They only had a small selection of the high socks and not the right size, but settled for a pair of sandals for 1.3€ - what a deal. One thing they have in common is the same great prices. I guess that may be a company standard worldwide, which is a good thing! It is beautiful! They have so much awesome stuff! From jeans to cardigans to tees and dresses. I'm a fan! This is their biggest location, there is also another shop in the Huidenstraat. Their stuff is not cheap for a student but is affordable if you have a normal job or if you save up a bit. And their sales are the best! There are always still a lot nice items left in the sale and the prices really drop. So nice. I always come here when there is sale.

Monki is really awesome. It is a Swedish brand, from the same owner as H&M. I would describe their style as; basics with a twist, edgy, hip and colourful. They use a lot of colour, also colourblocking, interesting fabrics. They have a lot of stuff that is oversized. Also a lot of things with nice prints. Shoes, bags, socks, underwear and very cool jewellery. Inside, the shop also looks really cool and the girls shopping here do as well. This place attracs a young hip,almost hipster crowd. The charming owner made me and my friends feel welcome, helped pick out a few items of clothing, including perfect "Amsterdam" gifts for my friends back in New York.
