Park Cities Pediatrics is always my go-to recommendation for pediatric care. It's a smaller practice, so you never feel like a number -- the team is warm, attentive, and truly cares about each family. The physicians are incredibly smart and always so helpful, which gives me a lot of confidence as a parent. I feel very safe and grateful to call them my children's pediatricians. My son goes to Dr. Matthew Simon and my daughter goes to Dr. Tiffany Lieu. Both are fantastic! As an owner of Clinic Concierge, I refer families here all the time because I trust the care they provide. We love Dr. Simon! Been going to his practice since our baby was born 22 months ago. I'm a first time mom and nervous and anxious and feel i have dumb questions and he always sits with me patiently and answers my questions and doesn't make me feel dumb or crazy. My child's weight percentage dropped from 42% to 23% his BMI dropped from 19% to 5% under this doctors care,he gained 1.2 pounds in a year,Dr.Lieu said it was normal. The national average weight gain in a year for a 10 year old is 4-7 pounds. How the hell can 1.2 poundsbe normal? Dr.Lieu a childs body will not grow linear without proper weight gain. This medically false. Dr.Lieu did no allergy testing but recommended Zyrtec daily. After recommending Zrytec my son went back to her office 4 times with symptoms that matched the side affects on the Zyrtec website. Despite this the doctor continued to recommend Zrytec, even after I asked her to quit. My son had never in his life needed medical attention 1 time. Under this doctor he needed attention 5 times on one year. My advice - find another doctor,and question anything she says or writes its not based on medical fact. This person has the ability to cause a disaster and then stick with the disaster rather than fixing it. read more

We had an extremely disappointing experience with Dr. Simon. He saw us for 10 mins during each appointment and rushed us out every time. But the most angering part is that he completely overlooked some time-sensitive medical issues with our baby. Our baby boy was born with a misshapen ear and Dr. Simon confidently said that "it would self-correct" and to do nothing. At 3 weeks, a different provider suggested we take him to an expert to get his ear checked out: Dr Byrd who invented the EarWell system. Dr Byrd said that at 3 weeks, we've already missed the optimal window to start ear-shaping treatment, which is 10-14 days. Dr Byrd also said that self-correcting ears look very different than our baby's and most importantly: They self-correct within 72hrs, or not at all. Dr Byrd was really surprised that our pediatrician didn't recommend we take him to evaluate his ear. We saw Dr Simon twice after 72hrs, and in both instances he wrongfully said to do nothing with the ear and that it will self-correct. We are so upset that Dr. Simon misled us, and made us loose a precious week of ear shaping treatment time. The second issue that Dr. Simon grossly neglected to recommend we address is our baby's torticollis which we noticed right away (he always prefers sleeping on one side). Again, after seeing a specialist, it turned out that we urgently needed to address the torticollis because our baby's already started developing a flat spot in his skull. We are so upset that again, Dr. Simon recommended doing nothing. We strongly recommend against anyone seeing Dr. Simon for newborn care. He neglected to act on two medical problems during the first three weeks of our baby. Please find someone else. read more

Recently moved to Dallas from Detroit and came across this office on Google. I'm a new mommy and this was my daughter's 1st visit to this office. Pros: I was able to schedule an appt for my daughter same day to be seen by a doctor to address some concerns I had. The office was very clean and the staff was very friendly. There was a visiting Pediatrician my daughter was seen by (I'm assuming flu season is very busy) she was very patient with us, answered all of our questions and was very informative. I also received a nice print out summary of her visit. There's an online portal you can sign up for to view this information, but since this was my first visit I liked having the print out summary. I am extremely disappointed in Dr. Simon. I have an older child who had a severe reaction to the meningitis vaccine which resulted in hives daily for three solid months, so I asked for Dr. Simon to split up a month apart the tetanus and meningitis vaccine that is required for my youngest to attend 7th grade. He refused per his policy to not split vaccines and his nurse sent me to a pharmacy to get them and then I could return to the office. Upon arriving to the pharmacy, I learned that I needed a script. I called and Dr. Simon refused to write it. I'll take my records now please! read more

We recently moved from LA, our son has had the same pediatrician since birth. I'd like to believe we had a special relationship with her one that is hard to let go of because she knew our son so well. I was so relieved to find Park Cities Pediatrics and receive such a warm welcome from all of the staff. Everyone knows how to perfectly interact with children making the process fun as well as how to communicate every part of the exam in a way that was not intimidating for him. Dr. Simon and the nurse had so much positive energy and they really took the time to connect with us, we felt cared for despite it being our first visit. Terrible doctors (both Dr. Simon and Dr. Lieu). We were taking our kid to their office all of last year several times a month (in and out within 7 mins), hoping to help our child who was constantly vomiting. They were treating him as if he had strep throat with antibiotics non-stop (sometimes several times a month), and they never found a real cause for his illness. We were assigned Dr. Lieu when she began working at Park Cities Pediatrics. There were many times when they'd test our child for strep throat and either tell us that they'd call us with the results, or Dr. Lieu would walk in almost instantly (the fastest strep test?) and either say our child had strep or he "might" have strep. She kept treating our child for strep even though he had constant vomiting. We told Dr. Lieu that maybe the strep she kept visually assuming might be the reason, that maybe another problem was causing the vomiting, which turned out to be the case after seeing several specialists. If they charged us thousands all year for office visits, (consultations estimated 30mins a per insurance billing) and strep testing, you'd assume the test would show the result as being "positive" or "negative" and not "he might have strep." The last straw was when they prescribed him 3 times in a row (10 days followed by 5 days and again 10 days) with different antibiotics within one month. We had to run away from these doctors to save the health of our child. Keep in mind, if you are a parent reading this, the amount of school our child missed due to these two doctors. read more

Dr. Simon has been our primary care physician for my two sons for a few months and he is great! We left our last doctor because of a move out of town and we are so happy with Dr. Simon's practice. I love that his practice is small enough that we aren't waiting around when we get there. We are usually the only ones in the waiting room and they call us back promptly even if we are early. They have a great system, and customer service is top notch. Our last doctor was in a group and it was kind of a cluster every time we went (for sick or well visits) and I would dread going because the wait would always be forever...and that's no fun with kids in tow. Dr. Simon and his staff at Park Cities Pediatrics are fantastic. Matthew has a wonderful "bedside" manner with our children and takes the time to get to know them and engage in their lives. And the fact that he was a resident at Dallas Children's Hospital has proven very helpful when one of our sons needed to go to Children's ER- Dr. Simon had the right contacts to help facilitate that process quickly. While we miss Dr. Milam Pharo, who ran this clinic for years, we are thankful that Dr. Pharo also saw the great qualities in Matthew and helped cultivate Dr. Simon as his successor. He's the best! He's attentive and kind. He's also very easy-going, which helps calm the nerves when you're a first-time parent. My favorite thing about his practice is that he leaves his schedule open enough to make time for patients who may not have an appointment but need to see him for an emergency. At the same time, he never runs late. We've never had to sit and wait for our appointment time. They'll even call us in if we're there early! read more

Dr. Simon is an amazing pediatrician. He is very reassuring to both new moms and dads. He doesn't rush through seeing his patients and is great with both of our daughters. I chose Dr Simon as our Pediatrician for my toddler and have been delighted with his exceptional care for her. He is so dedicated and passionate about what he does and takes pride in making sure our daughter is healthy and developing.
