his status, and sent me a link to follow his progress. He was polite, friendly, and very, very helpful, even though I wasn't towed to his station, which was pretty far from my house. I highly recommend him and his services. read more

I called AAA around 1pm on Thursday because my car wouldn't charge - Jr from Park Plaza came right away. He was efficient - tried to jump the car - made sure I was ok in the heat and brainstormed ways I could make it home. Unfortunately the charge did not keep and it was clear that it was the alternator. He put me in touch with Milan and the folks at Park Plaza - all so friendly, offering suggestions, concern but no pushy pitch for business. When it was clear by the time I towed and ubered to my home on the South shore it would be even more expensive and time consuming - they offered to track down the part and get it in so they could work it out to finish the car that day. They made arrangements for the part and so I could get a lift to a friend's nearby for the afternoon so I didnt have to stay at the station. Replaced the alternator and put a new battery in and I was on my way around 630pm. They even called the next day to check on everything - truly grateful they were the AAA and auto shop team that were nearby when I needed them. read more

I been going here for years and will never go back! I first was interrogated to have my inspection done. They thought I was a state official. After I had to mention the owners name to get it done since they didn't recognize me in my new car. They put the sticker in crooked. I asked them to redo it and they guy said no I am sorry I can't. You should of told us you wanted it straight and next to your registration. It looks so sloppy. Basically stole my money. I have to spend another half hour and more money to have it redone at another shop. Terrible customer service! read more

These guys are solid -- HIGHLY recommended. I live in Brooklyn, and work throughout the tri-state area in a very fast paced industry that has me at times making last minute and demanding requests of people in other industries (especially service and retail). Some vendors are up to the challenge, and some are not, and I can't blame them. But these guys have been going above and beyond!! Not only did Dave (the mechanic) take a special interest in our project, he made sure we were taken care of in that way that you always hope for but so rarely get from auto shops. Can't say enough good things about this group - Dave, Rose (at the front desk), and the gentleman whose name I didn't catch who came out twice to pick up a couple vehicles. They definitely make you feel like they're on your side. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and make them your go to mechanic shop. read more

Friendly, professional and fast!! While I've never stepped foot inside the service station, I can say that their customer service is on point. Today after a long day of classes my car would not start (of course) , and after a phone call to AAA they sent over a tow truck from plaza. The driver (whose name I unfortunately did not get) arrived quickly and was very professional and friendly. He analyzed the problem and It turned out that I was just out of gas, but he was nice enough to wait for the AAA for me and bring him back to where I was parked. He even stuck around to help him put some gas in my car. He never once was short or frustrated that I didn't actually need his towing services, and truly went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of, and for that I give him 5 stars and a Huge Thank you for his time :) read more

So upset, I am shaking! I drive a company car and my service appointment was made by the company that manages the corporate fleet. After my inspection was complete, the Owner at Plaza Service refused to accept payment from the management company and demanded that I pay cash or he was going to rip the sticker off my car. When I explained that all he had to do was call and bill them directly, he was rude and cursed at me. I had the company call him to resolve it and he hung up them, and threatened again to remove the sticker. I told him he was going to lose me and the entire national fleet management company as a customer and he said "I don't care- I have enough customers. Pay your bill and don't ever come back here again." I was reasonable and respectful the whole time. He was not. Another customer sitting in the waiting even told him "That's not nice" after he cursed at me. I called the company that manages our fleetAnd reported the incident. This shop has been removed from their list of providers. Do not give this lying, horrible person your business! read more

They've helped me so many times - low tire pressure, failed brakes, annual inspections, broken muffler - that I fully trust and rely on them for an honest opinion and honest work. After two excellent experiences with Park Plaza Gulf Service, I had to take the time to write a review. Fastest, Most Professional and Friendly roadside service I have ever experienced. AAA chose a gem of a service station. I had a completely flat tire & called Triple A. Fifteen minutes later Dave arrived. Within 5 minutes, he had the screw out of my tire and had repaired the tire. I was so pleased with his service, that the next time I had a damaged tire, I drove directly over to their service station; I knew they would quickly repair the tire without trying to sell me a new tire. Friendly, Efficient, Honest! These guys are great. I went in for an oil change and to replace a tire I blew out the night before. They were able to take care of the tire and oil change all the very next day, with sterling results!!! The people at the front desk are super helpful and nice, and the head mechanic is honest, friendly, and gets the job done. Excellent service with warmth and respect. I'm from New Jersey and my Envoy died on Northern Blvd. AAA sent a tow truck. The driver suggested to go back to his garage to see if it could be a simple repair so I would be able to drive back to NJ instead of being towed. I was a little skeptical at first, but we did. The guys at Plaza checked it very quickly, offered me coffee or a beverage and some M & M's while the checked it out. Even the bathroom was pretty respectable for a gas station. Unfortunately it was something major so it needed to be towed. By then it was the height of rush hour with heavy rains, so they suggested we wait a little while and again offered me refreshments. This is one honest place, they didn't ask me to pay anything for taking the car off the truck, checking it out and then reloading it on the truck. I even offered a tip to the guy and he would not take it. Then we got on the road, no questions asked and headed to NJ in the rain and traffic. The driver was great, no complaining about driving to NJ at 6 o'clock in traffic & rain. He was a Ukrainian immigrant who has been here for 3 years working his ass off for the American dream & doing a great job of it. I'm now very well educated on the Ukraine and the cultural changes experienced and the hard work to learn English (which he is doing very well with) for a new arrival in the USA. Guys like him are the type of immigrants America needs! Bottom line if I lived in LI these guys would get all of my business! read more

