I am super satisfied with my stay. Friendly staff. Great…read morelocation. Decent rooms. If you are used to Scandic you will not be disappointed. You know what you get. And you will be happy to hear they actually have towels for the bathroom floor!! Not always the fact in Scandics I have noticed recently. Environmental toiletteries - meaning no small bottles. Bring conditioning though - long hair will not like the schampoo. Parking under the hotel is SEK240 per 24hrs. Breakfast is decent. Play room for kids in breakfast room. They have a small gym with 2 mills and a cross trainer (see photo) Hopefully you'll get a room with view, and not any of the many facing the inner yard which is just dull and nothing to see but other rooms windows. They accept AMEX.

We stayed here twice. Because we were three people travelling, be booked just one room for us -…read more#324 was the one they gave us on both trips. ROOM It was quite big and comfortable. The room featured two single beds and sleeper (a.k.a. sofa bed), a TV, a table, a chair and a modern armchair. The bathroom was big as well and had a bathtub. Nothing could be heard from the hallway or the other rooms. The windows can be opened a bit (not so advisable on the weekends due to the quite noisy people on the street at night, during the week it's okay). Only one thing we didn't like that much - I've dropped something which fell under the sofa bed and there was a dust and two candy wrapping papers. BREAKFAST Was okay. Turkey breast, ham, salami, liver paste, two kinds of cheese, different sorts of jam, as well as scrambled eggs, sausages, warm vegetables, fresh fruits, delicious bread, a good variety of hot drinks. A lot of it was fair-trade and/or organic products and they also had gluten-free bread. STAFF In the entire hotel they were friendly, nice and very helpful.

This is why reviews help... so that I could choose a hotel that did not disappoint…read more I needed to book one night using United Airline points, but I don't ever trust the reviews on the booking site, whether it's through an airline, timeshare bank or other. TripAdvisor is usually where I look, as the reviews are most often objective, up-to-date and give me an idea of how people feel about a place. After sifting through many of the reviews, I landed on the Mercur in Copehagen. I'm glad I did. Upon getting to the hotel, I observed Kristoffer at the front desk, assisting guests before me. I could tell he took pride in his work and really cared about the guests, based on his demeanor, suggestions and help. When I got to the desk to see if I could check in early, he apologized, letting me know that the room wasn't ready yet. I told him there was nothing to apologize for, as I was early and it was before the stated check-in time. He led me to the room to store my luggage. Kristoffer and I then embarked on a bit of my 'tourist' walking tour, giving me suggestions based on my interests, and even telling me who to ask for at a particular bar/restaurant, who I later made contact with and was so very friendly. I had a great day and evening out with the help of Kristoffer. I opted to add the breakfast into my room package and that was really good, so it was very convenient for my morning to get the day started on the day I would depart the beautiful city of Copenhagen. I was able to touch base with Kristoffer one more time that morning to thank him for all his suggestions and help. Kristoffer let me know that the location of the main train station was only a block+ from the hotel, making it extremely easy for me to get to the airport for my flight home to California. I'm always a fan of using public transportation when I can. I could see that many others adopted this attitude as well based on how many where there with their suitcases. If you are looking for a great place to stay, my suggestion is The Mercur. Close to the trains, and very close to the main walking promenade and Tivoli Gardens, among many other things.

We really can't complain. We were so surprised at how large the room was and how quiet the hotel was - we thought maybe we were the only guests. For specifics, there is a kettle and mini-fridge (no microwave); shower took a little bit to figure out but was very nice (though low water pressure) and the products leave you feeling and smelling amazing. Breakfast buffet is from 0630-1000 and has a variety of meats and cheeses, breads, cereals, pastries, yogurt and hot items. If we were ever in Malmo again this would definitely be where we stayed!

Well I settled in at the Radisson in Malmo after 8 straight days so far on the road and ordered a Pilsner and asked for a menu. Bartender had a cool old west mustache and the place was very basic but felt like home a bit. I ordered the beet salad - the bomb- and the Swedish veal meatballs and they were really good - as well, and yes, I know, I always forget to take pictures! Mashed potatoes were amazing and it came with a cranberries and pickled cucumber side salad that really worked with whole dish! Just a perfect dinner and I recommend this hotel restaurant highly for those road warriors like me -
