LOVE this store - by far - and the fact that they give back 100% to the community? Wow! The only reason that it didn't get the 5th star, is because as I perused the clothes, there were so many that were not even wearable (shame on the people that donated them, first of all.) I am talking nail polish and bleach stains...c'mon people, really? However, I did see some amazing bargains! Like I got some American Eagle long sleeved shirts for under $5 (stocking up for winter..woo-hoo!) and if you need baby clothes - holy cow, this is THE place to go, because you know how fast they grow. Very organized. Have clothing organized by size & color. Usually have things priced right where they should. Not too pricey which I have seen at some thrift stores. Staff is helpful when you have any questions.(if price tag is missing) read more

I will never go back I bought a futon in there and it was all boxed in I asked them to check it for me and make sure it was In working condition my advice demand to check it yourself or just don't go there because they want to make a buck they don't care about anything else but that!!!! read more

Love Love Love Park Avenue Thrift!!! The store is well organized, the prices low, the merchandise is (as typical of a thrift store) always revolving. You won't find anything stained or broken - all of the electric merchandise is tested before being put on the floor, and all clothing checked for wear and stains before being priced. After a week of being on the floor, the prices start to go down, and will go down every week until it's priced at 20 cents!! They will happily let you plug something in to see if it works, try the clothes on, count the puzzle pieces, check the DVDs for scratches because they do not offer any kind of refund, even with receipt. If you're having a garage sale, they'll loan you racks for your clothing and tables to display your stuff. All they ask is that after your sale, you box or bag up the remaining merchandise and donate it when they come to retrieve their racks and/or tables. They offer delivery (for a fee) for large purchases and free pickup service for large donations - beds, furniture, left-over garage sale stuff in SELL-ABLE condition, meaning no stains, tears, can't smell like cat/dog/other animal pee. The guys who work in the back and do the deliveries/pick-ups (at the donation door) are always friendly and come running when they hear the door ding. There's a handful of good-looking guys who consequently cause me to donate/shop more often than I maybe need. The girls who work on the floor are always friendly and helpful. People looking for volunteer or community service hours can get them here, but expect to work hard. Not only is the merchandise clean and functional, the employees good-looking and friendly, and the prices low, but the store is an outreach of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, and 100% of the profits are given back to the community. Every penny above operating expense is donated to local community endeavors - Enid SPCA, Enid Symphony, Gaslight Theater and many other "quality of life" endeavors. Any not-for-profit organization can apply for grants from Park Avenue Thrift. After four years of operation (the store opened in October of 2007), Park Avenue Thrift has donated over $527,000 back to Enid organizations. When you know your money is providing jobs for local people and then any excess being donated back to the community, how do you NOT want to shop there? read more

My daughter bought assistive handrails in a box foe me foe when I got ho e from the hospital for spinal surgery. Unfortunately half of the product was missing. She was told no refund and no credit I went back with two products a box full of Rick rack which was labeled as a seat elevator. They cashier said she could refund only the Rick rack box but with a 1$ restock fee to my daughter. Of course the brickarack was back on the shelves the next day. The handrails could not ne refunded. Products are sold as si. Those however were taken nonetheless and put back on the shelves.the next day I asked to speak with a manager I asked how Christian is it to not only not refund me but to turn around and resale it to the next unsuspecting customer? I was corrected by floor manager Amanda that this was NOT Christian organization but a not for profit organization. Amanda saw no problem in taking the defective product from me refusing the refund, then putting it out for sale again. I asked her who she worked for she asked "why so you can write that in your letter. I told her I knew Park avenues was church based and if she knew which church it was affiliated with? "she said she wasn't going to answer any of my questions because I had an attitude". I tried to get a picture of her but she ran off. So I went to the Sanctuary and got a copy of the Mission statement and the religious wording that makes people think ther is a loving God within the walls of this store and asked the clerk to please get that to her. How many times are they going to take advantage of people with physical needs in the name of their FATHER?? The largest most organized thrift store in Northwest Oklahoma! I really like how they color code the sales week and display the signs so its easy to see the discount. The people are generally very friendly and helpful. The store is well maintained and clean for your shopping pleasure. Easy to find whatever you may be shopping for. read more
