Having visited Tobermory for the icon Balamory Houses, we were more than delighted to have some food here. Only a 5-minute walk from where we were staying, the yellow outside marks the unmissable location for Josie Jumps house and we also heard they did decent food too. So after taking far too many photos of the outside (the locals started staring), we headed inside and to the lovely little restaurant area. We were greeted and shown to our table, we were a little on the early side before service but that was no issue. The room had various sea themed displays and articles on the walls which were interested to look at, the table was laid out wonderfully although our table of 4 was laid for 2, this was soon rectified. As it was a Sunday we opted for their very well priced 3-course meal, however, we didn't have a choice on the meat for the roast dinner by hey ho. We ordered and the starters came flying out of the door (quick I mean not through the air) and this was delicious, the prawns were perfect and the garlic mushrooms to die for. Roast for mains and this too was perfect in portion size and really nice, the meat was a little dry and not how I have beef but passable. Dessert was divine, a local cheese board for me and was a lovely end to the meal.
Overall great food, good service and would defo go back again, oh and reasonably priced. read more
