This luxurious hotel in Toronto offers an excellent location, conveniently situated near shopping centers, train stations, museums, parks, and delicious restaurants. However, during my stay, I encountered an issue with the elevators. One elevator was out of service, and we had to share it with construction workers and staff. While it wasn't particularly convenient, I had to make do with it. On a positive note, I noticed an empty wine bottle in the minibar area when I checked in. I promptly informed the hotel, explaining that I wasn't drinking it and that housekeeping should check before sending guests in. Fortunately, the hotel promptly addressed the issue. The service at this Park Hyatt is top-notch. Everyone we encountered was so nice and welcoming. Having stayed at other Park Hyatt properties, this one kind of lacks a regional identity that relates back to the city it's based in, but it still shines with excellent amenities and luxurious surroundings. We bookended our trip to Canda with stays here. The first was 3 nights, then we left for several days to stay in a lake cottage up north, and then came back for a 4th day. Both visits were excellent. When you pull up to the front drop off area, there is plenty of room to shield from the elements, so you are not in direct rain, sun, etc...This is a nice feature so you don't feel rushed when arriving or departing. From there, the reception desk is in a small room tucked away to the right of the main lobby. I really appreciate this about most Park Hyatts I've been to. It allows you to check in and not have a flurry of activity whizzing about. Once we got to our room, I was pleased with the appointments of our suite- it had everything we needed, plus it had a vanity table with a large 3-way mirror. It also had Le Labo toiletries and good water pressure in the shower- pretty essential. The gym on the property was great! Lots of windows to let in natural light and plenty of machines. Try to aim for an early or off-peak workout time to get dibs on free-weights. Another great thing about the gym was they have a small outdoor terrace you can do yoga on. I took advantage of this and found it to be really peaceful, even though I was in the middle of a bustling city. The location is a dream and was close to the subway station as well as tons of shopping, dining and attractions. Staying here, it really did feel like anything we wanted to accomplish in Toronto was in reach. On our last day, we were able to book the complementary property car (a Tesla Model X) to take us to Union Station to make our train to Montreal. This was such a nice touch and made this leg of the trip very pleasant. Our driver was very courteous and friendly and really reinforced why Park Hyatt properties are so great. They always go a step beyond to make you feel valued and cared for. Always a wonderful way to make any trip less stressful. As a Hyatt regular , I was familiar with Park Hyatt offering. The rooms are spacious offering modern refined luxury feel. Le Labo toiletries are always a welcome treat away from home. I also wished higher water pressure in the shower. Service has been a bit of a mixed bag. Potentially this was to be expected over new years holiday. That said, it was more communication and timing issues not so much execution issues. The ground level offers limited seating , working space options , aside from main dining / lounge space at Juno restaurant. They were accommodating to a degree but electing to run meetings from the breakfast area is not ideal. They graciously offered to use their meeting room space for remote office work but clearly they are not set up for that use, as opposed to conference events etc read more

Our corner suite was large and luxurious and the whole family was pampered with great service and the location (Yorkville) CANNOT BE BEAT. We could walk to over 25 restaurants and in the heart of Canada's premier high fashion street - one of the best neighborhoods in Toronto. Incredible corner suite with tons of space and luxurious appointments everywhere. Terrific service by everyone at the hotel. We came here for a short getaway to celebrate my birthday and check out Toronto. This hotel is in a prime location that is a short walking distance from the Royal Ontario Museum, luxury shopping and Eataly. The hotel's recent renovation is impeccable and the decor is modern minimalist perfection. My husband is a globalist and they upgraded us to a king suite which was well appointed with a wardrobe dressing area and an additional half bathroom. The only area for improvement is the restaurant. We had breakfast at Joni and they were definitely understaffed during the weekend. Service was extremely slow and we had to wait a very long time for our food. All I can say is the service is just top notch from the moment you arrive at the valet, to the front desk, cleaning and restaurant staff. We had a short stay last week while we were in town for HYROX and were excited to stay at this hotel for the first time after the renovation. The location is likely convenient to walk around for shopping and eats but was tough for us to get around if we needed to drive anywhere with the heavy traffic. We were upgraded to a deluxe room which was nice with more space and tucked in from the main hallway away from noise. The staff was very welcoming and the hotel is beautiful but we had a couple odd complaints about the room. However, the toilet paper was not what you would expect from a Park Hyatt. It was thin and papery, comparable to airport toilet paper. The towels were also very hard. I honestly was very confused as these towels were super thin and threadbare, the type that I would use to clean in my home. We also ordered breakfast the first day with my Chai latte almost undrinkable with the amount of spice it was tasted like pepper! We would stay here again if we returned to Toronto as the location is great but I honestly had a hard time when comparing this property to other Park Hyatts. Hotwired for a last minute trip to Toronto the past weekend and was pleasantly surprised to get the Park Hyatt. Price was below $300 USD/ night which I thought was good for a same day booking. Pros: Central location, easy parking / valet, friendly staff, quiet and large rooms Cons: Beds were a bit soft for my liking, annoying auto-sensing lights (made it hard to walk around with a sleeping baby), false advertising with 24 hour room service (tried to order breakfast at 530 am, but was told the kitchen wouldn't be open until 630 am) and also the fact that you don't need a card to access hotel elevator (can go to any floor you want). Overall, I would probably go back for less than $300 usd /night but would look elsewhere if paying their normal rates. read more

