I called and checked in requesting Randy bc of a review I'd read. The guy never told me his name but no one would write a rave review about this pedicure. Does it look nice? Sure! My feet are kept up pretty nicely regardless, I use to do nails in an upscale spa. My feet did not need the callous gel he applied. He didn't wipe my nails with acetone or alcohol so I doubt this polish will last long... and no base coat. He swiped something across my cuticles before polishing not sure if it was primer or cuticle oil. And I know I could have told him his errors but I really just wanted to relax, not train someone. I enjoy coming here for the convenience first and foremost. It's right up the road from me, it's a walk-in place and they happen to be open on Sunday's, the one day I know I won't have to work. This weekend I tried the Spa Volcano Pedicure. For 58.00, i got foaming bubbles, wax, hot towels and my favorite, the hot stones. The nicest gentleman assisted me too. My feet felt really great. It wasn't the best pedi I have ever had; the French pedi tips were a little thick and he used a clear gloss rather than the pink for the base part that I'm used to but it was a very relaxing 90 minutes of my time. Bleeding into my shoe as I write this. Sat down, guy barely touches my toenails with a file, so I say *can you please cut my long toenails?* and he complies. Then he starts jabbing at my big toe cuticle with a tool, and then grabs another tool and starts yanking. I have high pain tolerance, but this hurts. OW! I say. *And he continues*, until he pulls out the side of my toenail - which is NOT ingrown - by the roots, while I am yelling OW OW OW, and holds it up like a prize. That's it, I say. I'm leaving now. "Is OK, is OK," they all tell me, smiling cheerfully. No it is not OK, guys, I am bleeding and in pain and you removed part of my toenail that did not need removing. One guy grabs a bottle of liquid styptic, which does not stop the bleeding, and another one attempts to apply some NAIL GLUE to the cut. Get the *** away from me, I say, as I put on my shoes and limp out. What a nightmare. I'm no safetyist but jeez talk about infection potential. My best friend and I went in there for pedicures. Horrible decision. She was there before me, only us and a couple other ladies getting their nails done. Her guy doing her pedi was rude and didn't listen to us nor cared about the color options. Then when we asked about the pedicures he said a simple one was called "water" and $5 extra for everything else we wanted added on (like callus remover) I was very upset because I had just went there for my birthday not long ago and this was not how this place was! My best friend said "ok" for just water and that is exactly what it was. She soaked her feet for almost 30 minutes, my water had still not been turned on and when we asked for my water to be turned on it was scorching hot and he huffed and puffed when attempting to fix it. The pedicure I had today has unfortunately made me look elsewhere for service from now on (see picture). I also got a fill-in, and I've consistently received great service in this regard. However, the cost of the fill-in along with the cost of the most expensive pedicure on their menu with gel polish left me with a hilariously bad pedicure for a total of $123. The worst part is that I can't simply remove the gel polish on my toes. I will have to go elsewhere to have this completely redone tomorrow. read more

I read really good reviews before going to this place and I totally regret going! I haven't had any kind of nail extensions in probably 10 years so I thought I'd try a place in Clarksville. I haven't had dip powder (or anything) but I'm pretty sure they did not do a good job. There's many flat spots and ridges on each nail and the sides of my actual nails are showing. I was hoping to have a conversation with someone and maybe be offered extra designs or ideas that I could pay for. I definitely would not come here. There's plenty of other places to try around here. The salon is spacious but Super expensive for the quality of work. I spent nearly $90 for an express (lowest price available) mani pedi with gel. The mani was like 40 and pedi 45. That is more than high end nail salons in some areas and this is not a high end place. The express is super fast with no soaking which leads to poor work in a hurry and extreme use of nail drill which cracked my gel nail polish and weakened my nails significantly within 3 days. Unless they change prices and practices would not recommend. read more

