I/we had the most odd experience with this doctor's office. I made an appointment for my boyfriend…read moreon 1/10 around 4:30pm for 1/19 at 9:50am. I had a whole conversation with the receptionist that day plus obviously have the record of my phone call in my recent calls, as well as in the notes in my phone. The day prior to the scheduled appointment no one called us to remind us of the appointment, which I found odd, so I called on the morning of to confirm. I spoke with Rosa, who says the office has absolutely no record of the appointment I made and even if we had made an appointment, that they would need to reschedule because the doctor would be out of office this week. Note, I am an executive assistant for a living and I have never once had this happen in 6.5+ years of my work so I am not sure how this mishap happened. Also, she neglected to apologize for their mistake and just kept saying they didn't have an appointment for us and that we would need to reschedule. Not awesome...

After FOUR weeks of trying to get an appointment here - they were closed for 2 weeks at…read morethe end of the year, but this wasn't mentioned anywhere in the phone messages or online AND they're closed on Fridays - the first question isn't "how can we help you" - it is, "What insurance do you have." While I understand the business needs of an office probably better than most, this is absolutely not how you talk to other humans. I was rudely informed that this provider does not see anyone with an HMO, but this could have all been different. I have a written referral to this provider. And while I get that contracts change all the time, that's no reason to abuse someone who calls seeking care that you cannot provide. There are plenty of other providers out there and, hopefully, they've hired staff who can do better.

I came in complaining of pain in my foot (after my previous doctor took an xray and said nothing was wrong). Dr. Dewing believed me, and gave me a referral to a podiatrist who discovered I indeed had a fracture. She also inquired about and addressed a few other health concerns I've been facing, and issued the appropriate referrals and/or RXs. Today she called to followed up some lab results, and I was astounded as this was the first time in YEARS that I've had a doctor care enough to check in with lab/MRI results. Her office manager is also amazingly responsive, competent and knowledgeable. I'm so pleasantly surprised and grateful to be under Dr. Dewing's care, and I highly recommend her.

I was heart broken to learn that he retired recently and so wish he was still seeing patients. He removed my tonsils in the early '90s and was amazing. The best ENT hands down. He encourages the daily use of saline solution to help keep nasal passages happy. He's given me special vitamins for my occasional dizzy spells. Only if these methods don't work will he use antibiotics or steroids. He's my favorite doctor ever!

Is all she cared about was you have great insurance coverage =Money, money. I had cut myself on the job, I am a employee of the City of Laguna Beach. She gave me a tetanus shot and since it was Thursday, she would give me until Monday, then back to work. I called her on Friday, stating the site of my wound was very red, puffy and pus was coming out of the site.She order some antibiotics, and told me to rest,needless to say, I wound up in the ER and had a big case of Cellulitis. This so called doctor is so lost in her head thinking about other things then patient care. DO NOT GO TO HER!!! She is as bad as they come. I had never been so sick in my life. I had a very difficult time finding a pulmonologist for a follow up after an emergent procedure so it was a relief to be able to get in to see Dr. Shahinian within the recommended timeframe. Just moved here a year ago and it's been hard finding a good doctor…read more Had my appointment today and very impressed how much she listens and takes her time with you. They just moved into the offices from another office, so the only downside is it was inviting at first how bare it was with no decorations and boxes everywhere. She took her time with me. My veins had collapsed years ago for another medical condition so I was worried they were gonna poke and prod my arm. She gently took her time finding my small vein and got it the first time without picking my arm out like other doctors in the past. On top of that she did it herself, not a nurse. Glad I found a good doctor in SOC to get my physicals done!