Aug. 21-25, 2025 - Luxurious and spacious suite on the 13th floor with a long desk and a sofa with chair in front of a flat screen TV. A large bathroom with a separate tub and shower stall, toilet, and double sinks. A separate toilet/sink near the entry; a bar area with snacks, coffee, tea, and alcohol; and a wardrobe area with two lighted closets and a vanity table. Bedroom also had a large flat screen TV, a comfortable bed, and ample lighting. Nice view of the city from two large windows. The gentleman who checked us into two separate rooms knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and welcoming. Front desk personnel warmly greeted us each day, and attendants in the parking area opened the door for us each time we left the hotel. Housekeeping staff helpful and accommodating: Ortha, Mahmoud, Aerielle, & Jasmine (hope I got the spelling right). I opted to not have daily room service, but they provided us with clean towels, tissues, toilet paper, clean coffee cups, and bottled water as needed. The Writer's Room on the 17th floor has a beautiful view of the city and enjoyed the spicy margaritas and appetizers. Excellent service by server and staff. Breakfast at Joni's has freshly squeezed orange juice but the coffee was not to my liking. The coffee from the Nespresso machine in the room tasted better and coffee shops are walking distance from the hotel. Service at the restaurant is excellent. Rating is more like 4.5 since there were a couple of issues: One of the double sinks in my room was slow draining so used the other sink so not a problem for me. The other room had a clogged shower drain and maintenance was called to fix it. It was still slow draining the next day but cleared afterwards. The five stars is for exemplary customer service by the hotel/attendant staff and overall experience because this is a beautiful hotel. Park Hyatt, a well located but otherwise non-descript expensive hotel, was pretty disappointing. Decor is beige, lifeless and neutral. + Needed a late night snack but there's no shop onsite, no minibar in the room, and no options for a bottle of water or aspirin other than walking in the cold rain to the Circle K nearby. The cold rain is no match for the obstacle course set by weaving through the homeless people in the area. + On the plus side, the size of the two-queen on the 6th floor overlooking a brutalist office building is larger than most high end entry-level rooms, but with all this space there's no soaking tub or couch. + On to the shower then, where I discover large bottles of that sexy LeLabo body wash and shampoo, though the latter bottle was nearly empty. No one answered the phone so I went downstairs and the front desk fellow said he would have it sent up. This never arrived. I hope the delivery fellow gets found quickly. + It's not all bad - ugly decor, no shampoo or lotion, nowhere to get a snack - these aren't calamitous issues* and in the right light, the landscaping in the narrow lobby is lush enough to divert attention from the faux fireplace pretending to crackle in the background. But for close to a thousand bucks a night in a location as prime time as this, the Park Hyatt is swinging for the fences but failed to notice that they fell into the swimming pool.** *Assuming the shampoo delivery person is located safely and quickly. **Metaphorically. Park Hyatt stays are usually a fun treat especially when you're a globalist with Hyatt. The perks!! This one: they didn't reach out like normal Hyatt stays: maybe short staffed. A ok on that part. The property/ stay experience: 4 stars! My favorite Park Hyatts will always be Park Hyatt Tokyo followed by Park Hyatt Paris-Vendome! They were so extra, over the top, impeccable experiences from first step into the lobby till the end, this one feels a much more muted, colder version of service. Perhaps it's the Toronto Style! Rooms: No suite but it was still a pretty spacious luxury king room. Love the stylish, minimalist/ monochrome decor. And of course: the coffee! An actual plates, porcelain cups are perfect touch for any coffee service over paper cups. Bed was super spacious, almost a California king! Love the toiletries and that multi function rain forest shower! Best shower experience in a hotel this month and there's been several hotels. No club access or breakfast ( globalist perks) but they have a restaurant in the lobby. Gorgeous! You can get anything you want for breakfast there. I thoroughly enjoyed my latte, matcha latte, green juice and a cappuccino breakfast here. $7-$8 each. Servers were wonderful! Decor is stunning etc. Location: right on/next to Burrad street and all the main downtown hustle/ fun/ restaurants/shops! Van cleef is a block and half away! So are other fun shops ( Cartier, Tiffany, Eataly, Chanel). And food. So many food options. And! Best birthday treats!! I'm never not celebrating my birthday this year. Call it a Covid birthday :) Macarons & champagne delivery to my room: yes please! They made sure to timed it between me leaving back and forth so many times. Love coming back in for a surprise! They were delicious too. Oh and I met a Bridgerton while staying here!!! She was the sweetest soul. We chatted for a good 20-30 minutes! Pics coming! We stayed at the Park Hyatt in Toronto for about a week. The hotel is beautifully decorated, clean, and has a lovely gym. It is nicely located steps from the museum and near restaurants and shopping. The multiple super cars parked in front of the hotel were impressive and a treat to see. We tried the Joni Restaurant and the Writer's Room Bar during our stay. Our favorite was the Korean fried chicken and garden salad. My husband really liked one of their drinks but I forgot the name of it. The view from Writer's Room Bar is stunning! It really showcases the beauty of this city. We also tried in-room dining. Joyanta delivered our dinner quickly. He was friendly, professional, and made sure that we were happy with our order before he left. Great customer service! In short, I highly recommend this hotel. 5/5! read more