He continued to tell me I wanted the $63 service, which I didn't and refused to explain what was the difference in levels and said that their website is not up to date as far as descriptions of services. I had high hopes for this place after ready the reviews. I was disappointed. The pedicure "menu" was hard to understand. I just wanted a basic pedicure with gel polish but ended up with a $45 pedicure plus $25 on top of that for the gel polish. I feel like I normally pay $10 more for gel at most places $25 is high for my liking. A lot of the reviews said that this salon opens your own tools and uses those new tools on you. I have been to salons that have done this and Venus Nails definitely does not. The only reason I gave this 3 stars was because the pedicure (while pricey) was amazing. They also use the "grater" on callouses. A lot of places don't do that anymore and boy did I need it. My only complaint on that was that some of the gel was painted onto my skin so it was already peeling off a couple of hours later. I also got a full on my acrylic nails. Overall t looks okay but they made the acrylics narrower than my actual nail so you can see my nail around it. (See pictures) it's not a drastic difference but I notice it. I also kept telling the man (Tommy) that I could see through my polish and I would like another coat but he would only fix my thumb, not the rest. It was $40 for the fill, trim down, and gel polish. I gave this place a chance because it was closer to my house but I will be going back to Paradise Nails from now on. read more

After making the nail on my ring finger bleed and tearing into the nail bed on my pinky finger, I told her I just wanted my nails taken off, nothing else. She started soaking my nails and as she was grinding the nails on my left hand, sliced my pinky finger open with the drill. Incredibly careless. I had a HORRIBLE set of acrylics from a different nail salon. I spent a week with those ego damaging, soul sucking cat claws before I couldn't take it any longer. I prudently searched for good reviews and called a few nail salons to see who could fix my damaged self worth by giving me something more in line with my original goal of "stronger, yet natural looking nails". Julie. Julie is amazing. Julie LISTENED to what I wanted. She looked at pictures of what I liked on Pinterest. She slowly, methodically, and painlessly removed the God forsaken acrylics. Julie then gave me a gel manicure over my brittle, acrylic damaged natural nails. They look and feel amazing. I am so happy. I left the salon on a cloud carried by unicorns and laughing leprechauns. I will continue to go back to Venus, and hopefully get to have Julie the nail goddess give my nails the glorious treatment they deserve. read more

This is the first place I've came to, to get my nails done since moving to Clarksville. The staff was great & very friendly. I got a pedicure, French tips and gel French tips on my fingers. I left satisfied with the way my nails turned out. I got my nails done Wednesday afternoon, it's now Sunday and the polish on my toes have completely peeled off. I'm assuming I should go for gel or shellac on my toes next time?? I was originally going to get acrylic tips on my fingers, but I got convinced that the gel powder was more durable, stayed glossy looking & wouldn't ruin my nails unlike acrylics.. I paid an extra $8 for that and I should've just stuck to the acrylics. Honestly, there doesn't seem to be a difference at all between acrylics & gels in my opinion. I have been to Paris Nails Spa before and had AMAZING work done on my nails with Hellen! Literally the best! THE BEST!! l Normally tip $20 because lm always pleased with my nails with Helen. She however was busy today with another customer, and l really didn't want to wait around with all the ppl that were in there. So l took a chances with another lady (Kim). Big mistake! She cut my nails way to short (so short l cant even scratch my arm, some of them are down to the wik) and didn't even cover my whole nail with polish. There were see through places and rough edges. I got a manicure as well and she did not open up a freshly sterilized pack of tools nor did she even cut the skin around my nail. After a manicure you normally get a massage and because she was on the phone during this time she only did one arm, for like 3 seconds! During the duration of my manicure she took two calls and was unfortunately for me, unfocused. She never even offered me water or anything. She never spoke more than one word at at time to me (short, square, done, sit, pay, change, Kim) After my manicure l had a polish change on my toes. The chair was pushed all the way forward and l couldn't move it because they have zip tied the control to the chair. Kim tired to move it for me guessing what l would like and l kept telling her l just need the chair moved back because my legs were longer than the room given. She did not understand, so l had to lift the arm rest to obtain the control so l could move the chair back. She also dropped the LED light on my toes twice when putting it around my foot!! Ughhhh By this point l was just mad, irritated and wanted to leave. After she was done l asked her what her name was because l knew l was going to review the place and hopefully save you from the disappointment l feel now. She was so surprised that l asked her name. I was wearing a mask the whole time, other wise my facial expressions would have given my disappointment away! Needless to say l did not tip her and l will be making an appointment with Helen from here on out!...l gave this place a three star only because Hellen and some of the others are so friendly and kind, and they really do a good job.