a simple gas station in glen head ny near glen cove . i went to get some gas before heading back to the city and when i notice the tire pressure sensor on and it's usually a nail in the tire that's causing the problem so after a quick look i notice a big ass nail . i had the friendly gas station dude call over his mechanic and in less then 20 minutes i was able to continue back on the road . along with gas and a car repair shop they also offer towing with triple aaa affiliation which is why investing in a triple aaa membership is well worth it . a really good and honest gas/repair shop which is usually not the norm most of the time at other places. read more

Decided to have an afternoon outing on such a beautiful day so I drove to Bayville with my friend for a great Greek lunch and as we pulled into the parking spot..smoke was coming out from under the hood, left it and went to eat and call AAA (THANK GOD FOR THE GOLD CARD) ... PARK PLAZA GULF (724 Glen Head Rd, Glen Head 516-676-8885) came pretty fast hooked up the car and away we went to Nassau County where I live. Had a really nice guy named Nick to drive us back home, the car and us were delivered safe and sound. I would recommend this company for the future. I've had a few older cars in the past 15 years. My car randomly stopped running and my engine shut down and I was stuck in a parking lot. I called AAA and fortunately they contacted Plaza service. Within 15 minutes of speaking to AAA I got a call from Nick from Plaza Service to apologize for it taking so long and that all his guys were out but he was personally going to come to help me and was there within 30 of the call. I was taken back by the apology being that it was unbelievably fast and he couldn't have been nicer. When he arrived I said I'm just going to run across the parking lot to use the ladies room and because it was raining he insisted he gave me a ride so I didn't have to walk in the rain. Also, I have a fair amount of car knowledge being that I've had so many old cars with many problems and know that more often than not mechanics aren't always honest about the problem and try to upcharge especially with women. There is corrosion on top of my battery that looks bad but I knew it could be replaced in the next month or two. Playing stupid to see if he was honest as well I said "Oh geez that looks bad that has to be replaced right now too doesn't it" He responded "No it can wait it doesn't have to be done now the battery will just run down sooner than later." At that point while I was going to take it to a different shop I decided to take it to them. He was fast loading the car on his truck and then also offered to give me a ride home being I was sort of close to the shop. He also refused to take a tip which also surprised me but he was so helpful I left it in the truck for him anyway. I cant recommend this shop enough and I've dealt with a few in my time lol. Nick couldn't have been more helpful, honest and kind. If you are ANYWHERE on the north shore I strongly suggest using their services! read more

Called AAA due to starter not working on my BMW. Plaza sent driver that was clueless and could not figure out how to manually put car in neutral for tow. Had to wait another hour and owner Milano came to tow car. He convinced me to fix the car at his station. I was told job would be completed following day b/c repair would take 3 hours. I was surprised to be called to pu my car in less than 3 hours but after dark. I noticed marks and scratches on my hood that were new; looked like a piece of equipment had been dropped on the hood. The attendant (Dave) was very rude and cursed at me and called me a liar when I pointed out the damage. I asked for my starter back (the piece removed from my car) as I didn't want the station further enriched with the ability to rebuild the starter and use for another customer (I was charged almost $700 for the repair); especially after my car was damaged and I was treated so poorly. I also asked to speak to the owner and was told that I couldn't. I called to speak to the owner (Milano) the next day and he told me my claim was a total "fabrication" and that I had to pay him to get my starter back!!! I asked him why I would make up such a thing and he told me that my only recourse was to sue him since this was America!!!! I also asked him why the damage to my hood wasn't noted when the car was brought in (which would be normal procedure in most repair shops) The obvious reason is that the hood was damaged by Plaza either in towing or during the repair. I have never experienced such awful customer service and needless to say I would never recommend using this station. read more

Sloppy, lazy, expensive and deceitful - do not use. Brought in my car because side mirror was not functioning. In trying to diagnose issue, they dropped it and it shattered. Milan was not going to do anything about it until I told him he had to find a temporary solution and so he glued the mirror back to the panel. The mirror's motor and switch work perfectly yet he insisted I needed to replace the entire housing for which he quoted me $ 550. Given the mirror's cost from manufacturing is $ 113 this is pure robbery. I also have a leak in one of the tires. He told me that yes the tire was loosing air but he could not find a leak. In fact the engine light was on when I went to retrieve the car. I had opened a case with the tire manufacturer and wanted him to call and report that there was a leak but he could not find it, which is what he told me. He refused to do it as obviously he was not going to make any money on this. Obviously, he has no vision of building customer relationships. Lastly, the knob on one of my air vents broke. Once again he wanted me to replace the entire vent for $ 300! 4 knobs could cost $ 25. So I lost a day of my time and all I got is a broken mirror and a lot of misinformation. Lazy, sloppy and greedy. Do not recommend. read more