In the past several years, the hotel was my home away from home when I visit Toronto. The staff used to acknowledge my prior stays and recognized my status. I could have stayed at less expensive properties near CN Tower, but I chose not to. Unfortunately, this may be my last stay. When I checked in, the staff asked if it was my first time at the property. The door to room definitely needs to be replaced. Housekeeping did not properly clean my room as their was water still in the tea kettle. On my last day, housekeeping had cleaned my room while I had gotten breakfast. I thought they knew when guests check out, so not to clean it until after they did. Fortunately, I had already packed up. They unfortunately need to clean the room a second time. My standards is proportional to the room rate. When I am staying at their lower-priced properties, these details are easily be ignored. When it's a Park hotel and the room rate exceeds $300CDN, I expect better. I provided my feedback with the front desk when I checked out. Great stay at the Park Hyatt. We arrived late after check in, and had booked a 3 night stay for a king room. When we arrived, we were told that all the king rooms were sold out for the night and we would have to be placed in a suite with 2 full beds. We were able to move the next day, and they were very helpful with the move, sending up a staff member to assist with the room change. They also gave us a free movie to watch in room after we checked in. Great addition, followed by the room service that we ordered up to our room. The first night when staying in the 2 bed suite, we were placed in a corridor that was pretty loud. The guest staying next door were always in the hallway talking with friends and we could hear the doors slamming. It was much more relaxing following the next couple of nights when we were moved to our king suite room. Although we could still hear some doors slam in the early morning, it was much quieter. The air conditioning in the room is very quiet, so if you like a loud fan/white noise, I advise to bring a fan with you to block out hallway noise and street traffic. Did notice both rooms were a tad dusty in the bathroom and bar area, but other than that, pretty spotless. I did fall sick on one of the nights staying here, and housekeeping was a blessing! Make sure you bring lots of change for tips as they basically have staff doing everything for you like bring you ice, bring your luggage to your room, and park your car. Also, free wifi!-Amazing! Even if you can't afford to stay in this super swank hotel, I recommend going to the Roof Lounge for a drink. It's located on the 18th floor and provides an absolutely stunning view of the city. The bar is filled with beautiful and rich suede and leather seating and wonderful dark ambient lighting. There's also a summer terrace which provides an even more breathtaking view of the Toronto skyline. If you're visiting for the first time, it's a great way to see the city. Even if you've lived here all your life, this is a wonderful new way to soak up Toronto. However, because its the Park Hyatt, the drinks aren't cheap, They do have an extensive list of exotic cocktails (I had something with lychee in it) which are tasty but pricey. We just snacked on some complimentary nuts and olives because even the snacks and light fare they served seemed pretty overpriced. This is a must see for those visiting Toronto but probably not something you'll find in any guidebook! read more

There we were, sitting in the lobby of the Park Hyatt, drained after a late flight into Toronto. Moments ago we were told that the hotel has been fully booked up for the night and we would be banished to the Hyatt Regency across the town. I was seriously contemplating leaving a 1 star review, grumpy as I was. The typical gestures followed: refunded points, comped night, free taxis to and back from the other hotel. For some reason though it just didn't feel right that night, as if we were engaged in a bartering transaction. I get that a mistake has been made and they are doing the best they can to rectify it, but with a fully loaded weekend schedule and severe sleep deprivation all we wanted was a bed to jump on - it was a rather big disappointment from an organization the caliber of Park Hyatt. Thankfully my resentment hit plateau at that point and the experience swung up afterwards. We were greeted with many apologies at the Hyatt Regency and put up at the Director's Room for the night - it was a modern, clean and minimalist room that suited our needs for the night. the next day upon return to the Park Hyatt we were met with apologies and were offered an upgrade to a junior suite, with a bottle of wine and a cheese platter as well. The staff really seemed sincere in their apologies and that made a big difference: the Park Hyatt stopped being a market for bartering and became a place of hospitality in my heart again. The bottom line for me is this: in the day and age where we have driverless cars and 3D printers, it is a bit shocking to encounter issues with overbooking at the corporate level, but the folks on the ground are really doing some great heavy-lifting to make the customer experience as good as possible in a bad situation. I thank the staff and managers at the Park Hyatt for salvaging this experience for me, and hope this serves as a cautionary tale to Hyatt as a corporation to be more aware that the customer's experience starts from the moment they book the hotel - make sure they get what they are expecting the moment they walk through the door. read more

Let me start by saying that I stayed at the Park Hyatt Toronto every week for 7 months. I would not have done so if I didn't love it. Erin (the corporate sales manager) set me up for the entire stay, so I didn't need to worry about when I was coming in - if my schedule changed, a quick email to her and it was all done within minutes. I got to know all the staff over the time I stayed there, and they were all great. The front desk were always wonderfully helpful, and had me checked in before I could walk across the lobby. James the bellman knew me and that I always wanted to leave a bag with him when I went home for the weekend - he even got upset when I didn't leave it over Christmas!! Louis would know what drink I would want with my room service depending on what entrée I ordered (yes, I'm a creature of habit). One of the biggest thanks has to go to the wonderful gentlemen who so very kindly, and bravely, brought a coffee to my room every morning. They saw my in all sorts of sleep-deprived states, and still managed to bring a smile to my un-caffeinated face. I was lucky enough to get to stay in the Pink Room a few times. It was like a grown up version of a little girl's princess room. I absolutely loved it! If you ever get the chance to stay in there, do! I can't recommend the Park Hyatt enough. I'll be back in Toronto in May on a personal trip, and there wasn't even a question of where I would be staying. Can't wait to be back! read more

This is a great hotel to stay in if you value good service, clean rooms and great location. I assumed this place might feel a bit snooty but it was not at all. Everyone from front desk, concierge to the bellhops were all warm and friendly. The location is very convenient as you are on the corner of Avenue and Bloor Street West so are well within a short walking distance to places like Louis Vutton, Tiffany's and a 3-5 min walk to the Bay, Holt Renfrew, William Sonama, Pottery Barn, H&M and Zara. The restaurants around here nearly all Italian which is fine for mainstream fare but for more interested eats, it is about a $10-$15 cab ride further to the west side. Also, this hotel is about a 5 min walk to the Bay subway station so that's very convenient. As for the room itself, it was set up in a fairly basic hotel sort of way. Decor was pretty average but the room was clean except for the vents which were quite dusty. We got the king size bed which was super comfy and lovely to sleep on. The pillows were all too soft for me but I like a firmer pillow, nonethless still a good night's rest. The bathroom was clean and the bathtub had amble room for toiletries. Good counterspace overall. The free shampoo and lotion was more perfumey than I would personally use but it did the trick. Room was not noisy at all - didn't hear too much traffic outside. Free wi-fi was strong and consistent. Hotel limo offered up free car service within a designated radius around the hotel which was very convenience if you managed to book it in time for an outing. You do have to find your way back to the hotel. Overall, great stay and would highly recommend. read more

We've been staying here every time we come to toronto since 2013. This last time has been pretty disappointing given our past experience. I found out today that this is bc they're closing 11/30/17 for TWO years for renovations. The spa is already closed for good so good luck with that when you pay the rate to stay at a park hyatt and there's no spa or steam room or anything really. The gym is present but it's almost all cardio equipment. There were exactly 3 sets of weights all under 10lbs. Kinda sad and i'm not a big weight lifter by any stretch. They also put us in the south tower this time and it is OLD. i can see why they would need renovations. The room was probably worse than a hilton courtyard. yes that bad. it was so tiny. we have a 4.5 month old baby so that was not going to work. We moved to the other side but u know with all the baby stuff it was super tiring. The first room also had someone else's wedding itinerary in it so it was part of a wedding block. Last thing we need is to be part of a wedding block with an infant. anyway, needless to say this will be our last stay since we won't be back before 11/30 regardless. The housekeeping on the north side even seems a bit lackluster this time. no turn down service (maybe they don't do that anymore) and forgot our water bottles. Stayed here for one night on a business trip. The hotel itself is desperate for renovation. The lobby is poorly designed and unwelcoming. Check in was fast. My room was in the north tower on the 5th floor. It had a mild odor. On the good side: The room is spacious. The room itself is not very sound proofed, so you could pretty much hear the street noise as if the windows were open. The bathroom is very weirdly arranged. The vanity water was scalding hot and couldn't get it to cool. The worst part of my stay is that on my checkout day I wanted to shower but no water came out at all. I didn't want to bother and go through the hassle of calling anyone because I had to leave and catch an early flight. I did bring it to the attention of the receptionist at checkout but all she said was oh no and laughed about it. I would never stay here again, I recommend you don't either. The area is beautiful but there are many other better hotels. read more

This review is only for the Roof Lounge located on the 18th floor. The Roof Lounge was literally my office while I was in Toronto...I was appreciative that the staff didn't gave me any attitude for staying there forever..and for that I would give it a 4 star...well that was until 6pm rolled around and then they wanted me to leave...so it's really a 3, but I tried to make up for it by ordering food and drinks. It's small with a beautiful view of the city. The bartender makes a great Caesar --my new hangover drink. I hate Bloody Mary but for some reason, I can handle a Caesar. I had the salmon wrapped around a breadstick and the tuna tapas. The tuna was better. Their ice coffee is coffee over ice. OJ is not freshly squeezed. The outdoor patio is small. During TIFF, you will definitely see a recognizable star everyday. I discovered that in Canada they only make their burgers well-done due to a mad cow outbreak --I think, so I went for their club sandwich w/ fries. There was nothing special about the sandwich, but I had to pay for space somehow...waitresses were nice. Overall, I had a good experience, and their cocktail drinks made up for their mediocre food. read more

If you are driving to the hotel, be assured there is valet parking for a charge per night. As you approach the entrance, you immediately see the check-in counter manned by a two-person team. Check-in is very personal with a lot of Mr./Mrs.-Last-Name and a myriad of questions/explanations intended to ensure your stay is as perfect as can be: Explanation of hotel features, a key to the mini-bar, newspaper preference (local, national, international), any last requests, and finally, directions to the elevator of your room and a have-a-pleasant-stay-and-if-there-is-anything-we-can-do-do-not-hesitate-to-ask. *Pearly White Smile* I have stayed at this Park Hyatt many times, and really, I am always pleased. The mark of a good hotel (one of many marks in my mind) is that everyone greets you and asks you how you are - from front staff, to cleaning staff, to heck! Any staff that walks by. To some, this might seem intrusive or annoying, but to me, it means that they really do care! (or if not, appearances are everything right?) This also provides ample opportunity in voicing any concerns you might have at any given moment. Various Room Numbers: I always reserve the Park King, away from the elevators and a quiet room. Yes, when booking, you can choose many options, such as the ones I listed, and also if you prefer staying at a low/high floor, smoking or non smoking, etc... My Park King rooms are very nice and large which means huge bed and a sitting area over looking Avenue Road. I like the idea of a sitting area as it adds a further dimension to just-a-shoe-box room and provides a seperate area where you can chill or even invite friends over for drinks. Yes, the Park King does accommodate the idea of a small get-together because the room is that big. The Park King is the most basic room category. Bathrooms are always clean and for a 5 star hotel, the hairdryer is detached. (Hotels are given 5 star rankings based on many criteria including hairdryers - if it is detached versus on the wall). My most recent visit to the Park Toronto had amenities from Le Labo which is a boutique cosmetic company heralding from Paris (and only sold in one store in Toronto). Two robes are provided, slippers, shoe shine kit, dry-cleaning service and ironing board, and the bathroom includes a bathtub and shower. Pure Heaven. Noise-Level: QUIET! Because I always ask for a quiet room away from the elevator, I hear nothing. Extras: The concierge really can do anything for you. One time I forgot my BB charger, they had one for me to borrow. Another time, I had to go to a party and did not have time to buy a bottle of wine at the LCBO. Well, voila the concierge for getting me two excellent bottles of wine at 10pm to take. I don't think the concierge at this Hyatt is a Cle D'or, but really, total love for the concierge. They will bend over backwards to make anything happen for you - a tip here and there is always appreciated. There is a resident Hyatt limo service where it can take you anywhere in the downtown core - free of charge. This is great if you don't feel like taking a taxi and if you plan on boozing, this is a great feature for hotel guests. Take advantage. The concierge on the main floor provides large umbrellas for unexpected rainy days - ask and they will gladly provide. Park Hyatt Rooftop bar is still one of my favorite places to chill. It is so convenient as it is within the hotel and there is also the main restaurant (Annona). One of my favorite things to do is order room-service breakfast at this hotel and just eat and watch tv. Conclusion: This would be a definite in my books - it meets all the basics and then some...and then some...and then some more. This is more than a hotel - it is a place you come back to because people know you, your preferences are always remembered, and of course, it is a Park Hyatt. Every stay has been on a weekend and the average rate of a Park King Room is around $399-$450 (various dependents) not including tax and additional hotel charges. If you are looking for an above and beyond stay, this is it! Moreover, it is very close to the Bloor-Yorkville area which means plenty of things to do and the metro is so close (Museum Station). After working in hotels in Toronto and knowing the scene I cannot in good conscience give the Park Hyatt Toronto an overwhelming review! The staff is rude and generally speaking some of the least knowledgeable of the city when it comes to how to treat a custom. One you first walk in there is no one to meet you, you must search for the check-in desk (just bad design, no fault of the staff) The spa - yes the services are great and so are the staff, but tell me how can you relax with the room trembling with the rumble of the subway...especially at the ridiculous prices they charge. The one good thing the "Park Hyatt Toronto" has going for it is the amazing view it offers from it's rooftop bar - there are very few in Toronto that compare, never mind come close. Finally, I find the rooms very pricey for what the hotel has to offer. One last thing - they have no idea how to treat the film industry and the city needs the film industry - can someone please tell them! read more

Came here for a wedding where both the ceremony and reception was being held. The ceremony was small and sweet. It was in one of the small meeting rooms in the upper floor. This place has a lot if meeting rooms ! Reception was on tr Roof lounge on the 18th floor with a spectacular view of the CN tower and environs. The wedding was small only 50 tables which made it really intimate. We had our own coat check as well as bar (I mean not shared with other parties) And there was a small dance floor and room for and room for a small live band. The food is excellent. And I was most impressed with the servers who always served ladies first and always from the right. This is what I expected of service and honestly I'm shocked other venues do not do this. They connected an iPod to the stereo system pretty easily which was great for music and dancing. The dance floor for this room was tiny. But proportional to the size of the room. Also there was a small lounger area which was nice to relax in. During the entire day from start to finish there was a personnel from the hotel that was following us and ensuring everything was to par. He was watching the servers the entire time and fixed any issues ASAP. I was super impressed by the service here as well as the food. It's everything what it should be for a wedding venue. ***Review for the Rooftop Lounge Only*** When I am in the mood for feeling like a celebrity, I always head up to the Rooftop Lounge. It has all of the classiness a celebrity could ask for, without the pretentious attitudes. I went there on Friday night with a group of friends and we sat around the lounge and had a couple bottles of (not so overpriced) wine. There was a fire going in the fireplace in the centre of the room and the ambience of that of a cozy cottage in the middle of winter. The dress code is smart casual and everyone seemed pretty okay with me wearing a turtle neck wool dress. More casual than smart! The bathrooms are always a crowd pleaser (believe it or not, I always need to check out bathrooms in places - have since I was a little girl). I always judge a place by its bathroom first! This place is worth going to for a date or an after dinner drinks lounge. You also never know who you might see. :) read more

What a nice surprise for me when, during a quickie seminar, my hosts decided to "park me" at the Park Hyatt. Though my last visit in Toronto for work was at the Hyatt Regency, a loooong time ago, I don't think I was overly impressed. On the other hand, The Park Hyatt is understated and is almost set up for folks in town on a work related mission. Why would I say that? Maybe its the overall "look". Maybe its their multimedia capability. Maybe its because, for a hotel, it was very, very quiet. But for my needs last week, it business-suited me to a T. Though subdued in decor, my room was very comfortable and very clean and I had a pretty decent city view to enjoy, as well. My concierge worked to ensure I had what I needed; even when I had forgotten what I needed. I'll also second and third the motions of previous Yelp reviewers by saying the Rooftop Bar was over the top in many ways: really a sweet spot to enjoy. I really didn't have the opportunity to eat many meals here, but I did have breakfast there. This was what I would call a more catered meal, due to numbers alone, but the food was very, very good. Who knew you could get strawberries the size of the palm of your hand up here in the middle of November. The other thing about the Park Hyatt was its location, it is so easy to get around from here; even just hoofing it. I don't think I would label this spot as a place to hit for "vacation", but if I am in town for work again, I would book a room here. Nice! read more

Wow. Just wow. I was lucky enough to stay at the Park Hyatt this past week for a work conference. From the minute I pulled up front and the valet took my car, I was in the lap of luxury. The lobby is beautiful and the staff were courteous and friendly throughout my stay. Almost every time I passed an employee in the halls they wished me good morning (or evening); when someone saw me headed to the conference room, they would ask how the meetings were going and if the service was alright, etc. The entire facilities are spotless -- immaculate, in fact. And throughout the hotel there are bowls of potpourri...not the overwhelming floral kind your grandmother has, but elegant and fruit-scented. My room was perfectly posh. Possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in! It was so difficult to get up in the morning, but totally worth it when I got to shower in the huge tub in the even huge-r mirrored bathroom. I could have stayed curled up in the one-size-fits-no-one robe for the entire trip and would have been perfectly content. But alas, as I mentioned this was a business stay. Which turned out not to be such a bad thing, considering the breakfasts, snacks and lunches were catered by the hotel. The food they provided was nothing short of spectacular...everything was fresh and delicious, usually with a Mediterranian flair, and literally everyone I was with absolutely loved it! It also never seemed to stop coming. The conference room (surprise) was also wonderful. Perfectly equipped for our party of about 25-30 people. If you're planning a work function and can get manage it, I highly recommend the Hyatt. Complaints from my colleagues were minimal. One woman didn't receive a wake-up call, a few people had difficulty checking in, and the valet service when we were leaving was slow. I'm not at all accustomed to staying at hotels like the Park Hyatt, and this was truly an amazing new experience. read more

It's hard not to rate a 5-star hotel highly, considering the staff at these types of hotels are very accommodating, rooms are clean, and bathrooms are enormous. The sneaky best part of nice hotels is the big bathrooms. But I digress. To start, the Park Hyatt in Toronto has a solid location. It's next to the Royal Ontario Museum, expensive shopping, expensive restaurants, and pretentious urbanites and tourists in their $225 Dolce & Gabbana tees. I exclude myself from this aforementioned pretentious group because I only stayed at the Park Hyatt because it was free. A perk to being a Hyatt Visa cardholder is you get an annual free night at any Hyatt in the world. That being said, prices here range in the $250 - $500 CAD range, which isn't AWFUL. But dang, I just don't think I could bring myself to pay that for any hotel. I'm not elite or rich enough to understand the reasoning, so I'll simply leave it to you to decide on the reasonableness. Although that is precisely why I became a Hyatt Visa member, so I wouldn't have to pay for rooms. The rooms were nice, of course, although they had a bit of a dated feel to them. Carpet wasn't flush with the wall and was sorta messed up and stringy, for example. I still also hate that these types of places don't provide commentary breakfast, or anything commentary, really. Like what are we paying for? The bathroom was nice and spacious, and I always appreciate robes. I've stayed at the Park Hyatt in Tokyo and the Hyatt Regency in Buffalo, and find the Hyatt Regency lines to be more worth the money than Park Hyatt. Well, if I paid for them, anyway lol. Actually, even the lower-tiered Hyatt Place hotels give you breakfast. If you're rich, then you aren't even reading this review. If you're just feeling splurgey, at least do some price shopping before settling on here. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Park Hyatt Toronto. I had the opportunity to stay at the Park Hyatt twice and was REALLY pleased with the accommodations. Rooms were big, bed were incredibly comfy, excellent views, great work out room, amazing view at the roof top bar, superb service and professional staff. The events and sales team were well-organized and quick to respond to any needs. There is even a driver that will take you anywhere in the city (for freeee!). Though the Park Hyatt is a bit of a trek from the Convention Center, it is still conveniently located to the subway station just half a block down. What's even better is that the hotel is also close to a ton of shopping and theatres. Great location to stay if you're visiting for the annual international film fest. I also had the chance to experience the spa at the Park Hyatt. WOW. Sure, everything was a bit pricey, but it was definitely worth the buck. I was more than impressed with the facilities and services. Relaxation couldn't be any more than this! If you're looking to take advantage of the spa treatments, be sure to ask about couples treatments. read more

Attire: Five inch pumps and a little black dress Destination: The Hyatt Rooftop patio I entered the elevator and pushed the button for the 18th floor. The doors opened and I made my way to the dimly lit lounge. The rooftop patio is small and it is first come first served - no reservations. We were here for scotch and cigars. You can bring your own cigars here as well. When it came to the scotch part of the evening, the waitstaff definitely require more training. I was mortified when they asked if I wanted my single malt "on the rocks". Why don't you just ask me if I want it shaken not stirred? The waiter saw my face and said... "Neat it is!". I asked for more water. The poured water into my 30 dollar drink. I put my hand over the cup but some water snuck in. They should have discounted my bill, they didn't. Anyways, it's a great venue, just watch your scotch and have your hand ready. read more

Great location. The rooms are really nice and bed was super comfortable. The only reason it gets 4 stars was the shower. At 6:30 in the morning I ran out of hot water. At 7:30 PM on another night I ran out of hot water. I realize it was in the negative temps outside but running out of hot water is something a hotel shouldn't do... During my week long stay I encountered and interacted with several employees. All were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Big KUDOs to the team working at 1 AM on 1/24/13. I lost my cell phone and couldn't remember if I left it at the restaurant or in a cab. The guy working outside that night got in touch with security and pulled the tapes to locate which cab I had been riding in and called them to look for it. I eventually got my phone back 8 days later but the hotel staff didn't have to do all of this leg work for me and I was real appreciative to all of their efforts to help me find something I lost. I will definitely stay here when visiting Toronto. read more

This was my first time at Park Hyatt and it was an amazing stay! All the staff were friendly and approachable. The lobby was was well kept, clean and modern looking. Our room was beautiful and also modernly decorated. When we got the cards to enter our room we noticed we got two double beds and had actually booked and paid for a king bed room. We went back downstairs to reception where she apologized and quickly corrected the problem. All in all, check-in and check-out were both pleasant, fast and efficient. Located in Yorkville which has many stores to shop at (including many designer and specialty boutiques), other hotels and restaurants within walking distance. I'd recommend the rooftop lounge which has an amazing view! It's winter now so I'm sure during the warmer months, getting to go outside on the rooftop lounge would be even better. My only critiques from my stay would be that from the time we checked out, the wait for the driver to get our car from valet was a bit lengthy. My other critique is that compared to other hotels in the area, valet parking is quite pricey! We paid $50.85 for one night. We realized across the street had a flat overnight rate of $25 for parking after we had already checked out, which we will do instead for next time. A faster valet process and cheaper valet rates would have made me given 5 stars instead of 4. To sum up, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Park Hyatt and stay there again in the future! read more

This hotel is all things glamor. The restaurant is wonderful, the spa is wonderful, and the rooms are wonderful. I stayed there a few years ago for a week and was treated by my mother to a spa pedicure and it was heavenly. They have a wonderful spa facility with skilled pedicurists. Additionally, there were cabanas in the ladies locker room that have mini flat screen TVs . . . quite luxe. There is some great shopping in the area, too. read more
